Let me start off with this review is my own personal experience with this company. Goff Construction, came highly recommended from others that had used them. My family met with Wayne and they hired him/the company to construct a Gazebo and to paint the gazebo along with a patio cover and certain portions of the inside of our porch. Wayne stated that all the work should take no more than three days. Day one, Thursday, went well aside from Wayne saying that the bank was going to put a hold on some of the funds from our deposit. The men showed up with the materials and began constructing the gazebo. During this time, one of his other men started painting the inside of our porch area white. This individual got white paint over parts of our blue paneling both inside the porch and outside the porch. Instead of trying to fix it with the some of the paint that was going to be used to paint the gazebo and patio cover, same blue, he just left it. Now, everyone can see white sloppy paint on the blue paneling on the front of our house.After the gazebo was put up, the structure minus the roofing, the men began painting it. They got paint all over the foundation. They knew that they did because there were swirly marks from someone trying to wipe up the mess. Day two was a Friday. They didnà ¢à  à  t show up. It wasnà ¢à  à  t until after noon time that Wayne sent a text stating that they would have to travel a long way to get the roofing for the gazebo. He asked if he could come and continue the following day-Saturday. We said yes.Saturday comes and guess what? No-showed again. It wasnà ¢à  à  t until we reached out to Wayne that he said he was sorry and that they had to finish up another job in Lake Arrowhead first. I donà ¢à  à  t remember the exact day, I want to say it was Wednesday, Wayne showed back up. He dropped off two workers and told us that he would be back later as he had to go down to L.A. to give an estimate. Wayne also asked for an additional $300 for the patio cover because it looked tedious and he could get the remainder of the balance paid since he didnà ¢à  à  t know if heà ¢à  à  d be back in time. He stated that he stands behind his work and if anything needed to be fixed, he was a man of his word. Unfortunately, we gave him the final balance plus the $300 in a check. Again, he made a comment about the bank putting a hold on the amount.The two men that he dropped off continued with the painting of the porch and then proceeded to the backyard to install the roofing and to paint the patio cover. The paint job on the patio was horrible! I understand that the patio cover was a little tricky but come on. You guys are supposed to be professionals. The painting looked like a kindergartener painted it. The men got both white paint and blue paint all over our patio cement. They had blue paint blotched/wiped on the white paint and then the same with the white on blue. The posts that were blue had white splatter all over them along with big white paint drips. Some of the boards werenà ¢à  à  t even painted which brings up the top of the patio. They never painted it! At the end of the day, my father had come from work. The workers were still there. He looked at the job and mentioned a couple things. He specifically asked one of the painters about how they painted the top of the patio cover. The painted said he rolled it. That was a lie! He never painted it.My father had reached out to Wayne. It took a few days to get a response from him. When he replied he said that he had a family emergency. Wayne said that he would text my father back in couple days which would have been on a Sunday. Wayne never replied that Sunday and as of now, three weeks later, there has been no message or communication from him.I personally reached out via Facebook messenger to Wayne asking him when he was returning to fix the problem. We hired Wayne many years ago. At time, the old Wayne, the father also worked on the contrustion. They did a great job for a massage SPA in the promised timeline. Then we hired them to build a ADU but then old Wayne got sick and young Wayne has taken over the job. Then it took almost 4 years to get the permit for the ADU. And the windows were never replaced for the front house even if we paid in advance 4 years ago. Despite of this, I still choose to believe young Wayne and asked him to remodel my daughter's house in San Diago. Young Wayne asked me to pay a total of $63K but then he walked away from the project. I was very much understanding him and treated him very nice and have supported him, treating his like my family memeber. He promised he would do a good job this time. But he completed only around 10% of the project and walked away from this project. I gave him so many chances to gain back his original repututaion back to 2018 (with his father) He phone shut down and did not answer my text or phone calls. This young Wayne cannot be trusted. Now I have to pay somebody to finish the job. This cause a big damage on me financially. Mentally I feel sad, and I feel sad for him. What a pity and what a man.I am very much disappointed. I am going to file a complain. possibly legal action as well.

We hired Goff to build a new home, they told us they have over 40 years of experience and can complete the job within 6-7 months because it is a small job (less than 1100 sq ft). Do not let the other good reviews fool you, they are inexperienced and have no knowledge of building from ground up. They quit and did not finish the job, took our money, left us with over $150k plus in damages! We got an expert report done and they found a lot of mistakes that cost us a lot of money to fix. Wayne is inexperienced and his wife Cournti needs to learn how to speak with customers - she does not know how to run a business and always complain about being sick. They lied to us every stage of the project, empty promises. Please hire someone else and RUN from Goff Construction Inc. Do not let the 5 stars reviews fool you. CSLB found multiple violations from their work and claims filed against them. Potential lawsuit.

Goff Construction provided the â extrasâ by way of ideas and work that turned my remodel into my dream kitchen. They are great folks, easy to communicate with and responsive to any questions that came up. They were prompt and courteous. It was a great experience.

They were very professional and polite and very accommodating. Gave suggestions. I was very pleased with the service and yes I would hire them again and I have used them a couple times already.

A pleasure to work with. They listened to my needs and came up with an innovative idea to update my kitchen. I absolutely love it!

Wayne and his crew cleaned up after themselves, which was super important to me. No mess was left behind in my home. Looking forward to my next project. I will be hiring them to do it. Great work and would definitely recommend them!

Straight Up Construction went above and beyond what our expectations were and made sure everything worked as it should. They are a family owned and operated business and take pride in all of their work. It was enjoyable doing business with them....We will use them for future projects

Small company with a customer is right attitude. Honest and easy to work with. I am very picky about tile work and Alex met all my expectations! My bathroom remodel looks like it came out of a magazine!

Any large renovation project can be stressful, but Wayne and his team made it happen. They were able to come up with many last minute situations to the smallest details. The job looks great, making the house look newer and up to date.
