I called Above It all after I discovered a couple leaks. I had already called two other roofing companies and both told me I needed a new tile roof. I was pleasantly surprised after Darren arrived and explained that I did not need a new roof rather a Tile reset that saved me thousands in expense. I signed the contract and to my surprise , they required no money down. Darren had all of Above It All insurances and documentation on hand and explained the entire process to me. He told me it would take three days and it did. My house looks amazing. Doing business with some ex military professionals while saving money made my year. I was given the task of collecting re-roof bids on a couple of buildings inside the refinery. I went on line and researched roofing contractors. Above It All Roofing has phenomenal reviews from several websites as well as Angie’s List. I knew we were in good hands. After our management team went through the bidding process we decided to contact the owner Mike about the complexities of the work, we wanted to make sure it could be done without any glitches. Due to the fact we are a heavy industry facility, we are required to adhere to OSHA’s rigorous safety guidelines. All contractors are required to have our Contractor Orientation completed by all people doing work in the refinery. Dave Brunn /Project Manager with Above It All Roofing was so easy to worth with regarding these guidelines. He made sure every roofer and sub-contractor who came in our facility during the roofing process adhered to the strict guidelines. The roofers and Dave even had to participate in our weekly Facility Evacuation/Tailgate Drill that was being conducted during the roofing job. Along with the specific safety requirements, all contractors are also required to carry $1,000,000.00 in Workers Comp Liability Insurance. Above It All Roofing was licensed, boned and insured. Initially these jobs were estimated to take 3-4 days, due to the extensive amount of dry rot on both buildings, the job ended up taking 6 days. Dave was there every day making sure the roofers were complying with our strict safety guidelines. Mike the owner came out to check on the job as well. The employees at the refinery were also commenting on how professional everyone was from Above It All Roofing. They were also thrilled that the roofers including Dave, would clean-up and sweep the areas every day. Typically we are left with the task of cleaning up after contractors. This was not the case with Above It All Roofing. After the job was completed, I had fellow co-workers ask for their business cards, so in the future Above It All Roofing could do their personal homes. If you are looking for a roofer who is honest, reliable, and goes above and beyond what is expected. I highly recommend Above It All Roofing. I called Above It All Roofing based on their excellent reviews on Angie’s List and Yelp. I was not let down. They showed up on time and cleaned up each day. Dave, our rep, was there daily to answer any questions or concerns we may have had. We are very happy with our new roof!! Thank you Dave and Above It All Roofing for an outstanding roof well done!! We will be recommending you to anyone looking for a Great company to take care of their roofing needs.

I called Above It All Roofing thru a neighbor’s recommendation. Dave came out and gave me a very competive written estimate explaining that I needed a tile reset. He explained that the tiles on my roof were in good condition and that I only needed to replaced the felt paper underlayment which will keep the roof watertight. After doing a little more research on this company I decided to go with them. We scheduled the roof work to be done in September. They did a speculator job and I could not be any happier!!

We failed to do our due diligence when interviewing this company for the repair to our roof and didn't find out until too late that ABOVE IT ALL ROOFING WAS NOT INSURED. A responsible roofing contractor should have liability insurance to protect his customers from damage caused by the roofers during repair or replacement. Never mind the details about what exactly happened. The owner will likely post a reply on this site denying any responsibilty. The reason for this review is to hopefully protect others from finding out the hard way that this company does not carry insurance to protect his customers. As stated, prior to signing a contract, we neglected to ask for proof of insurance coverage from Above It All Roofing. We just hired the company based on all the glowing Angie's List reviews. Long story short, not long after the work was done, damages were incurred and we had to file an claim with our insurance company. Per our insurance rep, she contacted the owner to discuss his liability and it was at this point that the owner acknowledged that he was not insured and added that it was cheaper in his experience, for him to pay off the claims than to pay the cost for insurance for the company. And in fact, almost one year later, that's exactly what the owner did. Once our claim escalated to the subrogation department, he reimbursed our insurance company for the cost of all the repairs SO BE WARNED. If you decide to go with this company, or any company, for that matter, DO NOT RELY ON GOOD REVIEWS NOR THE FACT THAT THE BUSINESS IS LISTED ON ANGIE'S LIST. ANGIE'S LIST DOES NOT VET THESE COMPANIES. ANGIE'S LIST USES AN 'HONOR SYSTEM' THAT ASSUMES THE BUSINESS OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR DECISION TO HIRE. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ASK TO SEE THE COMPANY'S PROOF OF WORKERS COMP AND LIABILITY INSURANCE. Update: This is actually a response to the company's owner reply to my original review dated 10/2/18. We don't want to go into any more back and forth "he said/she said" comments about an event no one outside the involved parties will ever be able to judge, just remember this: Make sure you search online for "6 Questions to Ask Roofing Contractors When Hiring" and get those questions answered before you sign on the dotted line.

There is only one place to call if you need to repair the roof and leaks in your ceiling and that is the Above It All Roofing, Inc. Ask for David Brunn specifically to come out and help diagnose your issues and he'll give you the best deal out here, (don't even waste your time there are a ton of losers out there some very rude and unprofessional who will charge double what these guys charge). David is a very honest stand up guy, one you can trust right away and he even helps diagnose other areas of your house that you may have issues with. He noticed that we have termites and a rotting issue as well. I would only call Above It All Roofing , Inc. and David in particular and I highly suggest you guys do too for all your roofing needs. Unless you want to pay double or more for inferior work and be talked down to like the competition does out there.

I have been using Above It All Roofing for many years to help resolve minor roofing issues as they popped up from the horrible job the builder’s roofers did. Finally decided that it is time to correct the problem rather than keep putting a “band-aid” on it. David was great to deal with, and Manuel and his crew were great. I had the original tiles re-set over new layers of felt paper and damaged wood replaced. Now I have a “new” roof installed properly – and they finished a day earlier than expected.

The replacement went exceptionally well. The workers were on time, and the job was completed in 3 days. The contractor did not start this job and work on another one at the same time. The workers cleaned up everyday. The manager Darren Harper was so down to earth and professional. He made sure that everything ran like clockwork. It was a real pleasure working with him and his staff. I would rehire the company in a snap. My roof looks beautiful. Darren gave me suggestions on what would look good. I'm glad I listened.

As a retired contractor I've dealt with a lot of subcontractors over the years and none has ever as responsive and helpful as Above It All Roofing. I dealt entirely with Darren Harper throughout the entire process and we were in constant communication on a daily basis. The job was scheduled started and completed as promised. Above it All Roofing helped us re-set the tile roof on our rental property in Irvine, while tenants were occupying the property. The price we paid was reasonable -- I feel like you should always be getting multiple bids for any job, but should look at the value provided by each company versus just the price alone. I would rather deal with a pleasant, responsive company for a higher price, rather than a company that is difficult to deal with or dodgy in communication. Dave was a pleasure to deal with, super responsive and easy to communicate with. It is always a challenge being remote because we don't actually get to see the work being done, or the completed product, and it is quite a hefty investment. Dave sent numerous pictures to keep us in the loop. He answered our questions usually within an hour, and gave us comfort that the job was in good hands. We communicated some of our concerns during the project, and those were addressed reasonably and quickly as well.

If you want your roof done right, use these guys. Above it All Roofing replaced our roof and they were awesome to work with. David was our contact throughout the process and we could not have asked for more. Very happy with our experience from beginning to end!

Dave assessed the situation over the phone using pictures I took from underneath the skylight. He came over the next day and quoted us a price for the replacement. Apparently the other skylight was also degraded (these were original ones ~30yrs old) so we replaced both. The job was completed a couple of days later. The total work took less than a couple of hours, and they did not generate noticeable debris. In addition, they inspected the roof and fixed a couple of slid tiles.

The results are noted above, Too bad there isn't an A+ rating.

Fine - haven't had any rain yet to test it but it seems like it should be fine.

Like most roofing jobs, you start with a quote which is to just do the roof. But there is almost always other damage- termites, dry rot, etc. So the price goes up to fix all the other issues uncovered once the old roof is removed. But Dave and AboveItAll Roofing did a great job and got everything done in time, even though the costs went up appreciably, almost 25% more, by the time the job was done. Still I am very happy that they were able to get it all done in time for thr solar contractor to start their work.

I would like to thank Dave, Manuel, & the entire crew for a job well done. They were professional, efficient, & delivered the job on time. No matter how many questions I had Dave took the time to explain & address my concerns - Thank you for my beautiful new roof!

From the beginning, David Brunn, representative for “Above It All Roofing”, showed up on time for our appointment. The project was completed in the time frame quoted. David was patient, clearly explaining what is involved in the project, what the client’s options are, including sharing pictures he had taken of the roof before, during and after as the project progressed. The crew that performed the physical portion of the project were hard working, courteous, doing an excellent job of clean up each day while having an open line of communication with David. David was on site at least once per day, fast to respond to any questions. The project was completed as promised. I would and already have recommended "Above It All Roofing" to friends, neighbors and contractors I am currently using for various projects in my home. Dave and the crew at Above it All Roofing did a great job. I needed to replace my roof quickly and they were the only company who would work with my schedule (out of over 10 different companies). Dave explained the roofing process, listened to my concerns and proactively recommended solutions to keep my home cooler during the summer months. The improvement is amazing. I wish I had called them sooner.

It went very well. They were upfront with the type of work needed, amount of work that was required, how much it was going to cost and when was the best time to get it done.

They were very efficiant and professional. The roof looks great. They cost a little more than others, but we feel it's worth it. We felt confident that the job would be done well, and it definitely was! David was our go to guy and he made sure we knew exactly what was going on every step of the way.
