+ -1 moreThe Marina repairman, Alex, diagnosed the noisy fan as a common problem with Ducane heating systems such as ours. His fix was not to mechanically adjust or perhaps replace a worn assembly but to simply manually bend the fan motor mountings into a new (hopefully better) alignment. This might have been acceptable had the fix been permanent but within 12 hours the problem returned. I called three times within three days to invoke the written repair warranty as stated on their receipt and left messages to have Alex return to try a new solution but so far my calls have been ignored. Marina's website professes that "Your 100% satisfaction is our goal" and that a "promise of professional service with the highest standards of knowledge and performance" is their ethic. Their website is BS. Their warranty is BS. This company's service is BS. Beware of and avoid this company.

+ -1 moreHorrible - we now seem to be stuck with an a/c unit that wakes up the whole neighborhood when turned on and a company that refuses to admit they caused the problem. The lack of professional customer service and resolve to fix the problem is also concerning. Beware!
Description of Work: Horrible company with worse customer service. They were sent by home warranty company and came out to fix a broken A/C. After fixing it, the unit started making a horribly loud sound. They came out again and said it wasn't their problem and they couldn't fix it. They have no customer service and the man on the phone was extremely rude and said they would not come out to look at it again. I'm surprised they have companies like this still in existence! Be ware and ask your home warranty company to send another company.

+ -1 moreThe service technician came out on Saturday to look at our unit and was ready to install a new unit by Tuesday. Everything went as planned. Price was reasonable. Very efficient. Would highly recommend their service.
Description of Work: Our AC compressor was not functioning properly due to its age (23 years old). The service technician recommended that we install a new unit vs repairing the compressor only, which would save us a lot of problems in the long run.

+ 0 moreIt went REALLY well. I cannot tell you how much it means to have contractors show up as scheduled and give you an honest assessment. They gave me a couple of options and even though I was leaning towards the more expensive option the owner told me he did not think it was worth the money. They showed up when they said they would, did a great job and charged a very fair price. Highly recommend to Angies List users !!
Description of Work: An air conditioner in a wine cell died on me. They came out and diagnosed the problem, ordered replacement parts and repaired it.

He advised me how to inexpensively bring my aging better efficiency and extended life rather than advising me to replace them. He It is SO RARE to find a company who will work with you, and your schedule to save you thousands of dollars. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marina HVAC. They are GREAT!
Description of Work: Marina HVAC did a tremendous amount of work on my home's 2 air conditioning units. My home is built on a hillside. Marina HVAC evacuated the coolant from both systems, moved the outdoor coil units (they are huge and inconveniently located) from their original pads which had disintegrated due to being poorly leveled and placed on unstable ground so that I could have my handyman level the ground and put in stabilizing retaining walls so the units would be level and stable. Marina removed the internal evaporator coils on my downstairs unit to clean the mold that had formed inside. Once the exterior pads had been made stable and level they returned and reinstalled the units with inline filters. Both units work better than they ever have. This company worked very hard over a period of two separate days at my house. They scheduled weekend appointments so I could easily be there during the work. They helped me get everything coordinated with my handyman. WOW are these guys GREAT!
