The whole process was very painless, except for the unexpected cost.

We hired Kalka Heating & Air Conditioning to do the furnace and air conditioner maintenance check. The technician (Adams) was prompt and courteous. He quickly found our old furnace has a crack on inducer blower motor, also found there were probable leaks on heat exchanger as well. He helped shut down our furnace after confirming the potential gas leaking risk with his boss. Also he checked the A/C freon level, efficiency of the capacitor and even the air duct conditions at attic. It took him about 2 hours to complete the whole check, which we think is very thorough. Since the furnace and a/c is 20 years old, he suggested replacing the whole system. However, the quote of replacement is expensive. $8000-9000 for whole 4 ton system, or $2800 for furnace only. We ended up with finding a better deal from another contractor

Was a Angie's list promo so bought a couple to have Kalka HVAC to have a inspection since I haven't had anyone in for 5-6 years. The tech arrived on time - was clean and professional. Everything checked out OK, feon was low so added some to the system - that was maybe 400+ of the bill. He suggested a couple other add ons and explained how they would benefit me. I passed on them for today but I appreaciated him explaining the situation. Would use them again!

Repair person came around 8 and looked at furnace. Wires were not properly connected so rep reconnected. Fan was not working and when he connected it, it was pretty loud based on it being covered by a metal cover. No recommendation was made on how to make it quieter. Issue with AC and termostat was discovered after a couple of hours and he replaced termostat. Finished job around 11

Overall the appointment went very well. He arrived on time, left the area clean and in order. Cleaned the filters and repaired a duct leak.

Ryan came to my door, introduced himself, shook my hand, put paper booties over his shoes (routine he said) and got to work. He was efficient, very tidy, explained everything he would do. He spoke with me about the results of his inspection and service, then explained the company's maintenance plans and was finished. He was very congenial and I was very happy with his work. I will recommend Kalka Heating and A/C to my friends. :)

Technician arrived on time, went about job quickly, discussed results in detail, (gving me items to watch for in the future, ) and left without trying to persuade me to do any repairs at this time. An excellent experience!

I called, made an appointment, technician arrived on time, and installed new unit. Overall a great and easy experience. Technician was very helpful in explaining how to set and adjust the new thermostat. 29800 arroyo

arrived on time and gave an estimate of cost for installing a new water heater and removing the old one. the price was WAY out of line from the other estimates i had gotten. when i mentioned this to the service man he indicated that there would be other maintenance things the company would do to insure the functioning of the heater. however, i did not use this company because i was able to obtain the very same water tank with instillation for 1/2 the price quoted by this company.

The company let me schedule a Saturday which allowed me not to take a day off work. The service person was on-time and very professional. Through the routine service he did, a problem was found (not a really serious one) and I asked if he could take care of it. He did the repair right then, saving me a second service call. I'm very happy with the service and I recommend the company.

Everything went well, the technicians serviced and changed the filter. Advised on things to keep an eye out for wear and the symptoms. I really appreciated letting me know what to look out for.

They are okay, but they are not excellent. They replaced a tubing and valve per my request. They charged $206.00 for the parts. Other than that, they did a reasonably good job at tuning up the system and on the price of the filter. I told them about the additional work, but I was not given a price prior to the job. I felt their price was high for the little piece.

Adam was on time and very courteous. He did a great job. He was efficient and helpful. We knowledgable and was honest about what I needed to do. I would absoultely recoomend Kalka to friends and family!

He arrived right on time and went right to work. First he checked the AC out of doors and then put booties on for the inside work. He was very thorough.

They said the AC too old and it could not be tuned up. They also flushed the water heater, pointed out it had a lot of dust. They suggested that I replace it, and would not clean it out. I had to call them back twice because they forgot to turn my water back on and caused a leak.

Good. I do have concerns that the capacitor was not really bad and I probably paid too much ($297) for the replacement.

Adam arrived on schedule and performed a very thorough service and checkup on my aging furnace. He recommended needed repairs. Adam was very professional and very thorough.

They were very professional and did a great job. However, I didn't see the $39.00 rebate that they promised. When I phoned to ask about this, they said the rebate had been factored into the price but had not been listed on the bill specifically. They also weren't able to put the furnace back together after they had taken it apart for the inspection which I found disconcerting.

Kalka was very responsive to questions and problems, and it did a great job.
