The owner, Ben Robinson, arrived as scheduled to inspect the job and submitted a very competitive estimate. His workers arrived each morning on time and completed their work in a timely, clean, and effective manner. I was very pleased with the finished product.

Crew was on time each day and did an excellent job. Really payed attention to details.

The owner, Ben, was on time and had the estimate done with more detail than I couldve imagined in a reasonable amount of time. He brought up a lot of things I would never have thought of but Im not a painter so it was very much appreciated. The rest of the prep work and painting went like clockwork. My wife and I both agreed they are a well oiled machine. Our neighbors are jealous so there may be a few more home in our neighborhood being painted by Certa Pro soon!

The painters were very courteous, professional, and punctual. Since the roof fascia boards and soffits were to be spray painted they had to mask it all off with paper which took about a day and a half to do. But all the prep work was needed in order to allow them to spray the wood without having any over spray hitting my stucco walls or roof tiles. The stucco repair was expertly done and it blended in so well that it is impossible to tell where the repairs were done. They touched up every little bit of their work so well that when I performed my final inspection to sign-off on the job everything little fault I had seen had already been touched-up. I had several lower price quotes, but decided to go with CertaPro painters because they were very responsive to the many questions I had before the job got started. They also quoted 2-3 days of work which is what I thought it would take to do the job properly and not rush it thru as other quotes I had appeared to be doing. In the end it took 4-days to get everything painted correctly.

A crew of painters covered all of the furniture, cabinets, and floors. High ceilings were painted as well as walls and doors. The doors needed careful preparation as they had previously been painted with oil base. The crew sanded, primed and painted the doors. They are beautiful. The house looks great. The paint job is literally perfect. The people at CertaPro Irvine are professional, courteous, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. We are very happy and highly recommend these painters.

There were two different crews for the interior and exterior due to a delay in HOA approval of exterior colors. Both crews were very professional and I was quite impressed by the industriousness of the interior crew. They were all very experienced and it showed. Daily clean up was very good. The fascia wood repair outside was more extensive than I expected, but the result was quite satisfactory. There was one minor cleanup issue after the outside painting was completed, but it was taken care of to my satisfaction. I liked the thorough approach that Ben used for the estimate which avoided any surprises and gave me a high level of confidence. I did not go with the low bidder, and I am quite satisfied with the results. Good job Ben!

My house is 30+ years old and it definitely needed new paint. Ben was very professional and provided a detailed proposal and his license and insurance documents. His bid was very competitive. His crew of Arturo and Javier were excellent! They taped off all my windows before power washing the stucco and did a very good job of taking care of all areas of the property. They did a meticulous job of painting the stucco and trim to conform to my homeowner's association color selections. I am very pleased with CertaPro and would definitely recommend them.

They started on time everyday. They matched colors very well. They finished on time. They quoted a fair price, as I did get quotes from their competition. I would use them again.

Ben and his company painted the exterior of my house. They painted the entire exterior including the garage, shutters, stucco, wood and siding. They power washed, patched places where stucco needed to be patched, spot primed areas that needed to be primed and painted 2 coats. Victor was in charge of the daily work crew and he was punctual and professional at all times. Victor came in the morning at the time he said he would. We went over what the day's activities were going to be, and when him and his crew would be finished. They did exactly what they said they would do, arrived on time and left when they said they were going to leave. There some minor touch-ups that had to be performed, but after letting Ben know about the touch-ups, Victor came out immediately the next morning and completed the areas that needed to be worked on. Their price was competitive with other vendors that I talked to. It was an overall great experience.

We always collect 3 estimates before we contract out any home improvement job. In this instance we contacted 6 people, only 3 of whom showed up. Ben, from the beginning to the end, was responsive, all business but pleasant, on time and honest. He showed up to give us an estimate on time, his painters showed up on time, his billing was on time, his painters showed up every day on time and they concluded the job in the same amount of time as they had estimated. His price was reasonable, wasn't the lowest or the highest. We certainly would use their services again in the future and I would recommend him if a friend asked. It was a pleasure to work with him and his team.

Ben And his crew were great. Everyone on the crew was nice, worked hard, and kept the job site clean. We were indecisive on colors and both Bens were patient with us and helped us make last minute changes to our colors, which made the house look even better. The finished job looks awesome and our house looks like it is brand new. I would recommend Ben and CertaPro.

Flawless. From prep to final coat was four days with a crew of three. Ben the owner returned my request for a bid within the hour and beat out three other Angies listed painters by a significant amount. Arturo was the job foreman, a good communicator, professional and very patient; I had lots of questions. Our house was in bad need of prepping and painting and CertaPro did a thorough job. I wouldn't hesitate to give Ben and his crew a recommendation! My wife and I are very pleased with their work.

This experience was just terrible, and I had to fire this company before the job was completed. His $5000 bid was high, but I wanted a job I didn't have to worry about. The workmanship was so bad, my carpenter and two friends said it was the worst they had ever seen. I learned the hard way that prep work needs to be spelled out in the contract. Bottom line: he didn?t supervise his people, they had insufficient training, took shortcuts, and they lied to me. They painted kitchen trim, including crown molding, improperly using a too-wide sprayer, instead of a brush. There was no sanding, and not even TSP was used. They used a little deglosser on the old paint, but that was worse than useless. The new semi-gloss paint therefore didn?t adhere properly, and dripped down onto the drywall. But instead of wiping it away or rolling it while wet, the crew allowed at least one hundred drips to dry in place on the textured walls. Since the walls were to be painted with satin paint, there was no way the painters could undo the damage, and the errors would permanently show. Dried paint could easily be scraped away with a fingernail from the wood trim, because the paint didn?t adhere. Nail holes were left unpatched and switchplates and hardware were covered with overspray, in violation of the contract. I emailed the boss, Ben Robinson, and described some of the issues and asked nicely how he planned to fix the errors. He called and offered excuses, and would not answer my questions as to how exactly they would repair the work. (Later, he told me he had never been a painter, so he didn?t know how the work could be fixed.) So we agreed to meet at the house the next morning. He was very late. He then looked at the work, and said he was ?humiliated?, because he could see it was so bad. We then agreed 5 things: 1) the 3 rooms partially painted would be sanded, and the original paint sanded sufficiently so the new coat would stick; 2) no more painting could take place untilI I inspected the prep work; 3) switchplates would be masked, and nail holes filled; 4) the too-thin plastic on the floors, which was torn and allowing paint spots, would be replaced with thicker plastic, and 5) they would not start on any other rooms, until the first three were inspected and completed. That afternoon, I came home early and saw they had replaced the floor masking (but not removed the paint spots from the laminated wood floors and tile grout) and violated the other 4 agreements, and the crew leader was working on a new room. There was no way all that sanding could have been completed in those few hours, but the fellow claimed it had been done, before they covered it. So I said ?Show me the sandpaper.? He got the trash bag, and found maybe a 50th of the sandpaper that would have been required, and those few sheets had almost no paint in them. (I took pictures of everything.) They had painted again to cover up the lack of work. When I called Ben, he claimed that he had no time that day to check on his crew. He reported that he fired the crewleader (this was 3 weeks before Christmas.) Ben was arrogant and offered excuses. When he realized I was stopping all work, he switched his attitude completely; he offered apologies, and asked for another chance. He?d already had two chances. We agreed that we would walk away from the contract, and we would not pursue other options (legal actions) against each other. I therefore paid nothing for the work or 10 gallons of paint he offered to give me. I hired another painter, and had to pay extra to sand and retexture and repaint in those rooms. The new painter did a fantastic job, and I gave that other painter all A's.

Ben Robinson and his team did an outstanding job on my house. It was a complex job that included difficult-to-reach areas. They were dependable and did everything we requested. Their quote was competitive and the quality was excellent. The work was done quickly with no surprises. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone!

I scheduled estimates with three different companies. Ben came on time, walked through the house with me talking about options, was very professional, and gave me an estimate the same day. He was the only one of the three who called back to check in with me - indicating to me that he really wanted my business. His was also the only company that could start the work the next week. His price for the work was fair - slightly less than the bids from the other two companies. A supervisor and another painter worked in the house each day - it took longer than we anticipated but that was fine - I was more interested in quality than speed. The painters came every day on time, worked hard each day, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day. Ben called to check in when the job was finished and I told him that I was very satisfied with the work. The place looks fabulous - and I'm a really picky person. But I told him there was one small issue. One piece of furniture didn't get properly covered and a little paint got on the edge of it. It's not a big deal - it should be easy to touch up - and Ben apologized and immediately offered to pay for the repair. You can't expect much more than that. I'm a totally satisfied customer and would definitely use CertaPro again.

I received a very professional and fair bid from Ben Robinson who came to our house and took pictures which he included with the bid. Of all the bids I received, his was the most complete and professional. Ben also helped me in my final selection of colors. His professional attitude carried through to the workmen. The crew arrived on time and did a very thorough clean up every day. They paid attention to detail and went out of their way to make things perfect. I did a walk around every day and anything I wanted changed or touched up, they took care of immediately. The crew was very polite and courteous. I feel very fortunate to have found them. Ben Robinson was very personable and professional, and his bid provided an excellent level of detail to clearly outline the scope of work to be completed--no surprises. The painting foreman and crew arrived as scheduled each day, and Ben Robinson also arrived on the first day to make sure everything got off to a good start. After that, I just had to stay out of the way because the crew was very focused on completing the work in a professional and efficient manner. Each member of the crew was very respectful and demonstrated a high level of dedication and pride in the work they do. This was reflected in an excellent product which was completed one day earlier than I expected--a great benefit to give the surfaces adequate time to dry. A couple of areas for improvement would be protection of door weatherstrip and more careful application of wood stain. Thank you to CertaPro and their team for a great job,

I really appreciated how quick Ben was at returning my phone call and scheduling the painting work. He really great at working within our construction time frame and providing the necessary painters to get the work done. If I had to say the area that needed improving was the quality of the paint work. There was a lot of over spray that made a mess all over. I think he realized this and had one of his guys come out and do his best to clean up the mess. The cost of the job was also on the high side but I needed to get the work completely quickly. Overall I give him a C. The cost of the job was high and the quality was not so good but his responsiveness was great. However, I would probably use the services of another painter in the future.

Ben Robinson and his crew did a fantastic job. My wife and I were very pleased with their work. Ben really took the time to answer my questions up front, and I didn't feel any sales pressure to make a decision right away. Our home is about 2,400 square feet, and the job took 4 days including prep and cleanup (just as he estimated it would). I would definitely hire this company again.
