Stone Ect. installed Caesarstone countertop on my Ikea kitchen cabinets. They finished within 3 hours and were very professional through the process. Everything was straight, level and I can barely notice the seams. One thing I would recommend Stone Ect. is to buy a better shopvac with some type of fine dust filtration. As the crew was cleaning up, the exhaust of their shopvac blew dust all around the house. I don't think they noticed it but eventually had to wipe down everything in the kitchen. Other than that I think they did a great job with the installation and I would use them again.

Yikes. These guys will say anything to make a sale. Promised we'd have our material by early September, then that changed till October. Said the installation would take 4 days, however failed to mention that that didn't include 10 business days of lead time they needed from demolition to install. so all told the 1 week project was becoming 14 days (then when I said i was going to cancel it magically became 8 days, oh, and the material magically showed up in Los Angeles early). There were a number of other issues with scheduling, phone calls not returned, and round-about transfers through their phone system. All in all, I'm glad I cancelled, but still annoyed that they charged me a cancellation fee too boot.

First of all, it took a week and a half to get someone to measure for the counter tops. Then, it was another two weeks until they could come out for the install. These guys were hired by the cabinet place that I went through for my kitchen remodel, so I didn't really have any choice in this matter. On installation day, they inspected my new sink thoroughly to see if there were any pre-existing scratches. They just saw some in the corners, which I was aware of. They did the job quickly and left quickly. They had me sign a form that said no damage had been done to the sink. I checked it and it didn't look like there were any scratches. After they left, I went and measured the counter tops. It was almost comical that lengths on either side of two of the pieces were consistently off by 1/8 of an inch. A raised bar top on an island was put on crooked and was obvious when looking at one end. Clearly, they're more concerned with doing the job quickly rather than double checking their job and making sure that it's done correctly the first time. The night following the initial installation, I turned on the lights in the kitchen and was able to see several scratches in the sink (this was a brand new sink). They weren't visible in lower light when I had looked at it earlier in the day after the installation. No one else had handled the sink besides these installers. They came back a couple days later to fix the crooked bar top. I had them measure the bar top and the island surface, showing that each had lengths off by 1/8". When I said that that should be corrected, I was told "That's a lot of work." Then, I told them about the scratches in the sink and showed the scratches to them. They completely denied any responsibility for these scratches. I called their manager the next day and got the same story. They weren't going to pay for the brand new sink that they ruined. They tried to blame it on my contractor who had done some tile work, but he had covered the sink up with paper before doing any work. So, nice try there. After I explained everything to them they told me that since I signed the form that the sink wasn't damaged, they said that it was my fault for not looking closer for the scratches. Had I turned on the kitchen lights to see the scratches after their install, I wouldn't have signed the form. Now, I'm in a position where I'll obviously have to buy a brand new sink, get another company to pull up the counter top and install the new sink. Don't use this company. They'll waste your time, they'll waste your money and they don't pay attention to detail.

They were professional and easy to use. I would recommend my friends to them anytime.
Description of Work: I contract Stone Etc. through another firm in South San Francisco. Had I known, I would have just went straight to them. They installed my Caeserstone Blizzard countertop. My kitchen is very small so the cost per square foot is more expensive. The person who came to measure was very professional and took pictures to make sure everything was there should be there. In addition, he told me what needed to be done before the actual countertop installers came - i.e. make pathway as open as possible. The countertop installers were very professional and ask questions along the way. They wanted to make sure I was satisfied before they sealed up the countertop.

They did a really good job and it looks really good. They were the cheapest and another contractor couldn't come within $1,000 of them. It was definitely worth going with them but we had to wait because we went with them and not our contractor's person. It pushed the schedule back two weeks. You do have to wait but to save $1,000 it was definitely worth it. They did a really nice job and we had one problem where we thought they were not going to be able to line it up against the window the right way and I was really worried but he figured it out and it worked. It looks great.

After shopping around, we decided to get CaesarStone countertops. We went to a few places and quotes ranged from $3,800-$5,600. While it would be hard to resist a price that good, we were getting it through Gilman's, which is a long-established and reputable firm. We were still a little nervous that it was too good to be true and we might end up with big ugly seams or some other horror. Our new countertops look great! Everything fit perfectly, so the guy who measured did a great job. But mostly I loved the installer who was very professional and very detail-oriented. The seams are virtually transparent ? you really have to know where to look for them. The outlet cutouts are amazingly precise. It is very impressive. And besides that skill set, his customer service skills are EXCELLENT! He has a wonderful demeanor. He was cordial and personable at all times, and when our contractor showed up, the installer strategically took on a somewhat (but not quite) deferential demeanor so the contractor could be all macho and such, yet he didn't allow himself to be pushed around. It was very impressive. They all arrived at our home on the very early end of the scheduled windows and went about their jobs professionally and courteously. It was really a pleasure working with Stone Etc.
