Description of Work: They repaired the furnace. I don't know what parts were replaced. They did have to come back and go up on the roof and replace all the air vents. Because they were running later for our scheduled appointment, they did not charge for the air vent replacement. I don't remember what their overall charge was... only know it was a fair price. They were very friendly, and when I expressed concern about the possibility of some of our roof tiles being broken during the air vent replacement, I was assured that the young man responsible for the repairs was quite small and very careful. They did a fine job and I am very happy with their service. My furnace is working perfectly.

Description of Work: I called Air Vista because my 35 year old furnace had pooped out. The owner, Gary, arrived promptly the next morning and did a thorough inspection of my furnace, ducts and vents. He explained in detail what needed to be done in a manner that I could understand. He told me he could install the unit the next day and gave me a quote. I felt his quote was very reasonable and almost committed immediately to have him do the work. However, a friend was bringing in his buddy who has a heating company to give me a quote. Only because the other person was a friend was I able to get a lower price so I elected to have him do the work. But I would hire Gary from Air Vista in a heartbeat to do work in the future because of his honesty and professionalism.

Description of Work: We have a 1998 A/C system that has performed flawlessly until just recently when it stopped blowing cold air after a few hours. Gary returned my call within a few hours same day and basically diagnosed our problem over the phone. (probably need freon) We set a date for him to come out and check out our unit. He arrived on time and was right about his diagnosis. He did the work then and there and when my husband didn't have a check for him, he trusted us to mail it to him. I didn't call any other contractors because the reviews on Air Vista were so positive. This is probably the second review I've written on anything ever. Very good experience.

Description of Work: Our HVAC stopped working on a very hot Saturday. We left a message for the company that installed our system when our home was new 9 years ago and didn't receive a call back. Gary from Air Vista (highly rated on Angie's List) picked up the phone when we called him. He told us he couldn't get out to see us until Tuesday and understood if we wanted to try someone else that could come out earlier. We didn't have any luck with anyone else so my wife called Gary back on Monday morning. Again, he picked the phone right away. He said he would be out the next day at noon and arrived at the time he said. He fixed the unit with a part called a capacitor. He wasn't able to verify that it was the proper part number so he told us he would confirm and return the next day with the correct part if neeed. He confirmed with Lennox, the manufacturer that he needed a different part and returned the next day at the time he said he would with the correct part. He installed the correct part and charged us $250. The part cost plus $90 labor (after making two trips to our home. We would highly recommend Air Vista. Gary was responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. Thank you Gary and Air Vista.

Description of Work: My air conditioning unit was making a terrible noise -- I thought the motor was going to die. Gary came out the same day I called him because he had a cancellation. He found the problem (a branch got into the unit), changed the filter, and made some recommendations which I agreed to (he did not hard sell me on anything -- just made recommendations that would save me money and aggravation in the long run). He is very professional, friendly, and honest. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: When our renter's furnace died @ season's 1st cold spell, I spent many hours researching angies list for the best qualified hvac contrators. Im very detail oriented and want the BEST when it comes to furnace installation, due to all the safety parameters involved. Gary was at the top of my list; 1. He installs and utilizes a good variety of quality manufacturers 2. more important, due to all his past ++++ feedback. He came out promptly, gave a prompt & excellent detailed bid, and was very personable. The ONLY reason we didnt choose him was the fact that our second choice. could do the installation at an earlier date. But for the timing, I would have chosen Gary.
