PRECISION DOOR SERVICE

Called for an estimate for an older garage door. When he arrived, he would not approach the house I had to get his attention inside his truck. His visit took 20 minutes. He took a very brief look at the door, took a couple measurements, said door is non repairable and was quick to ask for the 70 dollar service fee, leaving me the only option to pay for a full door replacement for 8k with no other solution or even interest in fixing the door. The lady on the phone made it seem plausible you get service fee reduced if repairs could be made. He just did not have any interest or make any effort in repairing the door or reducing the service fee even though he only glanced at it. Quite a hefty fee for 350 dollars an hour for a door assessment. I do not recommend this business.

My garage door opener had locked up in the closed position. When activated it would just buzz, buck for a second and shutdown. Precision sent a technician who immediately declared I needed a new opener. The ones he could sell me had all kinds of unnecessary bells and whistles (including a camera) and cost approximately $1000. I declined and instead ordered one from Lowe's for $350 installed. Out of curiosity I took down the old opener and saw that the only problem was that the cable connected to the chain had slipped off of its wheel. This could have been put right in approximately 5 minutes. I don't know if this was attempt at thievery or simply incompetence but either way I'm extremely disappointed.

James was on time ( this time) And took care of the problem with very professional advise - completely stress free And fast !

I'd use Paul Brinkman and his assistant again without hesitation. They came out the same day, rescued our cars from the garage in seconds and were all done with their recommended work in a little over two hours. I was worried that they'd want to replace more than was really necessary but they gave us three options and even the most expensive one was clearly, in my entirely unqualified opinion, warranted. They replaced both springs, the roller they were on and the associated pulleys and cables, along with the pins and bearings between the door and its track, then tightened and lubricated everything. It was more expensive than I'd imagined but not eye-wateringly so and the components used were visibly upgrades. If the replacement lasts just ten years, a third as long as what it replaced, the cost will amortize to peanuts.

The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and professional in setting up the appt. James called to tell me he was 10 minutes away. Assessed the situation and gave me two options for the work to be done, with clear pricing information, before he started. Kept to the task and my door now goes up and down easily with its new parts. Cleaned up after himself and removed his garbage. Very nice person.

Jerry Parker did a really great job. He arrived 10 minutes early and was done in 1/2 hour. Our door is smooth and silk and very quiet now.

Yesterday, my wife hit the Home Link by accident (thus closing the garage door) while backing up our Tesla X out of garage without looking at the rear view screen. The door was damaged badly, bulging out extensively and could not close or open, but left a gap for animal or people to squeeze in. Precision's desk manager was very considerate and arranged a same-day service in the late afternoon. She sent a senior mechanic, James W., who came soon after. James restored the door into near original shape with full functions in a couple hours. He also went over patiently the options on replacing with a new door. James was a friendly and highly capable mechanic, he did an excellent job. We are grateful to Precision for heeding our emergency call for help in a stressful situation, came quickly and stay late to finish the job. We highly recommend James and Precision in our neighborhood chat group and to all our friends and relatives

Our garage door stopped working when one of the hinges broke. I called Precision because of their great reviews, and now I can why they got them! Brandon was out to see me first thing the next morning. He was on time, gave me an estimate and fixed it within the next 90 minutes. The garage door works like new with nearly all the parts replaced (after 40 years!). Brandon showed me how and what to lubricate every 6 months for some basic care and reminded me that they have a 5 year guarantee too. Thanks Brandon!

Not only was Precision Door Service easy to call (live service, real person on the line who asks all the right questions) and schedule a repair for a broken spring (and other things) but Jerry's passion and care put me at ease. I like to repair what I can but I know something like this is beyond my skillset. Precision Door Service gave me a window from 3-7 pm to be available when I called and advised me I'd be getting a call from the technician about 30-45 minutes before estimated arrival. Not like I out running errands but the heads up was great as I wanted to make sure I ate before the arrival. Jerry's experience and inspection never made me feel rushed and I could tell he is a trustworthy and knowledgeable repairman. He also walked me through other parts that needed or would need repair and I can't even begin to describe how comfortable I felt after issues were brought to my attention. Brandon Brooks from Precision Door did a great job. We live in a San Francisco Victorian. We wanted to replace our old garage door opener with a smart opener for better home security. Our existing door is solid but was worn and in need of repair to the door itself, spring, bearings, and rollers. Due to the age of the house and the door and the extent of prior structural improvements around it, this was a tough job. Old bolts were stripped, and clearances were narrow. Brandon tackled the challenges doggedly, and his workmanship and attention to detail were great. We couldn't be happier.
