PRECISION DOOR SERVICE

Our garage door came off the track today. We immediately called Precision Door Service. They were able to get us on the schedule within a few hours. The Technician (Sheridan) let us know how much it would cost up front. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly as well. The repair didn't take very long and it sound better than ever. Awesome service!

My service technician, Brandon Brooks did an exceptional job on my garage door. He clearly explained the problem with my door and reasons that certain parts had to be replaced. He was professional and completed the job as needed. I am extremely satisfied with the work done and noticed a significant difference in the way of my garage door now opens (i.e, more quieter and runs more smoothly). Our technician Brandon was on-time and quickly diagnosed several issues, beyond the obviously broken spring, on our garage door. He explained clearly how various parts had been prematurely worn due to an undersized spring that had been previously installed. He went above and beyond to work around and protect a car that we were unable to move in the garage and then also lubricated and tuned both the main door that he was fixing AND our third garage door and opener. Truly outstanding customer service in my opinion.

Our former garage door company went out of business, so we called Precision. They sent James W the following day. He was on time, pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. He installed a new opener, serviced the spring, hinges, and rollers, programmed the remotes and keypad. Everything is working perfectly, and we are very pleased with the service we received! Great and quick job. With 0 surprises. We had previously arrange (and paid before hand) the job with Home Depot but their installation company came in and rejected to set up the automatic garage door opener with some weird excuses. Paul came in today Saturday, assessed the situation and set the automatic garage door opener súper quickly. We are very pleased, works great.100% recommended

James W and Eric from PRECISION OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR SERVICE of Hayward/San Jose were terrific. They came out as an emergency call because a different installer had totally botched the job on the prior day. Would you believe the door opener was programmed in REVERSE - thinking the door was down when it was up. The original installer told me that the automatic door locking mechanism "would not work if opener is installed on the right side of door" WRONG. But James and Eric has to work from 10 AM to 4 PM to correct all the problems. If you call Precision - be sure to demand that James W is dispatched to your job.

James W. assisted us with great skill and pride in his ability. We have always been happy with Precision. We will be happy to see James again.

Called mid-day and got an appointment for the next morning. James W. was assigned to my repair call. He was right on time, polite and knowledgeable. He pointed out exactly what I needed, plus made a recommendation for another maintenance item that might be needed. I probably would have done it if it was a more heavily used garage door. No problem, no hard sell, repair completed in less than an hour. Very happy and will use again if I ever need another repair.

This is an outstanding company! We have been a customer of Precision Door for almost 20 years, Startring with a door/opener purchase in 2000, and followed by a purchase of a replacement door/opener in 2015. We have used them for all required service calls as well. Our most recent service was excellent as always. Perfect scheduling. James W. our service technician was very professional who arrived on time, and performed the repair in the estimated time with the highest quality. They have my highest recommendation.

Excellent experience from end to end. Quick to return my call for a quote, scheduled a technician visit for the very next day. The technician (Paul Brinkman) was very proactive letting us know about his progress in getting here. We initially thought we were going to just get a sensor repaired/replaced, but our garage door opener was so old that it made sense to just replace the system. Received a quote for the work up front, and we paid what was quoted. Paul made quick work of it, and cleaned up very well after himself. He set the system up for us (wall unit, keypad, remotes, mobile app) and walked us through thoroughly. We're quite satisfied with his service and the company. Had a critical issue with my garage door. James W came out the same day, diagnosed the issue, offered advice on the options to fix it, and did a quick, efficient job fixing a poorly installed (by an unknown previous company) garage door. Now it opens quietly and I rest assured knowing the hardware is better designed to deal with the load of the door. Great service and quick. Would recommend!

Expensive but good. Glad it could be done in ONE day. We were hoping it could be fixed but technician said it had to be replaced. Hope that was true - chose not to spend more time to get other estimates. We had been twice rescheduled by another company - that is when we called Precision.

Brandon B. did a great job repairing our broken garage door. The bearings on the door had failed causing the track to significantly bend and some wheels to fall off the track. He managed to straighten everything back to normal, replace the bearings and balance the door. Works like new! Great service at a fair price.

He was easy to talk to, efficient, and friendly. He even cleaned up after the job was completed. If we ever have to call Precision Door again (we hope not!), Brandon will be our go-to guy.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS Precision came out and arrived on time, and then it went downhill. My garage door stopped working, and after hearing me describe the situation, the tech, Sheridan, began telling me everything that was wrong. First he said the motor was shot. Then it worked, so he said it was the chain. But that was clearly moving, so he said it was the door track. But there was no visible damage, so then it was the mounting. Then he told me that the whole thing was improperly installed and couldn't be repaired. He said that the ONLY way to fix it would be to create clearance to mount it properly by *shrinking the size of the opening*. He wanted to install 2x4s on either side, which would of course require him to sell me a smaller door, and then he'd need to replace the motor as well to comply with a new battery back-up law. His verbal estimate: $2800 As he was leaving, he actually asked if I'd write him a positive review on Yelp! Amazing. I called another company (found through Costco) and he diagnosed problem. One hour and $160 later and the door works just fine. I told them the story of Precision Door and he just shook his head and laughed and said, "I'm glad you didn't fall for it." Worst part was, I paid Precision $50 for the inspection. I paid $50 for them to lie to my face.

Great service. Excellent repair. I was stunned that they could schedule the repair for the same day as I called at noon. The technician, Brendon, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and quick. He showed me what to maintain, the product to use and suggested every 6 months as I live by the ocean. 5 stars!!!!!

My garage door spring broke on Friday. James W. came over Saturday after 3 at my request He showed me all the workings of my door and recommended other updates to keep my door working great. The service was professional and very fast. I recommend them for any of your garage door needs. The door is no quieter and works great!!
