We had a very positive experience with Shulman Roofing. Every aspect of our roof replacement project was trouble free. Joe Shulman communicated clearly and promptly what would be done throughout and executed accordingly. All work was completed on schedule and with care. I could go into a lot of detail on the specifics but the bottom line is that we got a quality product at a competitive price, (we obtained 4 estimates) and are exceedingly happy that we chose Shulman Roofing. I would definitely use them again and can recommend this company as trustworthy and a good choice for anyone needing roof repair or replacement.

Working with Joe and team at Shulman Roofing was a great experience! I have dealt with many contractors, and my experience with this team was by far the best I have experienced. Joe showed up very prepared for the initial estimate. Brought samples and literature for all the products that he installed. Helped with selection of materials and explained in detail how the process would work. When I asked for multiple samples to lay on the roof, they showed up on my doorstep the next day. Entire project lasted 5 days. First 3 days were spent repairing damage. Repairs were very complex, including multiple rafter tails and T&G sheathing. Any issues I pointed out were repaired immediately. Repairs ended up flawless. Shingle and flat roof took about 2.5 days. All flashing, channels and vents look excellent. It is easy to see that Joe's team has spent many years in the industry. All materials were cleaned up and house looked good as new at completion. I would HIGHLY recommend that you consider Joe for your project. Throughout the project he was very responsive to all questions, and I even got daily updates with pictures of any repair work that was being done.

Mr Shulman took all the tiles on my roof and replaced it with GAF shingles. He replaced all the fascia boards that had wood rot and termite damage. Everything was done in 5 days and cleaned out all the materials. Mr. Shulman explained every details of the job and the cost up front and there was no surprises. I believe he did an outstanding job and would recommend his company to my family and friend.

From the start Joe made us feel comfortable and handled all aspects of the roofing process from pulling permits to final inspection. The job site was cleaned and cleared daily. Workers we grateful and pleasant. Joe is a certified GAF installer which add peace of mind to our warranty. He made suggestion about the benefits of roofline venting. We interviewed 5 roofing contractors and after careful consideration we chose Shulman roofing for our house. Joe was very thorough and professional during his presentation and although they were the most expensive quote we got we felt they would do the most complete job with minimal problems and "surprises" that normally come with renovation / construction. The whole process went as he described it would and with the exception of some subroof damage that was not anticipated our roof was complete within 5 days. His workers were very friendly, considerate and extremely efficient when it came to keeping things cleaned up around the house. It rained weeks back very hard (flooding in the Mt Baldy area just north of our house) and I checked the attic and found absolutely no signs of water. I would highly recommend Joe and his crew to anyone.

Joe Shulman, and his crew did a very professional job. I was very pleased with the outcome. They were very responsive to my requests, and worked with me on other small details. I would recommend them, and I have already to a few of my co-workers, and a couple of realtors. He did a good job. We got a big, heavy rain storm and he finished it two days before that. The timing was excellent. His price was not the lowest and not the highest; it was about in the middle.

I We had gotten four bids for the roof and all were within a few hundred dollars of each other. What set Shulman Roofing apart from the others was his knowledge and attention to the information we were sharing. The main reason for the new roof was from damage caused by Solar Panel installation a few years prior. He had seen many instances of the same damage and worked with the solar company to insure that they reinstalled the system correctly to avoid future damage. I can honestly say that had we not hired Joe the panels would have been installed the same way and we could be facing the same leakage issues. Anyone that is thinking of installing solar, or has solar and is replacing a roof I would look no further for another roofing company. The roof was installed on time, looks beautiful , his team was extremely professional and courteous and listened to any concerns no matter how small- even covering up tomato plants I am growing to not damage them. I have nothing but high praise for this company and would highly recommend.

Joe arrived right on time, was clean and was very pleasant to talk with. We received several quotes; his was right in the middle of them all. Ultimately we went with Shulman Roofing because of how thorough Joe was. He not only explained every step of the process but also provided a brief slideshow of photos reinforcing their procedure and gave details of the materials used. We were getting the more from his company than the others were going to do. Joe noticed specifics about our house that no one else pointed out. He found that our home had many large exhaust vent openings through the attic ? more than normal for our 1,200 sqft home. We confirmed that the water heater had long since been moved to the garage, leaving the unused pipe still in place. Joe said he will have it removed to help eliminate that entry point which could cause leaks later on. He also inquired about our exhaust vents in the bathrooms since our house never had any installed. He suggested that a vent be installed for the existing bathroom fan (which just blows into the attic and not out through the roof) and also adding one over the other bathroom since we?re planning to add a bathroom fan in the future. This way the vents can be properly installed and sealed now with no worry of having to open up the roof in the future. We liked the fact that he took was taking the time to not only see what we need now but what could be needed later. His quote had offered two prices ? the difference depended on which shingle type we preferred. (We opted to go with the high definition.) Joe had an opening the very next week, so we scheduled it for the following Monday. The crew that was sub-hired to remove the old roof worked quickly and was done on Monday before noon. They did a great job at leaving practically no debris on the property (anything left was just small wood pieces or nails that fell hidden in the planters.) The wood repairs were done that afternoon and then the roof was loaded with new material. Tuesday morning the city inspector performed the initial inspection and over that day, Wednesday and into Thursday evening the new roof was installed. By Friday morning the city inspector came back to complete the final review. Throughout the week we did have many questions and concerns come up since this was all new to us. Joe was extremely responsive and dedicated to making sure that not only was everything correct, but that we were also at ease. The specifics which we talked about at the time of the quote (IE: removing and installing additional vents) as well as a few other items were all completed as he said it would be. Joe was easy to get a hold of and returned your call within minutes. His excellent communication made the process that much easier. For this being the first time we?ve ever had to hire a company for a house project, we can only hope anything else we need will go as easily as Shulman Roofing made it for us!

We discovered a leak in our roof and used Angie's List to find three local roofers. We selected Shulman Roofing after meeting Joe, the owner of the company. He was knowledgeable and offered us another option to solving our leak that the other estimates had not suggested. Joe spent a while checking out our roof and was timely with the work estimate. We selected his company and the work started the following week. His employees arrived at 0730 in the morning and worked until it was dark. They cleaned up and were very courteous and professional. The next day they returned early in the morning and completed the work in about three hours. Again they cleaned up and removed all their equipment and debris. As far as I can tell, the job was first rate and they did exactly what Joe said they would do. We are happy with Joe and his company and will use them again in the future.

Excellent!! I would recommend that anyone ready to put a new roof of their home use Shulman Roofing. He was one of three bidders we chose and was the middle price range. We negotiated a bit more and he accommodated us on that as well. His crew took off the old, very tired roof, in one day. And, in three days, the new roof was on. All the flashing were new and painted to match the roof tile color we chose. They even did some remedial work on the fascia boards. In three days. And bear in mind this is a 3,000 square foot home so there was a lot of roofing to be done.

The work was done very well. The guy was very professional. They hit the timelines that they said they would do for the job. They were quick and it only took about 2-3 days. You could tell that they were professional roofers. We did sell the house about a year later, so I do not know how it has lasted, but the new roof helped increase the value of the sale.

After receiving 4 bids for a complete tear off and reroof for a 1400 sq. ft., single story house, we went with Shulman roofing. They were pretty much in the middle of the pack as far as price goes, but were much more detailed oriented when it came to explaining the materials used and how they would be installed. The whole job from start to finish went smooth with no problems. Dago the foreman was very easy to deal with and answered any questions we had during the process. We are so happy with the end result and our much needed new roof looks great.

We were very impressed with Shulman Roofing. We received four quotes to re-roof our 2300 sq ft, 2-story home. All the proposals were competitively priced for a tear-off and re-roof with GAF Timberline HD shingles. We chose Shulman because they were the only one that used all GAF certified materials, including a roof Ridge-Vent system. Joe Shulman and his crew are very professional, arrive on-time, work hard and clean-up the area. They replaced all the rotted plywood, rafters, eave boards and fascia boards. Installed new edge metals, valley metals, saddle metal, step flashing for chimney and walls. Replaced heater and water heater vents and pipe flashings. Painted all the new metal parts. All the work was completed in 3 1/2 days. The roof looks great, even the city building inspector said they did a beautiful job!

Very well. He explained to me what he would do ( reseal all pipe flashing, chimney and skylights) and was able to do it without me being present. He accomplished the work (his workman did the job) very quickly and my roof looks good for another year. He took the time to look everything over, told me I did have time left on my roof and did not pressure me into re-roofing at this time. I was very pleased with the time he took to explain what would be done and also gave me an estimate for a new roof. I will definitely be calling him back when it is time to put the new roof on.

once we saw how to work angies list we started are search for people that we needed to get work done on are house. first up was roofing co. called shulman roofing. was told by the first person we spoke with who was very courteous that someone would be getting back to us shortly. 5-10 minutes later joe shulman returned my call gave rough estimate over phone. i said great and was told they would be out saturday in the afternoon. this would be two days after my first call. joe called friday and wanted to know if they could come friday afternoon. i said great. apologize for not remembering the names of the two roofers that came to my house but they just were the best. like i told joe smiling when they got here and smiling when they left. if you need roof fixed, shulman is it.
