Our heater was not able to start when turning on from the thermostat. I had a service guy from another company come and do diagnosis. He suggested to replace circuit board and thermostat altogether. That would cost more than $800. So I decided to try Gary from Air Vista. Gary made two trips to my house. First time he found out that our heater was in lockout mode for some reason ? a feature from the manufacturer. He reset it and told me to wait for three hours, and then tried again. If it still does not work, then I need to replace the board. Obviously, it did not work. So Gary came second time and was ready to replace the board. After further checking, he found out that a connector was not plugged to the unit. Once he put that back in, the heater started working. He only charged me for the diagnosis fees. He could have gone ahead and replaced the board, and then charged me more. I am happy that I can work with Gary who is honest and professional. Definitely I will recommend him for anyone else.

Furnace blower was running continuously. No heat. Gary arrived as scheduled inspected the entire furnace, including the installation. He had the necessary tools and instruments to assess the problem in minimum time. He performed a reset of the system and it continues to function as expected. Friendly, professional and we will call him again if we ever experience another HVAC problem.

I got several other bids before going with Air Vista. They gave me all sorts of options as to ranges of heaters from the most basic to zoning and made suggestions with respect to brands. I felt that they were extremely honest and very fairly priced. I called one of the other companies back and asked them if they could match the pricing and they said no, so I'm not sure why Air Vista is lower priced, but they certainly are not lower in quality or competency or efficiency. I am very happy with their work and work recommend them to anyone.

Before we talked with AIR VISTA, we hired another havc contractor to look over our 20 year old furnace system. However, we are not satisfied with the quote of the replacement we got. We called Gary, the owner of Air Vista. He came over promptly, identified the problem, and took pictures of the model tag of our old furnace. He explained our options in detail, including pros/cons of repairing or replacement, the types of furnaces we can choose (efficiency, stages, constant/variable speed...), and how he will proceed it. Also he quickly checked our a/c system since we had some concern about its low efficiency. Gary suggested we replace the a/c when it is totally dead since we really do not use it much in summer. He is honest, and quite straightforward. At the morning of the 2nd day, Gary sent us an email about the detail of the work. Then he called us to make sure we get the written proposal/price. His quote is very competitive. On the day of installation, Gary and his fellow did a wonderful job. In addition to the new furnace installation, they also cleaned evaporator of the a/c, checked drain pan and pipe, and freon pressure to make sure our old a/c functions properly. Their work is quick, smooth and neat. Also he gave some quite useful suggestion about our air duct registers. We are 100% satisfied.

We had Gary come out to give us an estimate on a new A/C, furnace & installing new duct work. He was on-time, very nice and really knew what he was talking about. He probably spent a good 45 minutes reviewing the problems, explaining what he felt needed to be done. We really liked what he had to say. We did not have Gary perform the work in the end, as we decided to use a company somewhat closer to us. Would recommend him though.

Checked the local guy and rating through Angie's List. Made the call. They returned the call within a few hours. They worked around my schedule. Air Vista came out and did the service. Said we didn't need anything other than a filter. (It was over three years old) Everything else was good. The tech climbed into the attic where the system is. Noticed possible wasp nest being built. Suggested we fix the screens that open the attic to the pest. He didn't have the filter on hand but came back a few days later to install it. My wife said the owner/ tech was like an old fashioned guy with manners and politeness that is so rare these days.

They were on time, very professional, cleaned up after themselves, worked very hard and reasonably priced.

Gary performed an inspection of my property (furnace location, circuit breaker box, etc) and gave me an estimate on the work and an installation date on the spot. The work was performed two weeks later, after I made an adjustment in the unit size - which was no problem for him. He worked with two others, and they were all articulate, clean, knowledgeable and fast. They were also astonishingly quiet. My granddaughter was napping in the room right next to the attic furnace access and never woke up! Gary had said that normally he schedules the inspection for the same day as the installation but, that since the next day was Independence Day, fewer inspectors were available. The inspection took place on 7/5/12 and went without a hitch. I chose Air Vista over two other vendors because; 1. Gary's presentation was clear, concise and answered all my questions. 2. His price was very competitive. 3. He didn't try to 'sell' me anything - just provided info so that I could make my own decision. 4. His estimate clearly stated that all fees and permits were included in the price. 5. He gave me an Angie's List discount.

Went fast and fixed problem.

Gary came out to give us an estimate. He was very courteous and very knowledgeable about what he does. He will answer all your questions (even if you have some dumb ones) and explain things to you in everyday terms and not his business jargon. He said he would be at my house at 8am and that it would be all done within 2 days. He actually showed up a little early and got stated on things right away. While he was pulling out the old furnace his asbestos removal guy came to pull out the old ducting. By 5pm it was all done! Old furnace out, new one in (with drain pump running to my drain pipe in the garage). New A/C unit on the opposite side of the house from the furnace/blower and all the new R6 ducting installed. He also scheduled the HERS Rater (requirement in my city) to come out at the end of the job to have it all completed in 1 day. He called the city to have the code enforcement guy come out the next day. The HERS Rater and the city inspector both said that this was a really great job and nothing needed to be changed or corrected. Gary called me up later in the day to ask me how it went with the inspector and since nothing was wrong, the job was done and I cut him a check. I do like the fact that he didn't require any money upfront on this job and didn't ask for any until the job was complete to satisfaction. I didn't like that he was going to charge me extra for the time it was going to take him to go to my city hall to pull the permit for the job. I declined that and did it myself. It only took me 30 minutes and probably would have taken him less time since he knew more info that needed to be filled out on the forms then I did. Other then that I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend him! Only gave a B rating for price because the cost for removing the old duct work was more expensive then other quotes I received, but I will say that they guy that removed it, did earn every penny for his hard work, care and professionalism crawling around in my hot attic for hours. As far as the price for the rest of the work, it was right on par with the other quotes I received.

Our A/C unit starting making a terrible screeching noise late last Friday. Even though temperatures were 100 plus over the weekend, we did not use the A/C, but called Gary first thing on Monday morning. Gary could not come out until Wednesday. He called us prior to his arrival to tell us he was on the way and he arrived right on time. Gary could not get the A/C unit to make the noise again, but checked the entire unit over anyway. In spite of having to travel about forty five minutes to get to our home, he did not charge us anything. I did not think the fact that Gary did not charge us anything should be part of this review so that he is not locked into being expected to extend that kindness all the time. We are very appreciative that he did not charge us a service call when he surely could have.

Overall, Gary was the most honest, upfront A/C repair company I dealt with. I would recommend everyone to use him in the future.

After sweltering for 10 days during a heat wave, during which another company came out 3 times but never solved the problem, we called Air Vista. The technician came out promptly, on time, identified the problem, and fixed it same day. It was a little pricey, but to be honest, worth every penny to have reliable A/C again. I would recommend Air Vista highly, and would use them again if we ever (God forbid) need another HVAC service.

We set the appointment he was on time, friendly, professional with in no time at all, found the issue made the repair and replaced a fuse" it is running great. We asked him to bid changing our duct work in the attic. Hi price was reasonable and he even added an estimate to add an attic fan too.Very professional and easy to work with.

This was the second Company that looked at it. The first guy said he could fix it for $341. I was not impressed with his professional attitude and thought it would be less expensive than that. So I called Air Vista and they came, correctly diagnosed the problems and were in and out and fixed the dryer vent (complete revent) and installed a new heater, and the guy did a fabulous job. I was happy to pay the $ for that kind of service.

I had no idea what the scope of our problem was. The furance would go on and then once it reached the desire temperature it would turn off (as it should) but it would not go on again. Someone gave us a work around to the problem (open the furnance and touch a certain wire and the furnance would start up again) but for some reason that someone wasn't inclined to fix it, so I thought perhaps that it was an expense thing to fix. Finally we couldn't stand it anymore (I mean really, a furnance should work as it is suppose to without "jiggling a wire"). I searched Angie's List for someone that dealt with our make of furnance and found Air Vista. I gave them a call and explained the problem. It was right before the holiday and he said unfortunately he couldn't get out to us until after Thanksgiving but if we needed someone out sooner (it was a cold November) he could recommend some else. I said after Thanksgiving was fine. He called the day of the appointment to confirm the time and showed up when he said he would. I showed him the furnance and explained the "jiggle the wire" thing. He said he could fix it. I was so relieved. He replaced the switch that same day. He called us a week later to make sure everything was still okay. We would definitely hire him again. An excellent job and very professional.
