Andre is a prince and a gentleman and I would recommend him without reservation. The roots of our tree-strewn backyard had overrun our old clay pipe. We were running blades down the line every 3-6 months to clear backups. But we have a steep backyard, and tearing it up (including under a retaining wall) would have been cost prohibitive. The folks at TRIC Trenchless, which created the trenchless repipe technology, recommended Hydroman Rooter for a repipe. Andre did a fantastic job, including having to hand-dig an 8-foot hole at the city wye to join our house line to it. When he discovered that there also was a problem with my pipes joining the city wye, he helped me navigate City Hall bureaucracy to file a claim and get some of our money back. After that excellent experience, three years later I hired Andre to repipe under our house, where 50-year-old galvanized pipe had finally given up for good. I mean, it stank like a bus station restroom, the pipes were leaking so bad. Nasty. To go under the house meant Andre and his crew (including a Mr. Potter who is a wizened veteran Andre brings on some jobs) had to endure working on their bellies and backs for three days to rip out the old bathroom pipe and install the new. When he discovered that the old pipe had been put down with the foundation laid over it, Andre had to find a new route for the pipe, which he did elegantly, all within a narrow timeline when we were out of the house. Now our pipes are clean as a whistle. The only downside is his price. For the under-house work, a rival bid came in three grand less. But you get what you pay for, and I totally trust Andre. Top-notch work.
Description of Work: Two separate jobs, at $10,000 each: A trenchless repipe of house main waste line from foundation to city wye, down 160 feet of sloping backyard. A repipe of main waste lines from master bathroom and kitchen.

This job was supposed to take four days, but as they started to work, they found that the whole drain had to be replaced because it just kept falling apart. Andre did not charge me extra for a lot of the work he did. He could tell how upset I was when I saw the drain falling apart before my eyes. The house was built in 1936. So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. However, I am retired, and I hadn't anticipated such a large expense. The work was done in difficult circumstances because there was very little clearance under the house. They replanted the few plants they had to remove and left everything in pristine condition.
Description of Work: Replaced my whole drain system from the house to the sewer.
