Rick's Pool Service Inc

Please notify consumers to use caution when dealing with this company. They were hired to clean our pool, which they did. They also told us we needed new filters, so we purchased those too. We were not living in the house, so my husband would make appt. to meet with them at the property. One time they were 45 min. late and on another occasion, they failed to show at all. Both Rick and his son would complain to my husband about deadbeat customers, money and they always wanted to know when they were getting paid. We were sent a bill (to the wrong address, but we eventually got it) with a 30 day pay schedule. Even though we did not get the bill in a timely manner, we were still able to make the payment within the 30 day window. I sent Rick's a check for the pool cleaning. In the meantime, we had them replace and install new pool filters. My husband gave Rick's our credit card number, with specific instructions to ONLY charge the filters and replacement cost -- not the cleaning, since I had already sent the check for that. Well, it turns out they charged the ENTIRE amount (for both the cleaning and filter job) on the credit card. According to Rick's, they felt we took too long to pay for the cleaning, so that was their reasoning for charging both jobs on the card. When I pointed out to the office manager (Rick's wife?) that I paid within the 30 day window, she admitted she sent out the wrong type of invoice. We should not have been sent a "30 day" invoice, but rather a "Pay immediately" invoice. I pointed out we were not in charge of the type of invoice they should or should not send! I also reminded them that we were not living in the property with the pool -- this was obvious since the house was being completely remodeled, the entire place was gutted! When I requested a copy of the credit card invoice (which we did not sign!), someone at Rick's (I believe it was the office manager/wife) wrote in the signature line "Phone authorization", which we did not give. Warn consumers to never give their credit card to this company unless they have a copy of the charge slip to sign in person! We do not want to work with Rick's ever again.
