Everything went well with excellent communication throughout. Our scope of work was less than their typical minimum job, but they were able to accommodate us. They arrived on time, did a great job and everything was cleaned up nicely when they left. We provided our own eggshell paint but once they started they asked if I had any semi gloss for the windowsills (which obviously would be much nicer). I said I could run out and purchase some since our quote did not include paint, but he said he had extra in the truck so they went ahead and used that. We were very happy with the service.

It was a great experience! They painted the entire interior of my house in three days. It looks amazing! I would absolutely call them again!

The salesman, Dan, was no-pressure, informative, and pleasant. The painters, Arturo and Javier, were meticulous, helpful and hard working (in spite of the heat!). Arturo had some suggestions that were far better than what I had originally had requested. The house looks great and the garden was not trampled. I even enjoyed working with their office manager.

Extremely poor work. Did not prime walls, inside pantry shelves were skipped on bottom on purpose as would be difficult to see. Did not do clean work around door casings where areas were not painted. Charged for painting staircase which did not do. Had removed a wet bar and installed a wall unit which needed texture on wall before painting...instead just painted so area did not match wall. Had to point out everything to them which they had to re-do. Continued to cut corners with job. Very messy work; left paint on brass door knobs. Had supervisor out many times but defended painters job. This is the worst paint job I have ever had on any of my homes. Made so many promises and work was deplorable.

We had walls that had been left unpainted (other than the splotches of color samples applied to the walls by a previous decorator) for over two years. I called CertaPro, as well as a couple of other painters for estimates, letting them know I would need them right away. We had just found out that my son's future in-laws would be meeting us shortly after that and we wanted the house to look nice for their visit. CertaPro returned my call the next day and they were the only ones who made an effort to make room for me in their schedule on such short notice. Within the week, Patrick Wade was able to come to our house and give me a very careful and detailed estimate. He also recommended a wonderful color consultant who was able to suggest a great color that coordinated with both our carpeting and laminate floor. Three days later, the CertaPro painters arrived right on schedule and began prepping the door frames and walls to fix the nicks, scratches and rough edges left by remnants of old wall paper that had been removed years earlier. They carefully covered our furniture and cabinets (not a drop of paint ever ended up on those surfaces). The paint job they did was beautiful. When I noticed any areas of unevenness or bleeding of the ceiling color onto the wall color, they fixed it right away. They even sanded the family room ceiling several times over to smooth out some previous water damage. Whatever I requested was done courteously and carefully. The rooms they painted looked great.

A Certapro estimator came to give quote and stated he would email quote the same day; I had to call 3 days later to receive the email quote; office staff rescheduled work one time. I was told by estimator that office staff would ask for paint colors; however, i had to take the initiative to provide the color codes. When the painters arrived, they did not have the color codes but took samples with them to the paint store. That did not cause a delay in the work; however because prep and priming took place first. The painters did a neat, thorough paint job which was completed as promised by the end of the day. The next day a carpenter came and installed crown moulding in the bedroom and a smal two-foot area in the kitchen. The workmanship was outstanding, expecially in the kitchen where he had to fit the moulding in between existing moulding that was not an exact match. The lead painter was unable to return for payment and forgot to leave the contract for my signature. I callled the office to make sure it was OK to make a copy of the emailed contract, sign it, make a copy for myself and give paperwork and check to an associate. For this reason and lack of follow through was initial email estimate, I gave a "C" grade for professionalism. However, I would use this company again because of the excellent workmanship for interior painting and crown moulding installation..

They did a nice job for me. They finished a day ahead of time. I thought they did a credible job. They were punctual and did all kinds of good things. I would recommend them. They did a good job and were very professional.

I wish I could give CertaPro a higher grade, but too many small problems force me to give a C. I will say, however, that all the problems were settled and my house looks great. Read on: Matthew is a great salesman, and we hired CertaPro on the spot after getting the estimate and promise of quality from Matthew. Due to all the wood damage (age and termites), lead paint in some places, and top-of-the-line Sherwin Williams "Emerald" paint, we paid more than someone with a similar sized house may have to pay, but Matthew said from the beginning that CertaPro would be excellent painters, not cheap painters. That's what we wanted. The problems were small but numerous, and not what I would expect from the people who admit to being higher priced due to their high quality. To start, we were told the flashing would be painted, but the paint foreman Raul said they don't paint flashing. We were told the gate was included, but Raul said they don't paint gates. A wire from the telephone pole to the roof of the house was originally attached above the eaves, but on the day they said they were finished the same wire was now below the eaves and so low you could touch it. Three screens were damaged by the pressure washer. Big and obvious damage on the sliding door screen, yet no one said anything until I pointed it out. The painters put a bunch of their trash, including the damaged screens and several empty cans of paint, in my "green recycle" trash can. (In Huntington Beach we have 3 cans: brown for trash, blue for recyclables, and green for lawn and garden clippings). On the day the job was said to be done, I found a lot of chunks of wood that should have been picked up. I don't mean tiny chips, I mean pieces that were 2"-3" wide and up to 6"-8" long. AND my job that the contract says 4-5 days took over two weeks. We did have a couple days of wind and rain that caused no one to be working, but by the time the job was totally finished, it was 16 days. Lucy in the office replied very promptly to my calls and emails, and she was very professional and a nice lady. Raul the painter was friendly and the paint looks good, but I think he felt like my job was done when HE said it was done, and he was ready to move on to the next job, which is why HE didn't want to paint the flashing and the gate. He implied that Matthew the salesman didn't know what he was talking about, but when Matthew had it in the contract to do something, Raul should have taken it up with Pat, the owner, and not just told me "no". Raul also said he'd be at my house (but call first to let me know) on the day he was supposed to fix the final problems, but I called Lucy at almost 5 o'clock because I had not heard from him. He called as I was speaking to Lucy, but I said it was too late and he should come the next day. On the actual final day, Pat came by twice, and Ricardo the painter fixed everything that needed to be fixed, including painting the gate and flashing. He took his time and did a great job. As I said, the paint looks great, and I think a lot of the issues were with the people that did the wood replacement, not the painters. I know CertaPro has the capability to do excellent work, and everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. I think every once in a while you just have one of the Murphy's Law jobs were things just seem to go wrong, and my job was that unlucky one.

My wife and I got proposals from four different companies, including CertaPro. Two of the companies were considerably less than CertaPro and one was about $800 more. We chose CertaPro because for a couple of reasons. Matthew, the representative who came to our home for the estimate, made a very nice presentation. He came with a portable printer and he was able to print our proposal on the spot. We had a list of questions for all of companies who sent somebody to our home. Matthew was able to answer each question to our satisfaction. Matthew offered to knock $150 off our price if we committed by a specific date. Plus, he said we could get the job done on a weekend. Also, CertaPro was based in Huntington Beach. We were happy to support a local company. I really liked the more expensive company, but that extra $800 in their quote was signficant. The final piece that led to our decision was that Matthew promised that all workers that would be painting inside our home were those who were legally allowed to work in the U.S. and that they would all be direct employees of CertaPro....meaning no subcontractors. For liability reasons, these two things were important to us. I requested that Matthew include these two caveats in the contract. This caused a bit of a hiccup. Initially, the language included in the contract that referenced these two caveats was not tight enough. After a few revisions and a conversation with Patrick, the owner, language was included in the contract that was satisfactory. Raul and Carlos got here to begin the job on a Friday. They finished the following Sunday. They arrived promptly at 8am each day and they worked all day, minus a lunch break. There were two issues with the paint. The first was that I provided the wrong color for one of the bathrooms. I found the correct paint sample and Raul was able to run back to Sherwin Williams and fix it at no additional charge. The other issue was that Sherwin Williams in Huntington Beach took all day to prepare the third paint color. Raul felt this was a bit odd, but it did not seem to cause any unnecessary delays. Once the guys got rolling with the painting, it went relatively smoothly. When they finished a room or at the end of each day, we would review the work. They requested that if we found any spots that were missed, either with minor wall repairs or painting, that I could just put some blue tape on that area and they would be sure to fix it. They were very receptive and they took care of whatever spots we found. The only minor complaint that I had was that they did not sweep up the paint chips or debris from the wall repairs at the end of each day. Since it was a three day job, we still had to walk around the house after they left in whatever debris that was left behind. After day one, there was not much debris. However, there was some after day two. I had to sweep up when they were gone because they did not do it. That was my only complaint though. After day three, they swept and cleaned up any paint drops or spatter on any windows or floors. Overall, my wife and I are satisfied with the work done by Raul and Carlos. We would certainly tell friends about CertaPro and we would use them again.

We were satisfied with the house painting. The proposal was well written and comprehensive. The cost was not the lowest nor the highest of the bids we received; we felt the proposal set out in detail was was to be done. The crew with Raul worked hard to get the job done in about a week or so. There were a couple of hiccups, but Pat Wade did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied.

CentraPro painters provided me with a quote to paint the inside of my house and they gave me credit for Angie's List. I mentioned I needed help selecting a color and they provided me with the name of the color consultant, Jane. She came over to the house with several paint chip books and she was amazing and patient. She listened to what I wanted and help me find the perfect color to match my drapes and decor. I highly recommend her, because you only get one chance at the right color. CentraPro was awesome on follow-up (thanks to Lucy, the office coordinator). She even offered to have paint samples created so I could see my color selection on the walls before they started to paint. Next the painters (Alturo and Havier) arrived on time and were very careful in protecting our furniture and floors. They worked very diligently and cleaned up every day before they left. Alturo always asked me how it was going and was a pleasure to work with. Half-way through the job, Patrick Wade, the owner and Lucy stopped by the house to see how it was going. I highly recomend CentraPro if you want the job done right. Only negative is that the job took longer than expected.

My wife and I needed the exterior of our home and partially painted. We required had an outstanding reputation, professional and came highly recommended by other consumers. Our search brought us across CertaPro painters of Huntington Beach. And estimator from CertaPro by the name of, Matthew, scheduled and completed an estimate. Matthew was very courteous and explained the overall process in a way that made us feelcompletely comfortable that we were using the right company and people. He left a printed copy complete with exterior shots of our home as well as a notebook containing CertaPro outstanding features and recommendations by satisfied customers. An added bonus is that the job was 100% financed. The painting crew led by their foreman, Gilbert, provided superior job performance and customer service. They were prompt, neat, and kept us constantly updated with frequent status checks. One of the features of the CertaPro system that was very attractive is that the team would not be paid until we signed off that we were completely satisfied. We would certainly use CertaPro again and highly recommend them to others considering painting.

This house had not been painted in 35 years. They did an excellent job preparing the house before painting, they were neat and clean and their trim work was excellent. We are very please with end result.

The painters were prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, professional. All of this took about a week and a half to 2 weeks, but like I said, it was a lot of work. Pat Wade the owner answered my calls promptly and estimated the job correctly. He honors his 2 year warrantly against blistering and peeling. They left our house clean when they completed the job and were ameniable to any suggestion we had. Pat and all of his people provided the best customer service I have ever seen in the painting arena. I am extremely pleased with the service we had from Pat Wade and his crew. I would definitely use them again.g

Matthew was great to work with on our initial bid. His quote did come in higher than others but he worked hard to bring it "in the ballpark" for us. They were not the least expensive quote we got but everything was spelled out it detail so there wouldn't be any "hidden items". We had previously been "burned" by a contractor who had many hidden charges so were appreciative of the detailed quote. A bonus in using CertaPro is their color consultant. I was pretty sure of the color I wanted to paint the house but they offered a free consultation with their color pro and I'm so glad I used her service. After meeting with her, I changed my mind completely (color-wise) and am so glad I did!! The house looks fantastic. Raul and Carlos did a beautiful job painting the house. You can tell they take pride in their work. They were also neat (cleaned up each night) cheerful, friendly, and very easy to work with. Although CertaPro was more expensive than other painters, it was worth it. You get a quality job for your money.

They did a very good job. The man who came to do the estimate was on time and very courteous. Additionally, the painters stripped down the old paint and did the work very well. The new paint still looks great after a year.

Certa Pro painted the exterior of my house and the interior of my house. The did a wonderful job on both. I would highly recommend them to neighbors,friends and anybody who is interested in a 'first class" job Very responsive to all of my concerns and questions. I left for New York and came back to a fabolous job done on time and looking great..!

From the first contact through the estimate and paint work being performed this has been a great experience. Matthew was the estimator and he did a great job. He scheduled to time to walk the house and go over the project at the time best for me and made it very easy. Matthew put together the estimate within a half an hour after walking and measuring the house. He walked me through the pricing and did a through explanation of the costs and what was included. I was provided photos and references of other projects completed by CertaPro along with a copy of their contractors license and insurance certificate. After deciding to use CertaPro to paint the house they scheduled to work quickly and at a time frame that worked for us. From the first day to completion of the work the Foreman was professional, polite and knowledgable. The crew showed up everyday on time and did exactly what they said they would do. The Foreman did an excellent job of keeping my wife informed of what work was going to be done each day and what to expect. They thought the project would take 5 days and they were done in 4. Most importantly the CertaPro painters did a GREAT job. The old paint was in bad shape in several areas and CertaPro did a great job of sanding and prep so these areas look like new now. The house was painted three colors and the attention to detail is fantastic and the quality is beyond what I hoped for. They used top of the line materials and used great care in doing the work. Upon completion the crew had everything cleaned up and spotless. They also were very careful with the planters and patio surounding the house. Great job by a professional crew, we are very happy customers!!! Friendly, professional, quality, on time and a fair price.

Pat Wade, owner, first came to provide me an estimate of the job. Had received an estimate from another company from Angie's List. Both estimates were almost the same. Pat was able to start earlier, so I chose him. He was very professional and friendly. Enjoyed working with him. Pat was always available for questions and checked in with me the morning of the second/final day of job. He came by that afternoon to see how it was going and was there anything else I needed or had concerns about. We were very pleased and definitely would call Pat again!

I've used them before for exterior work. They are extremely professional and very neat. They are very service oriented for painters. They show up exactly when they say they will show up. The price is in the middle. We had a time crunch, we had 5 days before we moved in and they completed the work in that time frame. This is why I willing to pay more.

Matthew came to the house to provide an estimate. He explained all of the options. We settled on one coat of paint on the stucco, two coats of higher quality paint on the wood trim and one coat on the patio cover. The crew started on schedule. Matthew visited the job site and pointed out that the patio cover needed two coats to cover the old white with the new tan. I agreed. The crew completed the job in three days and cleaned up very well. A couple of weeks later I noticed areas that were still white on the patio cover. They were on the sides and bottoms of the slats and supports. I called Matthew and Fernando came out promptly to touch up the patio cover. The coverage is better, but I can still see some white. Two coats and some touch up should have been sufficient to cover the old color.

They responded quickly, the workers were very nice, and the price was reasonable. The house looks good, too.

It went well. The worker arrived on time and did a good job. However, I feel as though they should have sent an additional worker so they wouldn't have been at the house for so long.

Started off good with a professional looking bid. Hired CertaPro based on this bid and how detailed it was along with good ratings on Angie's List. Told them that I was willing to pay more if they could perform a clean job as this was my elderly parents house and they would not be able to supervise and shouldn't be bothered. They started by power washing the house and tried to contain the old paint chips, but failed. They then tried to patch old stucco and scrap old paint off of the wood trim, but this was an issue also. Every step of the way was one thing or another. What really is disturbing is there lack of clean up and respect for their clients property. Pouring unused wet paint under the brushes and into my parents vegetable garden is about as dis-respectable as it gets. Took 3 weeks to work through 33 punch list items for them to fix after they were "done". Patrick Wade sells the goods and then a bunch of third world painters show up to botch the entire job. Patrick, if you reply to this review and dispute it, I will post the photos including the ones of you digging up the paint in the garden.
