Response from Felipe Handyman Services
[member name removed] called me for a quote & we set a time and date. I was delayed and called her ahead of time to inform her that I would be 30mns behind schedule. She was not happy. When I arrived I greeted her professionally and even asked her if she wants me to remove my shoes. She wanted a 1980 basin replaced and I gave her a quote. I recommended that she replace the counter top as it was manufactured and glued and that there was no guarantee that the counter top would not crack (as it is a cheap marble imitation.) She wanted some caulking around the tub and toilet but you have to strip the old caulking. I quoted her a fair price of $345.00 for labor and material. She said that she needs to make & had made other appointments for estimates and she would get back to me. Granted she never did get back to me. Price- I gave her a fair & honest estimate based on good material and good quality craftsman work. Responsiveness- I answered my phone and scheduled an appointment immediately. Quality- I did not perform any work for her so she has no grounds to evaluate. Punctuality- I informed her in advance that I would be 30 minutes delayed. Professionalism- I was very polite even to her barking dog. I greeted her and conducted myself very professional. I am disappointed in the fact that [member name removed] would grade me as a failure on a 30 minute visit without giving me the opportunity to demonstrate good craftsmanship, and based my estimate on a $20.00 difference. Instead I looked forward to her getting back to me as she stated, with an appreciation for my time and effort.
