Sanchos Landscape

CAUTION: This is not a company that we could ever recommend. Paul Sanchez doing business as Sanchos Landscape, was hired to do the landscaping at our new home in Palm Desert. We had a written contract with all prices for plants to include planting and warranty. We then purchased additional plants, at which time he unilaterally rewrote the original signed contract and unilaterally decided to raise the cost of all the plants, including those on the previously written contract. Several of the plants have died and as mentioned he wil not warranty them. Paid him nearly $16000 and now we have to hire another company to repair the damage he has done. With about 90% complete, Mr. Sanchez asked to be paid in full since he claimed that he needed the money. Being in my 80's, we reluctantly trusted him, and paid him the full amount of the original signed contract on March 30. He seemed pleased to receive the full amount in advance and promised that he would be back in two days to finish the remaining portion of the job. We haven't seen him since. He now states that he won't finish the job unless we pay him an additional $5000 to cover the higher prices that he decided to charge. At this time there are several plants that have died and he refuses to warranty those plants. It is now necessary to hire a new landscaper to finish the job and replace the dead plants. There is a legal definition for his actions but we will leave that to the reader. Useful Funny Cool

After starting a week after the promised start date, they failed to show up and were very late on multiple days. The work was very bad and needed to be redone. Many plants died and had to be replaced. After numerous calls and complaints and continuing failure to show up and finish the job long after the promised completion date, they were terminated and their response was to file a lawsuit in small claims court. At court, they lied about the facts including claiming they installed materials that were installed by the replacement landscaper, among other things.
