Description of Work: Amir, the owner, is very impressive with his knowledge, patience and intelligence. I know very little about computers and had purchased an IMac. He came to my home, installed it and personalized it for my use. I had read extremely positive reviews on Yelp about his computer expertise with complicated problems. I guess that my problem may have been a bit easier, but he was very patient with me, explaining how to use the computer as he would have been with someone with more computer sophistication. My PC that I was getting rid of was fairly new and my husband had an outdated PC. Amir suggested emptying my old computer contents to a flash drive and then transferring my husbands old computer info into mine and updating it so that he has a "new" one as well. His prices are very fair and he shows up on time, calling first. His assistant, Kevin, is also very knowledgeable. I am extremely pleased and impressed with this business and I plan to call Amir in the future for all computer needs.

I kept having issues with BSOD (blue screen of death) so I dropped my computer off on Saturday and they said they would diagnose it and get back to me in 1-2 business days. They called me Monday at 10 a.m. to tell me they had determined the problem (a virus) and that they could have everything cleaned up and re-loaded on to the computer that day by 5 pm. I wasn't expecting it back so quickly so I told them the next day was fine. They were very fast, very good and extremely easy to work with. I will definitely use them for any future computer needs.

+ -1 moreSam came to set up 2 laptops with the same router. One was already set up. A new one was to be added. At first look this fee seems high. But while working on one unit the other displayed the dreaded Blue Screen of Death and needed to go to their shop. A coupon for $150.00 (2 hr on site service) + $140.00 (repair of the other laptop) = $290.00. I was surprised to get it back within 24 hrs! It was well worth it! I had a dying desktop in the house which Sam offered to take and kill the harddrive free of charge! That deserves an A+ by itself! Another surprise was that they guarantee their service for 30 days. They also anwer their phone/emails very fast. Take that 'Computer Geeks' from Best! They wanted $40.00 just to answer a question! I am very pleased. And yes, I would go to them again when needed.
Description of Work: Sam was very patiently explaining the new laptop and router world to me while he was working on a setup with another laptop to create a home system using the same router.

+ -1 moreWhen I took the computer in for diagonistic work the fee was waived because I was refered from Angies List. The following day I was called and given an estimate. The work was completed in the time frame I was given and the quoted price. I was told I had a 30 warrenty for what they did and any other thing that may go wrong, reguardless of whose fault.

Description of Work: Our computer was running very slow and had numerous "glitches" that suggested virus infection or worse. None of our expensive preventative software would solve the problem but HB Computer did. There were no virus infections (surprisingly) and they fixed everything at issue and in a very timely manner as we were on a deadline and desperately needed the computer to manage that. We were extremely pleased. After about a week we were again struck with problems and could do nothing on the computer. HB Computers took the computer in and it was discovered that we had now acquired 100+ infections--traced by us to an employee. They cleaned it and restored to pristine condition which required considerable time on their part. They would not accept payment as it was within their 30 day guarantee period even though this was a different problem from the first repair. We will use them again in a heartbeat if the need arises.

I did not do a lot of price comparison so I can't say most certainly that they had the best price out there but I would certainly say that they were very competitive. I felt like I got a good deal. Because I opted to go with the upgrade of system as opposed to having them repair my whole system, they did not really do any work. They seemed very knowledgeable and they were able to explain a lot of things for me and took the time to answer questions.
Description of Work: I had problems with my computer and I opted to upgrade my computer so I basically went to HB Computers to upgrade my system so I purchased new equipment.

Our laptop computer crashed 2 times, I called couple of places but was not satisfied including Geek Squad didn't do much to help. HB Computers diagnosed the problem, installed wireless for our home, repaired the computer, and placed a level of encryption and security that eradicated all of the problems we experienced. + -1 moreOur laptop died with the blue screen of death. I was sure it was the hard drive because we had problems with the laptop just locking up in the past. I took the laptop in and they ran a diagnosis and called me to let me know it was a corrupted windows file and there was nothing wrong with the hard drive. They tested everything on the laptop and all checked out. Reinstalled windows (upgraded us to windows 7 for free) and then reinstalled microsoft office for us (charged an extra $20 to reinstall that, but I didn't feel like trying to dig out our disks to insall it so had them do it) and the laptop is working great. 30 day warranted on the repairs and they gave us a $50.00 coupon for any other repairs we need. They were quick, dropped the laptop off on Saturday and it was ready to pick up on Tuesday. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with computer problems.
