J & M Painting

So my home warranty company selected J&M to patch holes left by the plumbers before them. It took 2 weeks from when the plumbing job was completed to hear from the drywall contractor. They called on Wednesday to say that they would come Friday, and would give me an ETA for Friday on Thursday afternoon. I arranged to take Friday off from work not knowing what time I'd have to be available. Thursday came and went with no phone call. I attempted to contact J&M twice Thursday night and left messages but never got a hold of anyone. Friday morning I call again to get my ETA, and finally I get a hold of someone who says they will be here from 10:30-11:30. I sit around til 2:00 and still no show, so I give them a call and get told they had two customers with the same first name as mine, and they completed the work for one of them and didn't complete the work for me. Yes the guy basically told me he FORGOT about me because two customers had the same first name. After this fiasco I called the home warranty company to get a different contractor because of the total lack of communication with J&M, and to avoid another no-show situation. The warranty company had to confirm that J&M failed to show up before they could select a different one. Apparently J&M told the home warranty company we had an appointment on Thursday that *I* failed to show up for. The nice woman at the home warranty company took my word for it after she relayed this information, and gave me a new contractor. GOOD RIDDANCE! If their communication and professionalism is anything like their work, I'm glad we didn't have any work performed by J&M!
