Joe Joe's Lock and Key

Called twice, left voice mail. He never called back. Enemy a courtesy call that he is too busy would have been fine. If reason was an family emergency, my apologies.

Just fine. Work done quickly. Plus, what a nice young man.

My 7 year old accidentally locked the bathroom door on her way out. Normally, I am able to open the locked doors in our house pretty easily. But this one gave me a hard time. I tried every YouTube video I could find, but no luck. I called Joe and he tried to troubleshoot it over the phone, but eventually realized he would need to come out. He was at our house within the hour. He was professional, on time and had that door open in under two minutes. Couldn't ask for better service.

I have used them twice. They are very responsive, price is reasonable and I will highly recommend them.

They are excellent. It was a good price. It was fair. I would use them again. It took them 45 mins or maybe an hour for the door lock to change. There was the only worker, and he was polite, personable, and knowledgeable. The area was very clean.

Joe was able to come out the same day and provided excellent service.

Joe is pleasant to work with, on the phone and in person. He showed up when expected. He notified me when he was on his way. He got the job done quickly and even charged me a little less than originally quoted.

Joe was able to respond quickly to my "urgent" call as I had not had a lock or any hardware on my door for over a day. He arrived early and went straight to work. Some of the materials I had purchased were missing a part or two or didn't fit correctly and he took the time to trouble shoot the problems and solve the issues. He even ran out to the hardware store to purchase something that was missing from one of the packages so that he could finish the job up. I highly recommend his services and really appreciated his work ethic and commitment to complete the job. I have even added him to my preferred vendors list for my company so that we will use him commercially as well in the future.

Joe did a terrific job!! It required 2 visits and much patience. One of the most common complaints I ran across when researching locksmiths was pricing, Time and again I would read about how the actual price charged "at the door" was much higher than what had been quoted. Now I fully understand how once into a job the locksmith might run into a complication not anticipated ... raising the price. This absolutely was the case with my job. But Joe was extremely professional, and fully explained the issues. The final price was not only reasonable ... it was actually surprisingly generous! I only have one complaint with Joe. He is just too darn nice!! My wife and I will not only use him again ... but recommend him to everyone we know. He is professional, punctual, and communicates well ... he is the very best!

We have a community mailbox box on our street where my mailbox lock became stuck. Called the HOA - they said it's not their responsibility. Called USPS - also not their responsibility. Called Joe Joe, he came the next day, drilled the lock, put in a new one, bam, new keys, new lock, done. He was quick and punctual. This is the second time he's helped us. He helped us put new locks for the house when we moved in 2 years ago. I mentioned I found him on Angies List and he took $10 off. The whole thing was $75 for 15 minutes. This could seem expensive, but given that he got here quickly and solved my problem, I value my time and sanity way more.

The tech fixed the issues very quickly. I was very impressed with his work. He was very prompt and at my home in less than 2 hours. He immediately located the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. He was very good.

The owner was prompt, professional and efficient. My call was answered immediately and he was able to accommodate my request to rekey my locks as soon as possible. He took the time to explain how the new keys worked, waited until I had an opportunity to test all the keys and copies. He was very personable and did not make you feel rushed. I asked about other security systems that he could install including WIFI TV systems and he gave me some recommendations based on my needs and budget. Overall an excellent experience.

Joe knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. He redrilled the door plate to adjust the bolt slot so that the deadbolt would fit. He cleaned and lubricated another deadbolt that was sticking. He tightened up two door handles because he noticed they were loose -- he did the latter even though I didn't notice they were loose, and he didn't charge any extra to do this. I think this is representative of his attention to detail and his high degree of customer service. Joe was very responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, and very cheerful and professional! I will definitely call Joe Joe's for my next locksmith needs.

He was marvelous. He was very honest and genuine. He really understood what we wanted. There was a service fee for coming out but there was no other charges as the project was not do-able.

Fifteen minutes into my daddy-daughter weekend, I locked myself out my house with my one year old daughter in my arms. I called Joe Joe's service and he came quickly to my house. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the lock. Given that I was clearly overwhelmed with my baby, he offered to drive to Home Depot and get the replacement for me. Finding Joe Joe's has redeemed my faith in Angie's List. With the economy/construction booming again in this area, recent calls to highly reviewed handymen, general contractors, and painting contractors had ALL been disappointments -- e.g., did not respond, or did not return a quote, or not interested in anything that was not a big job or was difficult). But, yesterday the door lockset would not operate, and turned to Angie's list for lack of a better idea. Looked at the recommendations ranked by distance and Joe Joe's Lock and Key leapt off the page. Everyone else had 1 or 2 recommendations, while Joe had 15 glowing ones. Called him and he was here within 1 1/2 hours (between two other calls). He recognized the type/model of lock immediately and knew it was a tricky one, and just how to handle it. He took care of two other problems while he was here for minimal cost. He is knowledgeable, professional, and very likable. His prices are more than reasonable, and he guarantees his work for a year. Great resource!

He responded to my call within an hour, saw what the problem was (broken locking mechanism), offered several options to repair and replace, ordered new lock (75% of the total cost due to special requirement for a commercial door) as we requested, and installed it the next day. Very quick response, very fair service call and repair fee, professionally done - he knows his business.

Not long after moving into a new house, we managed to lock ourselves out after going to the store one Sunday afternoon. Of course it was a Sunday afternoon, when I thought it would be impossible to get someone out to help. I found the listing for Joe Joe's on my phone and gave him a call. He was on the road at the time and came right over, in about 15 minutes. He got us into the house in short order and then came back a few days later to swap out all the external locks after we purchased them. He was a real lifesaver when we needed him.

I locked myself out of my home as I lost my keys while jogging around the neighborhood. I called Joe after looking up reviews on Angie's list. He answered my call and arrived to my home within 10minutes like he said he would. I was back in my home in no time at all. I was very pleased with the service and the price.

Great experience from st I purchased a home in Laguna Beach with 9'tall moving glass doors with thumb turn locks on the bottoms. They were too hard for me to tun, so I called JoeJoe to replace the locks with someting easier. He researched the product, went to a couple of suppliers, and found that new locks would have been extremely expensive. Rather than having me pay the extra money, he bought cheaper locks and brought his tool to modify them at my home to fit perfectly. I was so happy I offerred to pay him extra, but he wouldn't take it. He is extremely honest and goes the extra mile for his customers. Definitely use him!art to finish.
