The service went well. He was deliberate and thorough in his work. There was follow up repair to be done with one range and dishwasher which he did quickly and efficiently after the parts arrived.

He was early by 15 minutes which was perfect! He diagnosed and repaired quickly explaining everything to me as he went went through step by step. He gave me quote which applied to repair. In n out and answered all my questions. Very knowledgable and professional! I will be using Gerold for l my appliance repairs in the future. I was impressed with his fair pricing and professionalism. I have already started recommending him to my family and friends. Dishwasher was not draining. He said it was motor either he could fix or if it went out would need to but new one. Tested it , got motor unstuck! Total repair $70!

He diagnosed the problem over the phone and quoted a reasonable price. He turned up on time and has a friendly and professional manner with many years of experience. It's never nice to fork out money unexpectedly but I never had a moment's doubt I got value for money and would happily use him again for other appliance problems.

I started to have trouble with floor of my freezer several weeks before I called Gerold. Every 2weeks the floor would build up with a layer of ice and then if I didn't remove the ice it would start leaking. I had my neighbor who is a VERY handy handman/carpenter come over and take a look at it. He had no idea what the problem was. He recommended I call Sears which was where I got the freezer from. I looked at my recently expired warranty on the fridge and decided against calling Sears but rather to try someone on Angie's list. I'm sure glad I did. I found Gerold's Appliance service and picked him because of his good ratings and because of the proximity of his business to my house. I called Gerold and as I described what was going on it was clear from his response that he knew what was going on. He told me i had a plugged drain in my freezer. He gave me an estimate over the phone and we scheduled an appt for the next morning. Gerold arrived on time, he was very professional and yet as kind and friendly as he could be. He brought his tools in and went to work. I felt very comfortable with him in my house. He told me and showed me what he was doing as he took apart the bottom of the freezer to access the drain. I asked how he had learned to work on appliances and he said he had worked for Sears as an appliance repair man for years and that is where he learned the trade as a young man. Gerold cleared the plug and put everything back together. It was obvious that he was very skilled and knowledgable about appliances. Gerold gave me a bill which was exactly what his estimate was. On the receipt he wrote 90 days Guarantee. I told him I was very surprised by that but was very pleased to have the guarantee. He said that Sears did the same when he worked for them and he thought it was a good policy. I am thrilled that I picked Gerold's Appliance Service over Sears. I know I saved money while supporting a small local business. I will definitely be calling Gerold's Appliance Service the next time I need a large appliance repaired. Next time I won't wait so long.

Went well. Gerold is efficient, pleasant, and straightforward. He doesn't repair something if it only needs adjustment, unlike some r repairmenI used in the past. I have called on Gerold for at least 10 years and will continue to do so.

Gerold was exactly on time, courteous, economical, knowledgeable (expert), willing to answer questions, and well priced. I would use him at twice his price. Much easier to get it fixed than replaced. I would use Gerold any day to get my current appliances repaired as opposed to spending 2 or 3 times as much to replace with new. The parts were $380 and the labor was $70. A true bargain. The last time he looked at my malfunctioning washing machine. He said it would be cheaper and better to buy a new model. He was right. He didn't even charge me. I did give him $30 for his time anyway. I've used Gerold for the last 15 years. I've found none better.

He is wonderful. He is economical and reliable. I used him first around 18 years ago, and I've continued to use him, as recently as a couple years ago. He knows his stuff in terms of appliances. He also knows when to say no. If you ever need an appliance repair guy I would recommend him. He came out and fixed my oven. He thought it might need to be replaced but since he repaired it, it's been working just fine. He is very straightforward, honest and trustworthy.
