Monica tried to push her opinion on us. We had a hard time getting her to come to our house and give an estimate. When she came she said that our tile was fine and we shouldn't change it even though we don't like it. Then she got angry when we asked her to take her shoes off. Her price increased after she took her measurements. She was very rude in store and especially at our home. Will not use her.
Description of Work: Looking to redo flooring and move kitchen island.

Before we closed on our new house, we spoke to some flooring companies, knowing we wanted to pull out the downstairs carpet and install hardwood floors. We had seen Orange County Kitchen, Bath and Flooring ads in the mailbox, but could not find many reviews at all. While in the area on another trip, we stopped by the Huntington Beach showroom and spoke to Reza. He was very friendly and helpful and gave us a ballpark estimate based on our rough idea of square footage. We then shopped some other flooring sources, including Lumber Liquidators. Others were slower to respond and/or higher priced. LL was competitive on pricing, but their conctracted installer provided zero confidence level due to being slow to communicate the estimate and respond to questions. We came back to OC Kitchens, Bath and Flooring and had them do a measurement for a firm estimate. The price remaine highly competitive and they were readily available for the installation. Note that the price was less than the floating floor installation price from competitors. Before committing, I called three references provided by them and talked to two people (one never called back). The references gave glowing reviews, and we booked the work. We put 50% down and paid 50% after installation. The installers were courteous, professional, efficient and very, very good! They used butt joints against some other materials to avoid too many thresholds or other finish pieces. The finished product is beautiful and other contractors in the home for other jobs have pointed out it was 'done right'. We have piece of mind knowing it is fully sealed and glued - should have no moisture concerns and it is good and solid (no hollow sound like floating floor installation). Overall, we could not be more pleased and we recommend this company to others. We feel we took a bit of a chance due to the inability to find reviews, so we are posting this to help others.
Description of Work: 1) Removed carpet and tile 2) Installed approx 1,100 square feet of distressed, hand-scraped engineered hardwood flooring (glued down with moisture sealer glue). This included some stairs and other trim work. 3) Installed approx 250 linear feet of 4.5-inch baseboard, which we painted the night before installation
