Kennah explained the process, and answered all our questions before work began. Steve discussed the option to lay down steel plates to minimize possible concrete cracking of the path around the pool - and we discussed possible access routes- using both small and larger Bobcats. We elected to use the larger Bobcats and to lay down steel plates, as a precaution. Access to the pool still required the partial demolition of a block wall and landscape plant beds. The orchestration of the many disciplines began and there was no down time. No new concrete cracks occurred - (and there were many pre-existing older concrete cracks around the pool) - (Another contractor had said the path around the pool would be destroyed in the process.) Our path around the pool remained intact, a minimum of landscape cutting was done, and the block wall is better now than before. The job was much larger than we imagined – but it continued as planned. This is a demolition job - but the work was expertly performed and neatly buttoned up. We were very pleased with the professionalism of the entire experience.

I selected Kennah to do our pool demolition after conducting extensive research. It's worth mentioning that I've been in residential home remodeling for over a decade and understand what it takes to pull off complex projects. Kennah demoed our pool, concrete patio, and patio cover. The biggest challenge was doing so through all of the historic rain we've had here in California. Kennah managed the job (and the extreme weather) very well and left us with a perfectly graded patch of dirt (a blank canvas) onto which we will construct our new backyard. Even the city inspector was impressed with the soils engineering reports, grading, and compaction. We've had heavy rain since the demo, and while there is pooling (we haven't installed the new drainage yet) the ground absorbs it all without issue and it is completely dry within 24-36 hours. Yet another testament to the quality of the work. Crew was clean and friendly and really took pride in their work (and seemed to have a lot of fun in the process). I highly recommend this company if you have a pool or other demolition project. Truly top notch.

We purchased a property in Norwalk that had a pool filled to the top with dirt. We we're sure if it was filled properly and called a few demo companies for their opinions. Steve, with Kennah Construction, was the quickest to get back to us and the first to submit a bid. I appreciated that the bid was thoroughly written out, line item by line item, with everything they would do. Steve also called right after he sent it to discuss everything on it. While we had a verbal bid that was lower (we also had a bid that was higher), we decided Kennah Construction was the company we wanted to work with. Steve knew that we were on a strict time constraint and he fit us in almost immediately. The job, with permits and inspections, was done in less than a week. We couldn't believe it. Steve graciously updated us throughout the project, as this is a flip and we weren't on site. Just an overall pleasure to work with! Kennah Construction will definitely be added to our list of "go-to" companies that we will use on future projects.

Steve and every person on his team exceeded my expectations. The excavation went beautifully and he worked overtime to ensure it was done in time to receive the pool with limited notice. Please see the pictures for a complete picture on how difficult the site was to excavate. Steve and team stayed throughout the pool being craned and helped get it in the ground. Everyone on his team was friendly, polite and extremely helpful. His team also helped ensure the pool was level and helped begin the backfill process. These people really went above and beyond what they were hired for.

I like that they were very professional and they were punctual in getting out to do the work. It was such an enormous job and was so many potential problems that I thought they did a great job being careful and making certain that it all went smoothly. They also did a great job of working closely with the city inspectors to make sure everything was done the way that it was supposed to be.
