We wanted to replace existing skylights. What we wanted was a bit complicated and he was very honest that he does not think they can do it. He gave us other company's contact information who might be able to do. Also, he gave me further suggestion if the other company can't do. Very professional and nice.

Dave came out and gave us an estimate on our approx 2000 sqft, partial 2 story house. He was prompt and professional. We scheduled the service for our convenience, but. he offered us an even earlier date! The team arrived on Monday morning promptly on time and began to remove our roof. Dave was here and made sure to answer all of our questions. The team worked quickly and cleanly. The roof was removed by noon and they began to replywood. The inspector came on Tuesday morning and signed off on the progress. By Tuesday afternoon we had shingles being installed. By Wednesday most of the house was done and they completed the job on Thursday. The team who worked was very clean and personable. They were friendly and helpful. They cleaned up after themselves. The company took care of all interfacing with the city for permitting and inspection and made sure that we as the homeowners understood every step of the process. They were wonderful and did a great job! Dave did the initial consultation, but didn't just close the deal and walk away. He had his finger on the pulse of the entire project. We knew he was busy but gave us the sense we were his most important client when he spoke to us!

Pat came over to quote out a small repair job. I needed the fascia board replace on one side of my roof. Unfortunately, the job was too small and they couldn't do it at a reasonable price. However he gave me some ideas of what I could do for alternatives that would cost less. He even talked to my handyman who happened to be there at the same time to share ideas. Can't speak to the quality of the work since I didn't end up using them, but I did feel he was honest and helpful.

When you think of the areas that are most concerning when hiring contractors, 3 come to my mind: 1) Honest and fair dealings in terms of price and services provided, 2) workmanship or quality and 3) punctuality and getting it completed within a given time. Above It All (specifically Jay G. who was our contact throughout) performs exceptionally in all three of these areas. Our home has both a flat and pitch roof that we were replacing before the flat roof could give us issues this winter. Above it all uses a newer technology product than the traditional hot mop. It's lighter, stronger, more energy efficient, and gives us a longer labor guarantee than the others we looked at. The price was slightly higher overall, but we felt it to be a good value for the extra warranty - especially on flat roofs. Once the contract was signed, the only delay was due to Huntington Beach's sometimes (always?) overzealous building and safety department adding a few additional requirements to getting the roof permit. Even with the additional requirement of an engineer cert, they only started 2 days later than initially projected. The guys got there early and stayed late...a novel concept for some in the construction business I realize, but it was appreciated. The tiles look great and they did a great job of job site clean-up both during and following the job. I suppose the true test will be the first big rain this year, but looking at the workmanship, it appears to be as good as we could have expected. Finally, they had several additional, significant, and unexpected expenses due to the new building codes that they ended up having to eat as they did honor the initial contract price. I am not sure how much they made on our house, but my guess is after the extra costs it wasn't too much. They were more interested in getting referrals from us, which I would gladly do given how painless the process was compared to how it could have been. A new roof isn't just a small project, but it felt that way with them. A great experience overall.

Scott explained that his company could not do the type of repair I was looking for, and that I should try to find a handyman that could do the type of repair I was looking for. I was looking to repair some external rafters' with dry rot. if I ever need to the type of repair that they could do I would call them again to give me a quote.

The job went well for the most part. The contractor found a third layer of shingles that had to be removed, at additional cost. People I've talked to said they should have seen the third layer when they were bidding the job. They showed up on time, worked very hard, were very pleasant to deal with. The job was done quickly, and additional eave boards were replaced, again at extra cost. Overall, I would rate this as a very positive experience. The work was done quickly and well. We've had some rain since the job was compelted, and everything seems to be watertight.

From the start, it was a pleasure to work with Above It All Roofing. I sent out a few messages to other Angie's List contractors to see about getting a new roof for my single level home and detached garage. I received a few bids, and decided to go with Above It All Roofing. The Project Manager, Scott Logan, was great to work with. He came out to do the original estimate. He was very professional, described the project, and answered all of the questions that I had. He provided me with a written estimate without any type of pressure sale tactics. He listened to the concerns that I wanted addressed, and was very easy to work with. After I received the written estimate from Scott, I decided to go with Above It All roofing. Prior to starting the job, Scott provided a brochure with the different types of roofing materials that we could choose from. We asked for two specific colors of materials, and Scott delivered them to our home the next day. He also provided the address of a couple of houses that were local so we could see the two colors that we had selected on an actual roof. The crew was a little late to show up on the first day of the job. Scott, however, was there early. He assured me that the crew would be there, and get the work that they needed to get done that day as to not delay the finish date of the project. The tear off crew arrived later in the day, and proceeded to pull off the existing roof, as well as the damaged boards that were revealed once the old roof was pulled off. This was not a surprise to me, as Scott pointed out during the estimate that they wouldn't know how bad the structure was under the roof until they pulled off the existing roof. Scott told me that while he wouldn't be there during the entire job each day of work, he would stop by to make sure that things were going to schedule, and address any concerns that I might have had. After each day of work, I would get an e-mail from Scott describing what the crew had accomplished, as well as how we were doing on the schedule. I was also able to go up on the roof each and every day during the work to see for myself how things were going. The work crew was pleasant to talk to, and they put up with me getting in their way so that I could see what they were doing on the roof. The job was completed on time, and on schedule. The roof came out great. I couldn't be happier. One of the reasons that I went with Above It All Roofing for this job was that they took care of all of the permits required by the city. They also scheduled all of the inspections that were required, so I didn't have to worry about any of that hassle. Another reason that I went with Above It All Roofing was their 10 year guarantee on labor. The roofing product that was installed has a lifetime guarantee, but the labor has a 10 year guarantee. Scott even assured me that if 15 years from now I have any trouble with the roof, they would come back and make things right, no questions asked. I would not hesitate to recommend Above It All Roofing. They did a great job from start to finish, and I have no complaints.

They were the most expensive of all the quotes I received, but they were the only ones who came when they said they would, detailed the work to be done and then arrived and completed it when they promised. It has rained and no sign of any leaks.

Dave Brunn was super fast in returning my call. I told him I was selling our home and needed to replace some cracked tiles identified during the inspection, so I didn't have much time to spare. He accommodated my schedule and had Rico and a helper on my roof within a few days. They were fast, efficient, and had everything wrapped up within a couple hours. They're not the cheapest guys out there....but who wants cheap when it comes to roof integrity? All in all, I felt they charged me fairly and I had my problems solved fast! They're also great guys. Dave and I had a lot in common and it turned out our new house is within a block of his. Funny how things happen that way......

Price was the best of 4 bids. Warrenty on labor and materials was the best of 4 bids. Work started and finished as promised schedule. Permits filed without issues. Adjusted final cost for damaged wood replacements as agreed in advance. The ONLY negative is that I found significantly more nails around the property than I expected, but they came back and took care of most of those with they returned to address the touch ups noticed in the final walk around inspection.

They were on time and the job went very well. Estimate matched the final invoice. They provided extra help by resubmitting the invoice with more detail so that we could be partially covered by our insurance company. The insurance company resisted coverage at first even after Jay from Above It All Roofing talked directly to them twice. They cooperated and followed through for us in our case with the insurance company.

I have used Above It All Roofing for 2 prior jobs: a roof tune-up and a roofing job. This time, I used them for gutter cleaning. Each time, they have done a great job. My project manager at Above It All Roofing Jay Gioia and his crew are always responsive, prompt, and do an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

David Brunn, the company contact, was there constantly and made sure things were done correctly and without leaving a daily mess. In a lifetime, how often does a person need to put a new roof on their home? All I know is if I need to use them again, I'd have no hesitation calling them. David and the Above It All Roofing workers were on time, professional, knew what needed to be done and got it done correctly. Their pricing wasn't the lowest, but reasonable. I believe they made up for a little difference in price by a big margine, my wife and I went about our normal daily routines without a concern that the house was getting a new roof. We're both very happy with how quick and professional the roof was done, how very nice the house looks, and who we chose to do the work.

They were prompt, did exactly what they said they would. We were undecided when to have they work done, they were extremely flexible and really worked with us to schedule the time. The crew was courteous and professional. They explained everything they were doing, showed what had to be done and where. I would highly recommend Above it All Roofing to anyone needed roofing work.

As far as replacing and rebuilding your roof, Above It All Roofing is an excellent choice. Not only were they the lowest quote of those that I asked for, their work and service was great. When they came for an estimate, it was prompt, thorough, hassle and pressure free (unlike some others who I couldn't seem to get out of my house!) They took measurements, showed me their samples so i could decide on color and type and that was it! They gave me the estimate on the spot. Had they not been the lowest bid, I probably would have picked them still (within reason...but being the lowest made it a no-brainer). After selection, communication was easy via phone or email. I had schedule issues due to my work and they were willing to work with me when the schedules changed. Turned out I need not have worried. After taking the first work day off of work to ensure things started smoothly, I returned to work the next day and let them do their thing. But you can tell a lot from when things do go wrong. One day, it seemed that in using their equipment, it caused a short on my garage's 120VAC. They listened and were quick to respond. They hired an electrician to come and fix the problem, but I found the issue before the electrician came and it turned out to be nothing. But the fact that they were ready to take care of their issues impressed me. So overall, very happy! My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) is that they are specialized in roofing only. I had to find separate contractors to do my gutters and skylight upgrades. Though they are ready with recommended contractors for such jobs if you need it. Again: A job well done.

Everything went very well, Scott was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and I will surely use this company again in the near future to do a complete roof repair. I'm beyond satisfied with the work.

This is a follow up review to my earlier feedback. I had a new roof put on and shortly thereafter, the first major storm hit Palm Springs and I sprung a leak in one of the bedrooms. Jay and his team came a couple days later to fix the repair. At the time, I was not happy. The water damage had ruined some of my bedding. Jay was very apologetic and offered to compensate me for the loss. I didn't have time to go back and forth discussing compensation-- I just wanted the roof fixed properly. And all is now well-- the roof has held up. We had major storms and there are no leaks. In addition, Mike has offered to guarantee the work for as long as I live here. I appreciate the company's customer service. As a result, I have revised my score to all "A's".

This was an exceptionally easy experience from bid through completion. The project manager, Jay Gioia, was very pleasant and easy to work with. He took as much time as we wanted to explain the process and make sure all details were covered. I am absolutely pleased with the quality of work, the materials, and the courtesy of the workers. The clean up during and upon completion of the job was outstanding.

Mike and Scott came to give us an estimate. We originally wanted to take out our old roof for new ones, but after inspection, Mike and Scott said our roof are still good and only ridge cap need to be replaced. So they advised us to do the roof tune up and should be good for another 6-8 years. Everything was explained to us very clearly. They are very professional, honest and detail, and they clean up after the job. Both are very nice people, Scott even helped us to do some handyman work inside the house!!! Will use them again for sure!!!! Strongly Recommend!! I already referred them to one of my friends!!

Jay showed up right on time and was very professional. Our rental property had a leak in the roof. Jay checked things out and determined that the likely issue was that nails were used to place the cap shingles (a no, no), so he suggested to replace the shingles, but said putting some sealant in the holes might be a good temporary solution (no guaranty) until then. He said his trip would be no charge and that I could easily do the job myself. Well, I don't like climbing ladders/roofs, so I asked if he could do it since he was already on the roof and I had sealant available at the time. He agreed and did about 10-15 minutes worth of work. The big reason I'm so happy with him and this company is that he felt bad about charging me for such a short job, so he said again that it would be no charge. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE??? Well, he did...and because of that I will most certainly use them exclusively going forward. Thank you!

They were AWESOME, AWESOME AND AWESOME. Michael came with Scott to see our roof to see what needed to be done and gave us the price. It was below what we thought it would be and very fair. They said they could be out in about 11 days. Scott and his two helpers( sorry I forgot their names) came today and were wonderful. They were done in about 2 hours. Our roof looks beautiful and Scott said anytime we needed him to come back, just call. We are going to tell all our family and friends. If you have a problem with your roof, give them a call.
