The did a comprehensive remote analysis of the device but were not able to isolate the problem. Further online research suggested that there is a problem with the Wifi antenna getting loose. So i opened the computer and reset the connectors. That seems to have helped. Also, online research suggest replacing the Broadcom device with an Intel device. That is my next step -- $30 on Amazon. The remote service cost is usable for instore checkup. But detailed knowledge of the Lenovo is required to get this fixed. it may be some conflict in software but who knows?

An appointment was made for a technician to visit my home. The technician, Dung, arrive at the scheduled time and proceeded to diagnose the problem. He resolved the issue in a professional and friendly manner.

I have been a customer of HB Computers for two years. They made house calls when I had issues with my home network. Amir, Kevin and everyone from HB Computers who I have dealt with are very nice, knowledgeable and professional. Amir cares about his customers; it is easy to schedule an appointment and they are always on time. Amir makes sure that the customer is happy and that everything is taken care of. This year, I bought a custom built HB Computer which works great. Their prices are fair and the customer service is excellent. I?m very happy with the computer and the service. I know that I can always rely on Amir and his team.

I have my entire family now using HB Computer's? They are incredible. I make the drive all the way from San Clemente to Huntington Beach with each and every computer issue our family has. Polite, professional, and the integrity of employees I don't find elsewhere. I have not had an issue that they have not been able to address and correct, so we continue to be hooked on HB Computer's!

I talked with Amir on the phone to schedule. The technician, Sam, came out this morning, and showed up 15 minutes early. They are not only prompt, but early if it's appropriate. When using my computer I want to make sure I have someone trustworthy and with great technical knowledge. He made suggestions and answered all my questions in ways that I could understand. Great communication skills, and excellent computer skills.

Initially we had a desktop that was freezing and very slow. they came to the home within 2 days of our call and diagnosed a failing hard drive in one computer and a need to reinstall Windows in the other. We had to replace the one desktop and the day after we bought a new laptop for the replacement they were able to take the laptop in their store and transfer all the programs and files the same day so we had full use that evening. this was critical since we had some business activities needing to be done on this computer. When I tried to connect the new laptop to our old larger monitor I had trouble getting the image to fit the screen. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell, 2 hours on the phone with Samsung and 2 hours trying to reach Microsoft Store where we bought the computer and no one was able to help or connect me with someone who could. I took everything back to HB Computer and they fixed the problem in a very short time. I will never rely on the manufacturer or store of purchase for any computer issues again and will go straight to HB Computers.

HB Computer guys know their stuff. They transferred all of my data from one computer to another and did it in one day. No files were lost. Everything was were it was suppose to be. I'm very happy!

This pc had so many problems including the 'blue screen' (of death) that they first wanted to run a full diagnostic for $50.00 which would be applied to any possible repair. This scan would take several hours I was told and they would call later in the afternoon. Bad news, the whole hard drive had to be removed and reinstalled. They gave me a choice of Ram they could install either500 or 600 which the latter would cost $175.00 more. I chose 500 because I don't need that much memory. Then came the shock: they needed 48 hours to install the new drive. I use the pc daily for research, email, games etc. but it had to be done. A weekend in between the 48 hours prolonged my agony of withdrawal (they don't repair anything on weekends but take in pcs for repair). I was quoted $225.00 for the repair minus the $50.00 diagnostic as agreed. Sure enough they called Monday evening that the job was completed. They surprised me with a on year warranty and a disc to be brought in with future repairs. I'm not that savvy with pcs so I don't know what they said was on that disc. They also cleaned the pc from smudges and dust. As I commented on that they thoroughly re-cleaned it again! Horray, it works like new!

Can't say enough about HB Computer's in Huntington Beach! My family had issues with their laptops and I initially took three of them to HB. They did an excellent job and provided everything promised. After my first experience I referred my other daughter and she too had a good experience with HB computers. From price to product, as well follow up, they were excellent. This service is great. I am a techno-phobe. They contacted me immediately to set up appt after I purchased a "deal". They arrived on time, set up two computers, "fixed" a problem I had with the e-mail component of my Kindle Fire, and provided some basic instruction, all within two hours. Was completely satisfied, and will definitely use them for future computer needs.

I am in Seattle but needed someone to install a computer for my elderly mother in Orange County, and to train her in its use. Amir was very helpful and was able to get someone to her home the same day I called. The person who arrived was very competent and also very patient in dealing with my mom. I am very appreciative to Amir for the fast service and professional / friendly conduct of his technician.

My high end, expensive gaming computer would not boot. I could get to the command prompt and see that the c: drive had become the f: drive, but I didn't know what this meant nor how to fix it. I could have tried to replace the drive, but I would't know for sure if that was the problem, so I would risk buying hardware that didn't fix the problem, plus all the lost time and frustration trying to fix an important device. I could not install the operating system again because there was no c: drive. I am comfortable with software problems, but hardware problems are beyond my expertise. I took it to Amir for diagnosis. I had read good reviews about HB Computers from Angie's List. The up front charge was $50 to diagnose. The $50 would be deducted from the final fix price if I decided to let them fix it. He called me later that day (I had dropped it off in the morning) with the diagnosis. As I suspected, the problem was the solid state drive -- it needed to be replaced (stay away from the OCZ brand). The final charge would be $295, or $245 including the $50 diagnostic credit. This included tax. The price seemed fair. The drive price averaged $150, so the labor was around $150. Having the piece of mind that this was the problem and the time it saved me was worth it to me. He called me back late the next day saying it was ready for pickup. So overall it was a 1 day turnaround for diagnosis, 1 day for fix. He said it typically takes 24-48 hours for diagnosis, 24-48 hours for a fix. He had recommended and, upon my approval, installed a 250 GB Samsung solid state drive. He assured me it was the best available and very reliable. He said there is a 5 year manufacturer warranty and a 30 day service warranty. What I REALLY liked was that he said that if the drive fails within the warranty and I bring it back to him, he would take care of the process. It does me no good to wait for over a month without a computer to possibly get a warranty filled from Samsung. I would not hesitate to use HB Computers to diagnose and fix future problems I can't readily fix myself. Their prices are reasonable and they have earned my trust.

Amir and his crew determined that I needed to replace my wireless access point, suggested the Ruckus R300, got it and tested it at their offices before installing it in my home. In the meantime, they kept me updated on all developments and helped me organize my cabling as well. They were awesome to work with and I would call them again in a heartbeat should I have further need for their services.

It started off a bit rocky (we have dogs and the technician was allergic), but HB Computers more than exceeded my expectations by insisting on honoring my request for repair and doing more than I expected. They honored the original fee of $150 and only slightly increased that (+$50) when it was determined that my computer needed much more than originally thought. The communication throughout the process was EXCELLENT. They delivered my computer back to me ahead of the originally quoted date as well. Overall, I am extremely pleased with HB Computers.

Our two computers had accumulated a lot of spam and malware, and certain operating systems did not work He fixed the computer completely..

They went out of their way to accommodate me by arriving right away and changing their schedule. Yes they came to my home. This was such a convenience for me. Sam assessed the situation and took my computer back to his shop to try to fix it. I received a phone call saying that they could try to fix it but it would end up costing me more money and that I would be better off with a new computer. I pretty much knew that already, but appreciated their honesty. I purchased a new computer and Sam came out and transferred all information as well as educating me on my new Mac. He also fixed my printer and set up the scanner as well.

It worked okay. They were in the ball game, price wise. They stood by their work. Initially, after we got it they took it back and they fixed it with no charge. We used them twice and in both times they were good.

The service guy was on time, extremely knowledgeable and fixed all programs - more than I expected. Absolutely, will be using them again.

I've gone to HB Computer for two separate netbook issues dealt with Amir both times. Both times were wonderful experiences. I definitely recommend Amir and HB Computer for your computer repair needs. October 2013, my netbook's charger stopped working and I thought it was a battery issue. I went to Amir and he ran a diagnostic test on the computer and charger. He told me the battery was fine and I just needed a charger. He ordered one for me from the manufacturer and a week later I had my computer back. Amir charged me his cost without markup. Amir called me a couple times during the process just to keep me updated, which I appreciated. In every contact with me, Amir was polite, courteous and professional. June 2014, I broke my netbook's screen and took the computer to Amir to see if he could get me a replacement screen. He quoted me $100 to procure and install a refurbished screen. I agreed. He called me the next business day to say he had ordered a refurbished screen and that the screen alone cost about $100. Rather than quote me a new higher estimate to cover the screen plus the labor he would need to install it, he said he would stick to his original $100 estimate. I picked the netbook up today (6/16/2014), nine days after first dropping it off and the new screen works great. I also appreciate that Amir stuck to his original quote despite him having to take a loss on my repair job. As with the first time I dealt with Amir, he was courteous, polite and professional every time we talked.
