 + -1 moreLee, the owner, was very accomodating in terms of day and time to fit my needs. He and his helper arrived promptly at the agreed time, offered foot coverings and made sure that the flooring and furniture were well protected during removal of the 300 lb TV. He duscussed the green disposal policies of his company including possible donation, licensed e-waste disposal, etc to assure minimal environmental impact. They both were courteous and professional, did the job for the previously agreed upon price and accepted cash, check or credit card. We would gladly use them again and refer them to others.

Description of Work: We are moving out of our houseto a smaller place after 30 years. Several very large items needed to be discarded. I found Junk King of Orange county on Angie's List and purchased a Big Deal coupon for $79 to have Junk King haul some of it away for us. Lee and Justin arrived with their truck, right on time and cheerfully and efficiently removed a massive dresser, a humogous coffee table, and a rowing machine that had to be lowered out of the attic. When they were done with those 3items, theyasked if there was anything else I wanted moved. I showed them an old computer desk and they proceeded to clear the desk off and load it into their truck as well. They were professional and extremely helpful. I would use the service again and recommend it to anyone who needs help clearing out unwanted items.

 + -1 moreJunk King personnel arrived early, began loading all the stuff immediately and I didn't have to lift a finger except to tell them what to take versus what not to take. You don't have to move anything or arrange prior to them coming. They will go through the garage, the back yard, whereever the stuff is and they load it without you needing to do a thing. I can't believe how easy this was to clean up my yard and garage. They also informed me that practically everything they pick up gets recycled some way and that made me feel good as well. They even insisted on sweeping up the garage and driveway when all the loading was done. I even got a $25 gift certificate for the next time I use then. These guys worked quickly and efficiently. I have already told my friends and neighbors. I will definitely call them again and to think all this cost me was $79! I rate them A+. I am very happy I joined Angie's list because everytime I use someone on her list I am completely satisfied. You all deserve a big thanks and I wish you all a Happy New Year as well.
Description of Work: I saw the special on Angie's list for hauling away practically anything for only $79.00. I didn't really believe it but these guys came out to the house, were actually about 15 minutes early and then proceeded to load the truck. I got rid of a large BBQ, old sewing machines, chairs and a whole lot more. They loaded everything; I didn't have to lift a finger other than to point at what I wanted them to take versus what to leave. There were 2 guys and they began working immediately and were actually done in less then 25 minutes from start to finsih. They were friendly and gave me a gift certificate for $25 for the next time I call. I recommend them highly and I have already shared this with my friends.

 + -1 moreIt should be noted that my load consisted of a large amount of dense, heavy construction debris: long 2x4s, drywall, acoustic ceiling tile, 12' lengths of wire shelving, a broken garage door opener (still in a 10' long single piece), etc., and they loaded it all up quickly and easily. The entire experience from beginning to end was extraordinarily pleasant. They even made small talk with my 4 year old daughter, who was having fun watching them do their thing. I'm a big fan of supporting small, local businesses, and for others that share that sentiment, you should really give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: Lee, the owner of the company arrived at my home with one assistant early in my two hour window after calling 20 minutes out to let me know he was on his way, which was exactly the processed described to me when I set up the appointment. I used the Angie's List Big Deal for $79 for 1/8 truck load, knowing that my haul was significantly more than that, and was fully expecting to pay more. Upon arrival in his new, clean, red truck, Lee inspected my load and let me know that although it was probably closer to a 1/4 load, he would only charge me for 1/6. The upcharge was $60, which was the incremental price from his normal 1/8 load price of $159, not my deal price of $79, which was a very nice surprise. The two guys immediately went to work loading the truck. To be honest, it took most of the rest of the truck's capacity to fill, but Lee noted that they weren't trying very hard to conserve space, since they had to dump the load after my pickup anyway. Their next stop required an empty truck. They worked extremely fast and even sweeped up my garage afterwards, leaving it spotless. Lee noted that this is standard service, which I thought was extremely awesome. They were very pleasant to deal with. They also noted that I was their first Angie's List Big Deal customer, so I was their beta-tester of their paperless billing and receipt system. He rang me up on his Android smartphone, and within minutes the sales and work order receipt was in my email Inbox. These guys were the epitome of professional in a rather unprofessional business. I highly recommend that you jump on their Big Deal if it is still available, and even if it not, I still highly recommend them for any garbage hauling needs you may have.

I happened to see a mail flyer for Junk King in Irvine, California, so I gave them a call, and how lucky I felt to have stumbled upon them. I made an appointment, they were able to come out right when I need them, and they were great about confirming the time and letting me know when they were on their way. The team was very professional and had a designated supervisor, and they loaded up the material and took it away. I would definitely use them again, and I would be pleased to recommend to others in need of such services.
Description of Work: The guys from Junk King came to a house I had just purchased to haul away an old microwave, range and various other small items. I appreciated that they try and recycle everything they can, too. I would not hesitate to call them again if I have to get rid of stuff.

 + -1 moreI contacted them through their website, and it was incredibly easy to set up an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate on the job. I really appreciated that I could not only set up an appointment online, but that I had the option to simply get an estimate--other removal services that I got quotes from did not make it that easy. I got an confirmation email back quickly, so I didn't have to wonder if they received my request. Their availability and time windows were very convenient, and I was able to get someone to come out within two days at a time that was the most convenient for me. On the day of the appointment, I received a call from Lee (who turns out to be the owner) right at the beginning of the time window. Lee told me that they were headed over to my home, and they were there within minutes. Lee introduced himself and the other two men that were with him, and all three were friendly and professional. Lee looked at the job, quoted me a price that was nearly half that of the other quote that I got, and without making me feel pressured let me know that they could do the job today if I would like. They worked quickly and throughly and were gone within 30 minutes. This might be the most positive service experience I have ever had!
