Healdsburg Pool Service was opened in 1979 by John and Sandie Camilleri as a small, family operation run out of their Healdsburg home. Due to their great reputation for hard work and extensive pool and spa knowledge, the Camilleri’s quickly found themselves expanding. In 1982 they hired their first employee and opened their first retail store, and have been growing ever since.
Over the years, Healdsburg Pool Service has continued to develop into a well established and respected business offering the highest quality service to the residences of northern Sonoma County. The Camilleri's now find themselves with a full service retail store and a staff of six. Although the business has grown, John and Sandie maintain the same family atmosphere and attitude they began with over 30 years ago. They truly appreciate their customers and have a genuine love for the community.

This is indeed a shocking situation. I had perfect service once a month from this company for many, many years. In particular, the young man who came out to clean my pool was thorough and friendly and always left me with a sparkling pool. This went on for years and years. Suddenly, last month he left the company and I had a new fellow cleaning the pool. Long and short of it, without going into all the details, he was in and out of here in fifteen minutes and when he left the pool was as dirty as when he came. The water was greenish, the water edge was unbrushed and had spider webs, small leaves, etc., only one of the filter baskets had been emptied ~ the more important of the two was FULL of leaves and had I not checked it it would have put a bad strain on the motor. There was silt on the steps and it was clear to me from this, and the streaks on the bottom that he had not been careful about running the vacuum down the pool and back. As there was no product (usually I am left with four or eight gallons of bleach each time), I thought perhaps he had left my home to pick up supplies and would be back. When he didn't show up in the next hour, I called the company. This was a fairly terrible experience as the woman in the office said that the new guy had "spent the full amount of time allotted to him by the company and just couldn't get around to everything". I was shocked. I had been unaware that they did work against the clock. The previous guy seemed to just efficiently go though the process, each job in turn, and leave when the job was done. When I said this to the woman, she said that she suspected that my previous "prince of pool cleaners" had customarily spent more time than he should have on my pool. I suggested that since the new guy was unfamiliar with the site and the routine, perhaps he should initially be given more time until he felt comfortable with the routine. She said that this was NOT being considered by the company and that if I didn't like the status quo, I should perhaps go elsewhere. Which, needless to say, I have done. I can think of NO reason whatsoever for using Healdsburg Pool Cleaning at this point in their history. In fact, if others are having the sorry experience I had, I doubt the company will stay in business! Not only was the service abominable, but the attitude of the people in charge was horrific; very rude and unaccountable. This is so sad, as I had been so happy with them for many, many years. fre
