+ -1 moreWe have filed a claim with the Contractor's State License Board ("CSLB"). Note that the provider is not licensed as a contractor but the work was performed under Williams Construction (see review under that name). The claim lists all the issues and it has not been resolved as of this date.
Description of Work: The provider was hired to renovate our home in Bixby Knolls. and have it ready for move in in about a month He was referred by a realtor. He does not have a contractor's license so used his friend's license. He was the contact person for the work contracted..

+ 2 moreIn hindsight, I would have looked on Angie’s List. I then would have known that this company is not licensed. Because the owner had worked at a neighbor’s house, I took their recommendation seriously. But they did not get the attitude we did from the owner. He was basically a liar.... one promise after another and then had the nerve to try and blame us for the materials not sticking to the concrete. P.S. No we will never hire this company again!
Description of Work: Hired this company to lay concrete on the patio; then a decorative layer on top. Within two months after completion, the decorative coating began to lift up. Many, many calls requesting a return to fix were ignored. A year and a half later, owner finally agrees to fix as long as we paid for it! Because according to him, it was our fault because we hurried him! Scheduled a day, didn't show up. Scheduled another day, didn't show up. Over and over, one excuse after another. So we are now looking for a more reliable company. $3,000 we paid. See you in small claims. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! Beware!!!!

Description of Work: My Surf City Handyman did a little bit of everything. They patched drywall, put together an Ikea closet door, hung a flat screen tv, hung curtains, put up shelves and put up a new light fixture. They were on time, charged me what they had estimated and did excellent work. They are professional and friendly. I have used handymen in all the states we lived in and they are the best!
