In short: What a terrible experience. Ray Fuller came to my house to give me an estimate on getting my house painted. I learned of his business through my wife who had engaged Fuller Painting to have her school painted and seemed to be a professional and efficient businessman and the only review of this company gave his company an A, so I gave him a shot. He came over and we did a walkthrough of the job and he was very talkative and enthusiastic, telling me of his 20 years of painting experience and seemed very proud that he owned his own company. We signed a contract with 10% down, 50% due upon beginning the work and the balance due upon completion. At first, things went well, with the crew coming over to power wash the house the Friday after signing. They taped and covered the windows in plastic and went to work, leaving the house to dry over the weekend. The crew then disappeared for over a week without any contact from Mr. Fuller with my house shrouded in plastic. I finally called him to find out what the status was and thus began a cycle of: 1. I call Ray to figure out what was happening with my house. 2. He tells me some story about why his crew hasn't been around but we schedule work for the next day morning. 3. The next morning there's no sign of his crew, so I call him again and he gives me some other excuse. We schedule his crew for the next morning. 4. The next morning the crew still hasn't showed up so I call and complain to Mr. Fuller and he sends a crew over to do some work. He promised two coats of paint on my house and when he said he was finished, there were two three-foot long patches on the trim that clearly hadn't seen even the first coat. I would then have to call Mr. Fuller and complete steps one through four above to get a crew back out to "finish", only to discover another patch of missing paint. At one point, his man gave me a roll of tape and said that I should just walk around the house and mark the spots that they'd missed. During the third or fourth callback (about week four of this ongoing saga), he had the nerve to ask for the balance of payment because he felt the job was done. I was hesitant because I knew something else would crop up that I would have to call them back on, and I was worried that once I paid them I'd never see them again. I told him that the balance of the contract was due only after completion and he got very angry with me and started going on about his word is his bond and so forth and we stood on the street in front of my house arguing about money. We ended up splitting the balance due. After two more callbacks to have them fix missed areas and to give him the final payment, I was done with Ray Fuller and have never felt like such a chump in my life. About two weeks ago, I noticed that a side door to our house had barely a single coat of paint on it with large spots of the original primer still exposed and was tempted to call Mr. Fuller to come back and finish the job, but decided to write this review instead. As it turns out, the paint on my wife's school is already peeling off after only three months. Courtesy of Fuller's Painting
