Mike sent over one of his crew. He got right to work. He quickly had tiles off a section of my roof below and around the chimney and was looking for where the leak was. He put down more tar paper and moved some metal plates around that are under the tile and then put the tiles all back on without breaking any tiles. I am very happy with the work that was done.

After obtaining a quote from a roofer for repair work for $200-$300, we called Above It All Roofing and spoke with Jay. Jay set a new bar for professionalism, courtesy, and customer service. In calling Jay for the first time, he was prompt, attentive, and responsive in his trip over. After showing him the loose roof tile, he offered to take a look at the remaining roof, too, as a courtesy to see if there was any other issues. To our pleasant surprise, he not only surveyed the roof, but also repaired several otehr concrete shingles that were also loose and as a courtesy, did not even charge us for his work done! We will definitely be using Jay again when the need arises, and have already referred him onward to our family and friends!

Sent an email requesting an estimate Thursday night and by Friday afternoon had an appointment set. Representative was very punctual and knowledgeable. After getting a couple more quotes we decided to go with this company and they began work the following Thursday and were finished by Friday afternoon, with the exception of a couple of problem areas with regards to the wood trim. All problems were promptly taken care of and the bit of trash which should have been cleaned up previously was taken care of the following Monday. While not everything was done perfectly the first time, all complaints were quickly taken care of. Very punctual and easy to work with. No high pressure sales tactics were employed which made it very comfortable.

Price was $7,800 and ended with $1,100 of dry-rot material R&R. (not that much in replacement needed, just fascia material). Had 5 quotes, 4 were from Angie's list, and 1 from an old quote, updated from last year. Base price matched 2 others. The kicker was a good relationship with Mike Allen and his flexibility to accommodate us doing a paint job on the outside of the house during the same time. The finished job met requirements. I down ticked for Quality, not based on finished job, but that it took a bit of work on my side to make sure that things got completed to my satisfaction. Example, an ill-fitting replacement tile was supposed to be "sufficient", but was clearly not a good fit. They did find a replacement tile of the same shape to fit down in the way it needed to. They also came back and changed out some tiles that had unsightly stain that couldn't be power-washed off. Some they swapped some tiles, since they were at the front of the house, and looks much less obvious. The workmen came on time, cleaned up well and worked exceptionally long days in hot weather. All-in-all I think I made a good choice and have a good relationship with Mike Allen, along with his warranty, to ensure I have a sound roofing job that will last me another 25 years.

I liked that they were very prompt in responding to our first email requesting estimates. I was impressed that, Mike, the owner came out and took a lot of time explaining in detail what the estimate entailed and what each portion of the estimate was. When they came out to do the work they were very prompt and they came out right on time with the appointment. They had a crew of very polite guys who came out to do the roof replacement. There were a couple of times when they could have cleaned up after themselves a little bit better, however they tried. I felt that they had a very good price, because some of the other companies that we got estimates from wanted quite a bit more. They were always right back to us when we emailed or called with a question or concern. I have been pleased with their service.

My initial call was returned promptly; the date & time we set to have someone come out and give us an estimate was set and the agent was there as promised. Repair crew was on time and cleaned up the work site before leaving.

Excellent. Removal and replacement took only 3 days. Removal took a day and the bulk of the replacement was done by the second day. Michael Allen was on the job daily. He brought a big crew so the job would go quickly. I am only reporting is now because I have just joined Angie's List. I have rarely been satisfied with any contractor, but Above It All and Michael Allen get high praise from me.

The initial estimate was for about $10940.00 however there was an additional fee for any extra lumber use so it would have been about $12000.00 in the end. The reason that I did not go with them was the price. I had a good overall experience with them. The gentleman who came out to do the bid was on time and he gave me a good bid. I was not as impressed with the paperwork that they brought. They use quality material for the work, but in the end it was the price that made me turn them down.

Dave was prompt in responding to my call and knowledgeble in what to look for and what repairs needed to be performed. All work was done in one day; crew was professional and curtious.

Their services are excellent. He came out and looked at the roof and explained everything. His proposal was cheaper than my other and guaranteed for a year.

Everything went well. Dave came out and did out estimate. He was very professional and prompt. He explained all of the materials that would be used and why we had the original problem. I obtained 4 estimates for this project. I didn't choose Above It All Roofing because it was the least expensive (though it turned out to be). I chose them because of their professionalism and because of how comfortable my husband and I both felt with Dave. The work was complete in one day. They were very tidy. It hasn't rained since -- but they did a water test on the roof and we didn't have a problem!

When Dave came out to give me an estimate he noticed that there was an additional issue that a previous company didn't notice. He was very professional and courteous showing me the problems with the roof and was good at explaining why certain things needed fixing. The only issue I had was that the guys that come to do the work were about 3 hours late(were told @11 and the showed up @2). Work was done quickly and so far things are looking great!

Above It All Roofing, Inc. was one of three roofing contractors that I selected from Angie's List and called for estimates. Mike Allen, the company owner, arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment, inquired about what I wanted done, inspected my roof and answered my questions. He showed me brochures of types of roofing and the suppliers with whom he worked, told me how long it would take to complete the work needed, when his company would be available to start the work, gave me written estimates for each of the types of roofing I was considering, and left with a smile and absolutely no pressure. This was all accomplished in about 20-30 minutes. When I made my decision a few weeks later he scheduled the work to fit my schedule and our city's street sweeping schedule. The workers arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and cleaned up each day before they left. The work was completed ahead of schedule. One section didn't look as I had envisioned it. When I mentioned it, the change was made immediately.

Work was completed within the promised time. There were a couple of areas that needed touch-up and Mike saw to it right away in the most professional way.

When we couldn't decide on the color roofing, Mike made arrangements to meet us and drive us throughout our neighborhood for actual visuals and it made our choice easier to determine. The actual start date was delayed a week, however, his work crew always showed up on time each of the four days it took to complete the job. Mike listened to our needs and was always helpful with suggestions with each project. Although not on site, he was always available by cell phone and his crew were friendly and most of all did a good job, cleaning up after themselves. It was confirmed when at the final visit by the city inspector, he said, "They know what they're doing!" After the job was done, inspected, and paid for we noticed that two of the three dormers were installed on the garage roof. Mike quickly had another installed on the main part of the roofing to our satisfaction.

They say it doesn't rain much in California, but if your roof leaks you can bet on record-breaking precipitation. We called Above It All Roofing Inc and couldn't be happier. Mike is professional, courteous, kind and generous. We are happy to pass his name along to anyone. From start to finish things went well. On time, within budget, courteous hard working roofers and zero mess left for us to deal with. He was always available to speak to if needed and quick to keep us informed as the job progressed. The whole process was made easy for us. We are happy customers.

I thought the test seemed dangerous. We ended up going to the contractors board. Nothing happened because I did not do the test, and so the mold could not be proved to be caused by the leak. I had to pay to have the roof repaired by another company and have somebody take care of the mold abatement.

Mike Allen was very responsive and called me back right away. We set up a time for an estimate and he called ahead to let me know he would be there on time. He estimated only the work that needed to be done and didn't suggest any unneeded work. Since the job wasn't urgent, we set up a time "sometime next week" to do the repairs. Due to some freakish weather that occurred in the next week, Mike couldn't make it out, but called to let me know that he would be there the following week. I really appreciate his responsiveness for such a small job and also driving some distance from Irvine to Anaheim to do the work. I would definitely recommend Above it All Roofing.

They were very friendly. They were professional about the job. They always showed up on time. They are sometimes hard to get hold of when you call them.

The job was started when promised and completed in 3 days, also as promised. While the roof has not yet experience any rain, the quality of workmanship appears to be excellent. Everyone (especially the owner, Mike) was easy to work with and the job site was cleaned up nicely, as the job progressed and at the end (which is important since re-roofing is a rather dirty process).

Need emergency re-roof due to leaks from recent rains. Service rep (David) was readily available when I needed him and both he and the boss (Michael) came our regularly to check on the crew, who arrived promptly every morning and did a great job. The also cleaned up well when they were finished - on schedule. Great guys! And thanks to Angie's List, too, for having so many good reports from this company.

I though they did an excellent job. The people showed up on time, and were done in under 4 hours. They were clean, and showed me everything that they did. They also walked on top of the entire roof to make sure there weren't any shingles that were lifting up. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofing work done. They even told me to call them back if the garage ever leaks again but they reassured me that I should never have that problem again.

I left a message and received a return call from the owner promptly. He said he would have someone come by for an estimate. I let him know that I had extra tiles for the house an since he was coming by, just to complete the work. His crew came by and completed the work. I appreciate how quickly he responded and was able to make the repairs before the rain.

Above it all roofing showed me an area on the roof that did not need to be replaced. They are a very honest company and the staff are very helpful. As a result of their advice I ended up saving a lot of money. They came out early every time and worked hard to get the job finished.

Since my job was not roofing, I contacted Michael Allen to ask if he could do shingle siding. He responded quickly, asked some additional questions and told me he would check to see if a siding job was doable. He called back when he said he would confirming they could do the job. Michael came to the house to give a cost estimate and schedule estimate. I was surprised how quickly he could schedule it - the next week. I wanted to get the job completed as quickly as possible so this was a great fit. Michael was very easy to work with, answering all my questions and providing recommendations. The crew was great. They arrived on time and did a great job on the shingles They cleaned up all materials when completed. When I need my roof replaced I will call Michael Allen. I would definitely recommend Above it All Roofing.
