What a mess. Once Platinum had the money for the deposit, things went south from a communication, schedule, and price perspective. It kept going down. I worked with Azam to schedule measuring for wood flooring installation. Contractor verified he measured everything as requested. I talked to Azam to confirm enough material to cover 970 SQ FT was being ordered and paid for by me. He confirmed. Weeks later, the trucking company driver calls me out of the blue - as I was walking out the door to the office - saying he would be there with the flooring delivery in 20 minutes. More than two and a half hours later, he shows up without as much as an apology. On the first day, contractor shows up to install, I get a call from Alex saying the order missed all requested rooms on the second floor. Blaming me for the error and needing to order another 155 SQ FT, Alex told me I have to pay more for material and installation or they would stop all work and walk away. That amounts a significant increase in cost. I have dealt with more than 30 contractors this year, spending nearly $200K, and these are the only guys so bold as to blame you for a mistake on their part - let alone a major one - and then demand you pay or say they will walk away and leave you with a mess to clean up.
