Janine Hall was the best agent we have dealt with in over 40 years of various home purchases. She was continuously responsive and understanding of our needs and wishes as far as the type of home we were looking for. She recalled our "quest" and contacted another agent regarding a listing that had been expired once we were in a position to buy and we were able to get the exact home we wanted through her efforts to get the property re-listed and available for our bid. She assisted us with pre-move-in services that were entirely outside her scope of responsibility and her diligence in assisting with minor repairs was outstanding. We would recommend this agent to any of our family or friends without hesitation.

He was really friendly and nice until we signed the contract. We signed a six month contract with him and after we signed the contract he was never available and his assistants would call us back. He had several assistants and none of them knew what was going on so each of them would tell us something different. When we would talk to him directly, it was very brief like I was wasting his time and had stupid questions. He was very condescending and demeaning. He would arrive late and not apologize. On one occasion, he really stressed me out on the phone because he would cut me off and bring up something off topic to get me off focus. It seemed to me that he might have been selling our condo to a friend or relative because it felt like he was on that person's side instead of working for both of us. When it came time to find our new house, he said we needed to narrow it down and look in one city or area. When the market doesn't have very many houses on it, common sense says you're not going to go to Mission Viejo and only look at three houses. You're going to expand and go to surrounding cities and look at other things; you'll look at some old ones, some new ones. It was just his way or no way and I'm stubborn and I don't let people change my mind if I've made a decision. I'll listen to their opinion but it's still ultimately my decision about where I want to live. I had to explain to him that I understood he has expertise and that he was trying to offer guidance but that my husband and I had decided we wanted to live and continue looking in one of these three cities. He said he was just trying to educate me and that I was not very educated. I felt like I had to listen and just had to take it because I had signed the contract. I got to the point where I asked him multiples times not to call me and just communicate by email but he would still call me. One time he called and told me that his client needed five more days to sign the contingency on our home. I asked why, which I thought was a normal question, since the buyer was supposed to sign the month prior and kept extending it. He said he didn't have time for me to badger him. If I wanted to say no, just say no. I was at work and had to hang up on him because I couldn't get into an argument with him over the phone. Finally when it ended, he was telling me that I don't understand anything, that I misunderstood everything, he was never rude and I must just be a negative person.
