Robert came to the house to look at/ fix the heater. I happened to mention that I almost missed our appointment because I got caught up reading my book. He thought it was odd that I was out reading a book in the middle of the day and, not that it was any of his business, but I explained that I went out to run errands, drop the kids at school, etc. and had stopped to grab a bite to eat (and, since I was eating along, I pulled out my book to read). He then asked, in a shocked voice, what kind of school was open in the middle of the summer. I told him my kids were young and went to part-time day care a few days a week, and that the day care was year-round. This is when he said to me, "Oh, they write books about women like you." I laughed uncomfortably and said, "They do? What do you mean?" and he said "Oh, you know, those women who drop their kids off at daycare so that they can go out and have fun." I mean, really? He knows nothing about my life, or what I do. And even if he did jump to false conclusions about me, it is completely unprofessional for him to say something like that to my face. Somebody like this can't be trusted in your home, with your loved ones around. He is disrespectful and rude. I warn all of you away from him. Stay away!
