We all know how hard it is to find good help - Felipe is a keeper. He's honest, hard working, punctual and doesn't cut corners. He has a deep knowledge base and what wasn't familiar to him he researched and discussed with me beforehand. He was meticulous in his detail work and communicated clearly and consistently. I would definitely hire him again.

He did an excellent job at a good price and did it quickly. I'd definitely call him again if needed.

Felipe first came and looked at the area needing repair. His thorough inspection led to his finding another area that also needed repair, which he showed me. He quoted a very reasonable price and explained the method and materials he would use to make the repairs. After discussing this with my father we scheduled the repairs. Felipe showed up promptly and set to work. He was there through the day and needed to return the next day to finish. On the second day, he and his assistant stayed until after dark to complete the task. He sent photos of the finished work. It looked incredibly good before he did the final sealing and painting. The finished work looked great. Now I won't worry about rain seeping in through those areas. He was very receptive to questions which helped me understand the process. It was a pleasure working with him and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

I do apologize for not writing sooner for Felipe's services. The guy was very busy but managed to work me in to his schedule. Felipe assessed what the issues were and was able to get a crew out to the house and take care of all the concerns. I will definitely will use Mr. Felipe's services again .Felipe was trustworthy ,had the crew out to take care of the issues at the house and followed up and kept me in the loop regarding the work being done.

Felipe and his crew did a great job. They were professional from start to finish. Through continuous productive communication, Felipe ensured that we were satisfied with all aspects of the job. I appreciated his attention to detail related to the installation and alignment of the new counter, the quality of the drywall work, and the beautiful tile work.

Felipe was prompt in getting back to me online, setting up an appointment to meet and in providing me with a detailed quote. He was prompt each day he was there and worked a full day. He was professional and knowledgeable and did a thorough job. In addition, he was very accommodating and fixed additional things that came up during the job that were not on the original quote. Felipe also gave me a lot of good advice for future projects. I would highly recommend Felipe to anyone looking for handyman services. I have been involved in several remodel projects over the years, and he was one of the most organized, thorough and knowledgeable people I have come across. He was a pleasure to work with!

Felipe e-mailed and said he wasn't available (I was looking for a rush job within a few days of my request on the website) but that he had another guy he works with (Chris) who might be available. Chris called me the next day and we worked out a time for him to come by the next morning. That was the last day I had to get the work done that I needed. He arrived at 9am and was out by 1:00 or so (maybe earlier). He was fast and efficient and had brought his father along with him to help, though I didn't find out that it was his father until he was leaving (he was really professional the whole time and had just said he had another person with him to get the job done quickly). I had was short by only several inches on the casing for all the spots that were needed, but he showed me how he could put it together with another short leftover piece and make it work, even if it didn't look perfect. (We needed this done fast and didn't care as much about appearance as just having it completed, but he showed me so I would know why there wasn't a full piece across the top of the closet opening, but instead 2 pieces put together.) We had and still have lots of projects in our home and one of them was installing vinyl flooring squares in the bathroom, which I had done maybe a third of (but only the easy ones down the middle of the room). He offered to finish it for me if I wanted, so when he was done with the casing and baseboards, I said I did want him to if possible still. He said okay but then didn't finish the whole thing. I had previously explained we were only putting them in temporarily and didn't actually want them there but were just doing it to have a floor (underneath is concrete slab) for so we could get our house appraised to refinance. I think that I didn't communicate real clearly but also I thought he was going to complete the job, but then left the parts around the edge of the wall and around the toilet bare. I got the feeling that he was just in a really big hurry to get to another job (since it was around lunchtime and he had worked really quickly, and had done our work for us as a last minute job in the first place. If I am right, I would have rather had him just tell me he didn't have time to finish and had another obligation. Overall though, the whole experience was great and we are just really thankful that he got the main stuff done that we needed for our inspection on such short notice.

The work was nearly flawless. Almost right away people were noticing the impressive job he was doing. I have used his service before, I highly recommend him.

Felipe was responsive to my inquiries and immediately came out to provide an inspection and estimate. His appearance was clean and well groomed, and his truck was a newer model. My overall first impression was that Felipe knew what he was doing and could be trusted. He immediately provided a written estimate and agreement. We signed and scheduled work for a time that was convenient for me. (I appreciate that Felipe as accommodating to my schedule.) He arrived at our pre-designated time, prepared and ready for work. All materials and tools were ready to go. Work was completed properly and very well done. He cleaned up his mess and left my place neat and tidy. I will be inviting Felipe back for many more jobs to come. Very happy that I found him.

He was very conscientious and was making sure that he got it right. So far, it's been very good.

It went AMAZINGLY WELL. We actually never got a second estimate - Felipe came over to do an initial estimate - we got him through the SnapFix App - and he was just really honest, had great communication, and we felt no need to get any additional estimates. I've had enough slimy contractors give me bids before - there was no need to go through that. Initially I just wanted Felipe to remove and reframe this window in the shower that the previous owners had drywalled over on the other side when they made an addition. While he was there, I started asking how much it would be for him to actually put up the tile, and the floor, and ended up just asking for a bit that itemized everything, and asked for his recommendation on what we could do ourselves to save some money and what he should probably just do. I've asked contractors that same question before, and usually they start telling me I don't know what I'm doing and start with the slimy sales pitch and scare tactics. But Felipe gave his professional opinion, was NOT condescending at all, he just explained what he thought and itemized everything for us. The job itself took 3 weeks, with 1-2 people here each day. The first few days we stayed home during the work, but after that we just gave Felipe a key and didn't worry a bit about our house. He kept us constantly updated about what was going on, what he was running into, and what the best solution was. We ended up having to reframe the bathroom floor (water damage?yay?) and redo the plumbing inside the wall as the fun surprises that pop up during a remodel, so our original price went up a bit, but not by anything catastrophic. His guys were amazing. Our screen door had a doorknob that was on upside down, so it didn't really click shut, and I guess it drove him nuts so he fixed it. They also helped us with some other things that we mentioned offhand while they were here. Overall, if you are looking for a guy who is honest and does an amazing job, who you can trust in your house and gives you a fair price, Felipe is your guy.

Felipe was very responsive. He gave me a fair quote and was able to make the repairs a few days later. I will make sure to call Felipe the next time I need a handyman.

The remarkably poor quality of work done by the contractor that the prior owner had hired to do the flip on out house had to be seen to be believed. It all started when we found our hardwood floors water damaged near our french doors after a few days of moderate rain in February. It turned out that the doors had been installed without proper water proof paper, no flashing and that the trim used was indoor rated lumber. We additionally became concerned about out windows when we noticed the molding outside warping away from the wood frame, and cracks appearing in the caulking across the tops on the inside, to the extent that we could see daylight. So much for our nice energy efficient seal, not to mention allowing bugs in. We figured that if the French doors had no flashing, it might be worth checking all the windows for waterproofing. When Felipe and his excellent team started demoing the windows they discovered a multitude of problems - *the contractors had actually used MDF (an indoor decorative wood product) as exterior molding, and in at least one case to support the weight of a window (it was a bathroom window and the MDF INSIDE the wall was soaked like a sponge.) * the windows were just set into the walls without proper sills to support the weight, with a piece of cheap pine (used throughout) tacked in front to make it appear that there was a sill - this is why the caulk was cracking, the whole units were sagging. * NO flashing, so all our windows were leaks waiting to happen. The only silver lining to the drought in CA is that we were able to repair our windows before the winter rains. In the case of the French Doors some odd flashing had been placed so that it acted like a funnel channeling rain water directly inside to the hardwood floor! * They had filled (with caulk) the engineered drain holes that are an important part of the aluminum windows. * In one case, we discovered huge gobs of caulking had been used to disguise 4 inch wide holes above a window, instead of properly filling it with the three layers of stucco needed - again it was a leak waiting to happen. Felipe and his team did a complete retrofit of 10 windows (those that had been put in by the flippers) and the french doors. The matched the stucco to the existing, used high quality cedar lumber, put in the proper flashing and paper, sanded and sealed then painted the new trim, neatened the external appearance of windows with stucco, and recaulked the interiors, over the course of 7 days. They started promptly at 8 each day, and left between 4.30 and 5pm, working efficiently. We did have to add more to the job, since the egregiously bad work was a greater surprise than expected, but luckily Felipe had allowed extra time before his next commitment, just in case of problems. We will be having Felipe back to do some tile work, and any other handyman work that we might need. My husband and I could not be happier with the work. We are so relieved to know that our windows and doors are now properly built. Bring on the El Niño!

Felipe is a busy man! It took a while for him to make it to my place. In fact, he mixed my appointment date up and left me hanging on our first scheduled meeting. When Felipe finally made it to my place, he was very nice and professional. He took his time, took measurements and really made an effort to understand exactly what needed to be done. He had promised to email me an estimate of all the costs over the weekend, but like I said before, Felipe is a busy man! I didn't receive the estimate until midway of the following week and by that time I'd already decided to go with another company. I'm sure Felipe does good work because he is in high demand which makes it difficult for him to manage his schedule at times. Though I didn't go with him for the work I needed, I would consider going with him in the future because I liked the professionalism he showed when he finally made it to my home for the estimate.

Felipe Handyman Services were on time. He was thorough and he did not overcharge me. He cleaned up really well and he was knowledgeable. He had to take down the wood and he cut it up and stacked it up so it could be picked up by the disposable company and he is really good.

I recently purchased a home with a bathroom according to both Realtors and the Inspection Report only required ?cosmetic repairs??WRONG!! I called Felipe specifically and solely for tile work; however, upon visual inspection, he knew immediately that I was in trouble ~WATER DAMAGE! Felipe was upfront and honest (unlike the Realtors and Inspector) and told me that there may be structural damage, how much and to what extent he wouldn?t know until removed the tile. Upon the removal of old tile, we both were shocked, severe structural damage requiring replacement of rotten support beams, wall studs and joists (which the previous owner removed and covered up)! Felipe also had to correct the previous owner?s bad installation of cooper piping, repair water damaged subfloor before he could perform the work I originally hired him to do! We also noticed that the water temperature was inconsistent (another missed item by the inspector)! Thanks to the handy work of the previous homeowner and no doubt hired help picked up from in front of the local building supply store ALL water supply lines were crossed?UNBELIEVABLE!! But it gets worst, somewhere under my 1930?s cement slab house with limited crawl space, the hot water and cold water supply lines were crossed. It was a grueling task but in about a week Felipe located the problem and corrected it. Felipe worked late into the night on New Year?s Eve, making sure I had water; he arrived home just minutes before the New Year came in. Wow! Felipe worked with my budget and agreed to work my project in phases because as it turned out this project was more than ?cosmetic?. He has completed the shower and what an improvement! The next phase involves the removal of old wall tile and installation of new tile around the tub (my tub and shower are separate) and painting the bathroom walls; after which, the final bathroom project is installing a new bathroom mosaic tile floor! Felipe (and his team) are always professional, updated me daily with progress reports, and cleaned the project area every evening. While he doesn?t do roofing and electrical; he does EVERYTHING else. I am so happy I found Felipe on Angie?s List!

I had two other estimates for this job but the fact that I had the ceramic picture made me question how they said they were going to work with that. Felipe was able to take the felt off the back of it and not damage it. The entire project took 3 1/2 days. My wall was not perfectly flat as is the case with most walls so the time it took to get all the tiles lined up right was tedious. I really wanted to make sure that I hired someone who knew what he was doing mainly because of the picture. Felipe knows his craft and is very meticulous about his work. He had a helper with him every day and I saw how much time it saved from start to finish. They prepped the area very well to protect the floor and furniture, and made sure to clean up every day before leaving. Because of the need for the grout and then the sealer to dry there was no way to lessen the time necessary to do the job. The senior community I live in does not allow work to be done after 5:00pm but Felipe would be here until then to get as much done as he could. There was approximately 44 sq. ft. of wall that was tiled. My neighbors stopped by and were very impressed, asking me for his name and number. Actually one of them is hiring him to do some outdoor tile installation. Felipe is very professional and easy to work with. What sets him apart is that he does not cut corners, he does it right. I always believe you get what you pay for so if you want quality work Felipe is your guy.

Work looks great and no more leaks!

Very professional--we found his listing on AL and contacted him and sent him the report we received from our termite inspection service--and we scheduled an appointment the following week for him to come over and see what exactly what needed to be done, so he could send us an estimate. We wanted to have everything taken care of because we're planning to put our house on the market sometime later this year and don't want to worry about the inspectors finding a lot of things wrong. We had already gotten an estimate from the termite inspection company (a subcontractor they use) and so we at least had an idea of what kind of money would be involved. He seemed very professional and conscientious, so we felt good about him, so when we got his estimate, we decided to hire him and get started. He sent us a contract that stipulated what he needed to be paid and when, and it seemed reasonable, so we signed it and scanned it and emailed it back to him and he started the following week. Part of the damage was in the attic directly above the master shower, so it involved removing tile from the ceiling of the shower and replacing it, but his crew was very good about cleaning up after themselves. Along the way he found some other areas that needed attention and had some good suggestions such as adding a trap door up to the loft in the garage. In certain cases, he took care of these without charging extra, and in others, the additional charges were nominal.

This was suppose to be a simple job, but turned out it was a major undertaking. Felipie showed us with photos all of the damage to the shower sub floors from years of leaking shower tiles and pan. This was a major undertaking and with his small crew was able to complete every task within three to four weeks. He repaired all the old support members and installed new supports all while under the house draw space. Later he installed a new floor pan for the shower and new wall support studs. That was capped off with new matching (close as possible) bath/shower tiles and coping. This was first task of a three part job. The second and third jobs consisted of re-gourting the entire kitchen counters and re-supporting the floors in both bathroom toilets. Felipe was prompt; courteous; professional; neat and provided a written estimate. The job was eventful and required more time and materials than originally provided for yet Felipe was determined to complete the job and brought extra help and materials and offered to return if I had any other issues. He got the job done and I was largely satisfied with his work ethic and pride taken in delivering quality service. I would highly recommend him.

Felipe was very professional and did a very conscientious job really cleaning out the old grout, which was as mess. He really had to spend time prepping the area and then filling in the grout, because it had over time, pretty much disintegrated. It was a nice clean job and looks really great. A vast improvement. Felipe did more that expected for the quoted price. He noticed that the metal circular pieces around the hot and cold water handles were loose and not sealed properly so he went ahead and grouted around those for us so water wouldn't get in behind. I had not asked him to do that. I am very happy with the work Felipe did and will definitely call him for other handy man type jobs.

Felipe responded very quickly to my request for a bid. By the next day, we received a written estimate detailing all the work to be done. His price was very good and I felt very comfortable with him immediately. Felipe provided a drawing for the custom wood trim work he proposed for our columns. I liked the drawing and his work was exactly as it was drawn. In the course of installing the columns, some of the bricks were dislodged from patio. Felipe carefully reattached them and they look good as new. The columns were embedded in concrete and had custom molding at the top and bottom. I am extremely happy with his work. The front door was a complicated installation. The door was prefinished and nothing was preassembled. The jam and molding were all separate pieces and it was installed in a 50 year old house with an opening too small for the new door. Because of this, the door took longer to install then he expected and was not without some "learning moments." What impressed me most with Felipe was how much I learned about him as a person in the midst of those moments. It was a difficult job and he stayed with it. His attention to detail and willingness to take the time to do it right is exactly what I want from someone working on and in my home. I'm not the easiest person to work for, I don't yell or get angry, but details matter to me. He added bricks below the door that didn't exist previously. It was his idea and it improved the final product significantly. The bricks had to be cut to fit and mortar was used. There were several shortcuts he could've taken but didn't. He didn't charge a penny more for it. His plaster work was done well and quickly. I will certainly use him again.
