James called before he came, and after seeing the situation, raised my garage door to the highest it would go, Then, he inspected the door to find out the reason for the noise. We have a double door, and it needed more support in the middle to help it rise, (a strut) as well as new stronger springs and several other parts and work, necessary, to make it stronger and function properly. He explained the reason for all work, was extremely helpful, and did a terrific job fixing my door. I would highly recommend him and his company to anyone.

James called prior to the appointment window to inform me when he would be arriving. That is always helpful so I could better plan my day and he showed up when he said he would. It ended up that in addition to the garage door springs being replaced, we also needed to replace some bearings. James did an excellent job of explaining the problem with the bearings and showed me the affect the bearings had on the tube. He also made some recommendations for work that should be performed at some point in the near future. James made sure he cleaned up all of the tools and old parts before he left. We appreciated the great work! Thanks!

I called Precision Door about an urgent issue I was having with my overhead door. The torque cables were broken, but it was obvious there were some other problems that needed to be explained to me. Pat, the owner, worked with operations ensuring the right technician be sent quickly to assess the situation. The technician's and Pat's professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction as well as their technical expertise were very impressive. This was coupled with patience and respect for me in answering all my questions and helping me understand the situation and my repair options. This family owned business truly values its customers and its reflected in the quality, speed, caring, and expertise of the services they provide. In other words, this company has a heart and expertise that you can count on to deliver quality service whenever you should need it.

The service repairman Cem Forshey was awesome! He was very patient and answer all of my questions regarding my garage door. He gave Five Star Service. I will recommend Precision to family and friends.

Tech James was incredible. He arrived on time late on a Sunday of a 3-day holiday weekend. Diagnosed the problem and made the repairs right there. Problem solved. The new opener is amazing (and quiet)! Precision was excellent.

Garage door spring broke on Saturday morning of a three day weekend. Precision was the only service company that could give me an appointment over the weekend, on Monday evening. On the positive the technician did show up early for his appointment on a national holiday, but he took advantage of the circumstances and tried to charge more than double the going rate for a spring replacement ($570), and then an additional $384 to replace 12 rollers -- which were recently replaced as part of an annual service visit by a reputable garage door service company, at a crazy mark-up to materials cost. I declined the up charge and pushed back on the initial price, finally settling at $370 + tax, which is still $150 more than the going rate, but I needed it fixed and they did come out on a holiday. I will never use this company again and would caution you against using them unless you have competitive quotes.

Took 2 visits to get everything working correctly.

It didn't go at all. They sent someone to take measurements and prepare a bid. Never received bid. When I called I was told the individual left the company, and they asked if they could send someone else and start over. I said ok. Next guy came out and took measurements. A week passed. I called again, and was told they would get the bid to me. A couple weeks passed. Then, as I was about to submit paperwork to my HOA using another contractor, the 2nd guy called and asked if he was too late or could he send in his bid. I foolishly said ok. 2 days later I get the bid - considerably lower than all the others I received. So I said ok, and told him to send me a copy of the quote, and that I would send him a requirement checklist for the new door from my HOA. He said ok. I emailed the checklist, but I never received the quote. I called the individual twice. Left message the first time, spoke to him the 2nd time, and let him know I was still waiting. He said ok. A few more days passed, so I called his office and asked to speak to a manager. The guy I spoke with hemmed and hawed, then finally said I sounded frustrated, and asked what he'd like me to do. When I suggested he light a fire under his guy or assign someone else, he said he could talk to his guy, but wasn't going to make any promises. Went around in circles with the manager until it sounded like he didn't want to do business, then said good riddance.

Installation went great, tech was professoinal and on time.

Initial install was good, but they had to come back four times for post installation fixes . . . Like a bad logic board or a bolt that came loose, software limits that needed to be entered a second time, bent bracket, etc. They never seem to have any spare parts on their trucks. I never saw them test the anti entrapment feature ,which is carefully documented in the factory installation manual. Also, the web based feature of the 8355W requires great patience setting it up the first time, which the owner must do on his own. The four hour window for the installer to show up is a bit of An inconvience.

All the materials were good, the work was good, the installation and all that was good.

They had a person out within 2-3 hours to Santa Cruz county (I called around 10 a.m. on a Friday morning). He was great in telling me what the issue was and my options (replace the springs on one door or replace the two aging side by side garage doors). He replaced the spring (omg! he had the actual spring in his well equipped repair truck!) and answered all my questions. The warranty on the service was excellent and he left a sticker so I could call back if I had any questions. Really pleased and would (and did a few months later - the 2 doors are 18 years old and haven't been well cared for by previous owners - when a rotor broke on the other door ... same great service!)

He came to my home, I showed him the door opener and garage door became disconnected because a screw came loose. Without touching or looking at anything he said that these springs needed to be replaced and the service would be $120 to reconnect the door opener to the door. I told him I did not wish to replace the springs at this time. He screwed in the two screws and said, "that was sure a one minute fix." Asked me again to replace the springs and I refused. He filled out his paperwork, charges me $220 because he was mad that I would not do what he wanted me to do, so he was looking for another way to make money. This workman's name is Paulino. So I paid him, he left, and I called the boss and ripped the boss a new one. He asked what would make me happy and I told him a $100 rebate back to the agreed upon $120 fee. The boss said it would be at least 2 weeks to get the refund blaming it on the credit card company. It's now a week later, so far, no refund.

Update as of 06/09/2017: Shortly after my review I received a phone call from the owner Pat. He listened to my account of the incident and seems to care about the customer service provided by his company a great deal. He offered to replace both of my garage door springs for the price of one and offered to send someone out on the day he called. As it turned out we have a Martin door with lifetime warranty so I needed to go to an authorized Martin dealer. I appreciated Pat's professionalism and quick response to my review. Review posted on 06/06/2017: Looking at the cost for the good ratings so far it appears that perhaps the quality of service goes with how much the customers paid for. My husband was very clear about the problem but the person answered the phone didn't just say they would not do that kind of repair service. Several other companies we called were fine with what we needed but appointment time was further out so we thought we'd give Precision a try. The technician showed up and started pushing for the more expensive parts. Once it was obvious we're not going to go for that he became impatient, and tossed out a "well maybe you can find someone else who can help you" as he walked out. The whole experience was really not pleasant, and can be totally avoided if their operator simply say "we only do expensive repair"...
