Paul (the repair technician) arrived as indicated from his text, was curteous and professional and proceeded to examine my fridge. After a short inspection, Paul recommended my options. I felt he was thorough and honest which allowed me to decide how best to resolve my problem. He also gave me recommendations for other affordable, quality units should I elect to replace my fridge. I would recommend Paul and MD Tech for their professionalism, communication and dependability. You don't find all of these qualities in the repair industry these days.

+ -1 moreOverall, it was good that MDTech was able to get the part to fix my refrigerator quickly. Replacing the fan seems to have fixed the refrigerator and freezer as they continue to drop in temperature since the replacement was made yesterday. I will continue to keep an eye on the temperature over the next few days to make sure it stays cool. However, during the repair, the technician asked where the electrical panel was. I thought he was just going to turn off the breaker for the kitchen, but instead he turned off power to the whole house without any warning. This was a big issue, as my desktop computer was on, and so it was abruptly shut down. It took multiple hours and troubleshooting to get it to boot again, and I am still concerned that it may have damaged the machine. When power is turned off, the technician needs to clearly and proactively communicate that power is being turned off and to where and give the resident the opportunity to properly turn anything off that could be hurt by an abrupt power cutoff.

+ -1 moreThe good; Tech was on time and polite. The bad; Tech ran dishwasher, which as expected did drain. Tech IMMEDIATELY diagnosed it as "pump needs replacement," without checking air gap or other possible charges, and gave me an estimate for about $300. As a result of this, my landlord decided to replace the dishwasher, which took a week. When installed, that one worked one time, and then ALSO did not drain. When a NEW new diswasher was installed, I talked to the installation tech (NOT from MDTECH) and he decided to check the air gap, which was 1) not working properly and 2) an INCREDIBLY easy fix. So, because MDTECH was so interested in selling more repair services than needed, they did not properly diagnose the problem, and as a result we were without a dishwasher for over two weeks and my rent will probably go up due to the cost of the new diswasher.
