He has done many jobs for me over the years: unplugging drains, toilets and tubs to replacing piping under building.

He was nice over the phone and sounded professional. He told me he had no problem working in Topanga Canyon. The first time was no call no show. He scheduled me for the next day and showed. He showed up with a helper. I had a part that I had from a previous purchase that I offered to them to use thinking that if i already have the part I could save some money. They did the repair using that part. As soon as they left the whole thing fell apart. I called them and scheduled them to come out the next day to fix the mess. When he came he told me that the piece wasn't right for the job and was missing pieces. He said they had to try to fabricate parts to make it work and that the only reason he used it because he was forced by me to use it. He ended up making the repair and bringing the correct parts needed to correctly fix the sink. His work once done is ok, however it was a hassle to get the job completed satisfactorly.

Our sewer line has been having ongoing blockages for the last 3 years. We have had to snake it more and more often and they always find roots at about 60 feet. The plumber I had been using did not know about pipe lining technology, so I was referred to SM Bay Area Plumbing by a neighbor. I called them and they came out right away and looked at the situation and determined that I might or might not need pipe lining, which is quite expensive, depending on where the roots were. They ran a camera down the sewer line. Mike Ludescher came right away. He explained all the options and was very knowledgeable. The amazing thing was when it came time to pay. I had found a discount for Angie's List and had printed it out. I had not noticed that there was also a discount for the pipe video service. Mike pointed it out to me and gave me both discounts. He was honest and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone. He came back a second time because the first time the sewer was blocked, and so it had to be snaked again before the camera could go through. He only charged for one visit and not two.
