We have used Tom Byer before and used them again because of our positive experience the first time. We were not disappointed. Of the 3 estimates we received, one was based solely on a Google map view of our house, the second company came out and made an estimate without going on the roof to see what the issues were. Trent Byer, on the other hand, came with a truck and a ladder, climbed up on the roof, surveyed the condition and made recommendations that would suit us best and saved us money. The work crew was courteous, professional and got the job done. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with all the staff at Tom Byer Roofing from the estimate, to scheduling, repair and billing. Wonderful people. We would highly recommend them.

The crew who removed the old roof and replaced it were very professional and friendly. This team went above and beyond when it came to replacing "old" eaves, painting the new wood, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Excellent. Tom Byer Roofing replaced the chimney flashing on our residence. The inspection, quote, scheduling, billing, and paperwork were all "by the book." The workers were experienced and skilled. This is a totally professional contractor.

Final product looks great. Checked after rain, no puddling, excellent! They were sometimes slow to respond, also sheathing was not plywood. Very professional otherwise.

Byer Roofing was very professional in how they handled everything from the estimates to delivering invoice after completion. The team was very efficient and knew what they were doing. They cleaned the perimeter each day after they completed their workday. Brian was always available by cell phone. Would highly recommend them to others. The cost was covered by the insurance company. The tornado tore a branch off a tree and it knocked a hole in the roof.

I have used them about three or four times and I'm very happy with him. I got two or three estimates and his was right in line.

We had a pesky leak that I kept trying to fix myself, only to have it start leaking again within a year or two ruining part of the ceiling in our family room. We were referred to Byer Roofing through a friend. Brian came out on a Thursday in November to look at our roof. He was on time and professional during his inspection and let us know that they were swamped with orders from people wanting to get a jump on El Nino and if we decided to use Byer, they might not be able to get to our roof for a month or so. He told us what he thought needed to be done, and even how long he thought the rest of our roof should serve before needing attention (which was longer than I expected - yay!). He said he'd have an estimate for the work we wanted done by the weekend, Monday at the latest. The estimate arrived on Monday, and we contracted with him to do the work, expecting to wait for a month or so like he said. A couple weeks later, Brian called and said they'd had a cancellation and could do our repair that day. We said okay! His crew was there within the hour, finished the job before by the afternoon, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The bill matched the estimate--no upselling, no surprises. We got some rain around Christmas, then a real test soon after with a night of intense storm cells exactly like the kind that would've made our roof leak previously. Everything stayed nice and dry--no leaks whatsoever. We are happy customers, and recommend Tom Byer Roofing Service without hesitation!

The men arrived and notified me of their presence. They proceeded to complete the work while staying out of the way of the concrete work being completed on my wall in back. They did not leave a mess. They did a huge roof repair for me about 6 years ago after a leak had damaged a balcony. They had to replace most of the fascia boards and repaint them and put in new trim strips where the roof meets the fascia. At that time they put new finish over the flat part of the roof in front and sealed the area between the balcony and the one-story section of the house. This was a 25 yr roof installed when we remodeled in 1998. They replaced a few shingles 2 years ago . It was a minor repair.

Contacted Byer Roofing - set up appointment - required three phones (they did not return phone messages) and an email to confirm - explained that my roof is a flat two story roof and was lead to believe that they had done work in the area thus knowing what size ladder they would need to inspect the roof - took off work to meet with Byer representative - he showed up - no latter, spent maybe five minutes hearing what I wanted - told me he need to contact his "guys" to get proper size ladder and that he would call me back. Never heard from them - totally unprofessional and must has bigger jobs to do. Any company that doesn't know what ladder to bring in an area they claimed to have worked in, probably is capable of doing the job in the first place.

Brian Wolsky (V.P. of Tom Byers Roofing) came out and conducted an inspection of the roof and fascia boards. He was very professional and forthright. He identified the deteriorated fascia boards that needed replacing and indicated that the roof was ok for another 3-5 years. He provided a cost estimate of the fascia board replacement and included a reroofing estimate at our request. Both the fascia board replacement and reroofing estimates were lower than several other estimates using the same materials. He accommodated our schedule for the repair work. His crew arrived on time with the necessary materials and completed the work in timely fashion. The fascia boards were primed before they were installed along with new drip edge. The quality of the work was very good. They left the work area clean. Brian was also kind enough to conduct an inspection and evaluation of the roof at my mothers' house which he found to be in good repair and told her it should last for another 10-15 years. Overall we were very satisfied with service, quality of work and and professionalism of Tom Byers Roofing and would use them again for any future roofing needs.

I have used them for many years. They are fast, efficient and accommodating. He was original roofer and he has come back a couple of times to do different things. He remembers his clients. He is very pleasant. The owner comes to see the job.

We used Tom twice; he was a referral from our contractor friends. It went perfectly well. His crew came when they said they were coming and they did it. It was fine but there was a big mess because they had to take off the other roof, as there were two layers of roofing. They said that there was going to be a big mess in our attic and that it would come down into the garage because of the rafters but they warned us ahead of time so we had it cleaned up. We would have had to pay them more money if they did all the clean up. They did some of the cleanup but day after day, more pieces of the old shingles came down. They cleaned up a bunch but they had said days after it would still come down so we cleaned up the rest. They were fine, we needed a roof, and this has a thirty-year life span. We had a cheaper bid from another company but we didn't think they were going to do good so we went with Tom Byer Roofing. We are very, very happy with the quality of the roof. They were here every day and everything was excellent.

I was very happy with them. I paid a couple hundred dollars and it didn't fix the leak problem so they came back and didn't charge me. They have done very good work. I will continue to use them.

To save money, I supplied the roofing material, because I could get it from Home Depot and not have to pay for it for a year, important for my cash flow at the time. Tor further save money, Tom told me what lumber I needed, and I bought that from HD on the same and quot;no interest for a yearand quot; plan. I did all the wood priming myself, and his crew put it up. I had to go back to HD and get more wood a couple times. The crew arrived when Tom said they would, and they quickly stripped the roof, repaired all the termite damage, and re-roofed it. Any time I had any questions through the whole process, Tom was just a quick phone call away. He always returned my calls promptly. After the roofing job was done, I had the building tented for termites. The termite company did some very minor damage to the roof, which Tom promptly came out and fixed at no charge. I was very happy in all my dealings with Tom Byer Roofing, and I would definitely hire them again for any roofing job. Honest person, well-run company, great responsiveness, excellent quality work.

The work was done in a timely manner, clean-up was excellent, and all contacts with the company were done in a professional manner. The price was slightly higher, but this company has been in business in this local area for many years and stands behind their work.
