Our design approach is based on the importance of good client relationships. Listening to the clients, and using their goals as a guideline, we begin to develop design ideas that compliment the architecture of the house, hightlight the natural beauty of the property and address the horticultureal conditions that factor into the plant selection.
I really liked the design that the owner came up with initially, but did some research on some plants and questioned some choices because I clearly and repeatedly told her that I did not want to have plants that were high (or even medium) maintenance or would outgrown the area they were planted in. I found that the owner was not very receptive to my concerns or requirements--she seem to get defensive when I questioned her choices, and seemed very reluctant to modify the plan at all. Huh? She also took the plants that were in my photos and assumed I wanted those plants--regardless of their maintenance or future size--when I explicitly told (more than once) that I was not an expert on plants and although I liked the look of certain plants that did not mean I was willing to use them regardless of their short comings. I looked to her to give me alternative plants that would provide a similar look but meet my overall requirements. After all, she was the expert (as she kept telling me). Even with these contentious conversations, I was willing to have her complete the work. I knew she was slammed with other jobs until after Thanksgiving, but expected to hear from her before then to at least get final plans drawn up, estimates revised, plants picked out, prep work (demo, irrigation) done, etc. I didn't hear from her for 2 months, so I called her early December. I didn't get a call back, so after a couple of days I just decided to scape the whole thing--I didn't have the time or willingness to babysit her and her contractor to get these done when they promised. Obviously she didn't need my business. I asked for my deepest it back and it was returned immediately. tMy whole career has been around customer service, and she sure could use some help there. She comes across as arrogant, defensive and just plain difficult to work with. She doesn't really listen, spending most of her time talking at you rather than listening to you. Life is too short to work with people like that, I don't care how talented they are.... or think they are.
Description of Work: Provider met with me to discuss the re landscaping of my front yard. We discussed what I didn't and didn't like, and I provided photos of landscapes that appealed to me. Owner provided me with a one page layout of the front yard, indicating plants used and quantity of each.

Description of Work: Landscaped the front yard and put in a drip system. It took five days. They were very professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. They put in the plants that I liked and what grew well in the shade as well as the sun. They used some of the plants that I already had.

I've had The Plant N*** since 2007. They did a complete re-landscaping at that time and I have had them twice a year ever since. They are (without a doubt) the best people to work with - friendly, professional and do outstanding work! Korina and Chris (owners) quickly become your friends.

Oh my gosh. These people are the best. They are the most professional, knowledgeable, friendly people that I have dealt with in a very long time. They met or exceeded every deadline. Sarah did my design and she was the only one of the four designers that submitted, that really understood the look that I wanted. The installers were very knowledgeable and explained everything well, and answered all of my questions without hesitation. I always felt in touch with the project even though I couldn't always be there. Everything went smoothly- no surprises! The installers really seem to like their job and it shows in the quality of their work. Plant N*** may not be the least expensive, but I think that they are definitely the best value for the money. If you want the cheapest price and you don't care about anything else, then find the cheapest outfit that you can. But if you want things to go smoothly and know that the project is being handled by professionals, then this is an outstanding value. I highly recommend them and will be using them again.
Description of Work: Provided design for front and backyards. Ultimately I had them additionally do the installation of the plants and low-voltage lighting.

They were an absolute delight to work with and we are planning to have them build a garden for us next month. they were very nice, knowledgeable people that were very flexible, we had a very tight time frame to get this done and the took a three week process and turned it into a one week process so that we could get what we needed for our association board.
Description of Work: They provided a bid and a landscaping plan
I have my house in such a place where a third of the yard is in shade all day long as the sun is behind the house and so they planted ferns and stuff as there is a little more shade and a little more moisture and as it goes further it needs less moisture. The yard is growing brilliantly. They didn't do a demo or prop the top soil but did everything else. It's a drip system and not a buried system. So the last time they came out they checked everything and if they were working properly and there was no plugs. They also checked all the light bulbs and put back all the little lights in properly. I had a lot of work done around the house, we had a flag stone replaced and the house was painted. When they came out they had to take care of that. They replaced some plants and replanted, they fertilized some plants, they trimmed and pruned. We had boulders put the second time they came in. I like everything about them. They are prompt, friendly, professional, young and environmentally cutting edge. They are little pricey but you get what you paid for. They would be here annually to do the job.
Description of Work: I used the service of The Plant Nerd Inc for my front yard maintenance. I got an annual tune up and maintenance done about four weeks ago. They did a study for micro climates in the yard and they chose specific drought resistant plants for the yard, they put down an irrigation system, they put some lights, installed all the irrigation and set it up, they picked up all the plants and they designed it. It's aesthetically placed and it's drought resistant.
