Mike Emerson Masonry

We have heard nothing but good things about MIke that he has good craftmanship and skills. Some of work was done by him, some done by an employee. It was overseen by the seller of the home. The work was done so quickly that we were not able to check the surrounding structure of the house to be sure that there was not surrounding damage that also needed to be mitigated (when it was opened up) even though it seemed like it was an option on the quote. I believe this may have been due to a communication issue because this work was complicated by a home sale and time pressure. There were options we would have liked to have followed up on but didn't feel we had a chance so I would just say that clear communication would be important. Also after all was completed, we inspected the work and found that cracked/broken (compromised) bricks were used in the rebuilding of the chimney. We were not consulted in the decision to use compromised materials and this was the reason for the low score on quality of the work. Mike was responsive to our needs for timing due to escrow closing deadlines.
