CUSTOM CRAFT URETHANE

Description of Work: Custom Craf Urethane was selected to put a foam roof on our Eichler home in San Jose, ca. We also included the installation of bathroom fan vents in the ceilings of each bathroom, and the replacement of one skylight. Keith Nokes was very thorough in understanding the project as a whole and made judicious recommendations about the repair of one skylight other bidders had said would need replacing. He also offered to leave the gravel from our tar and gravel roof in a pile by the curb so as to enable us to use the gravel in our landscaping. This was his idea and after hesitating to take on this project of moving all the gravel to the areas where it would be useful, we agreed and were very happy we did. Keith also made recommendations for the choice of the bathroom vents. We went with his choice and have to say that the extra motor power is great to clear out the moisture promptly even though the motor is a little noisier than I would have liked. All in all his working crew was considerate and hard working. There were a few glitches here and there and the cleanup might have been a little more thorough. In consideration for this Keith gave us a break on the cost he had initially quoted. Keith came back one month after the roof was installed and this was right after the first downpour of the fall season. He inspected his work and found that he will want to apply additional foam material in the areas where ponding was still present (over the garage and in a couple of overhang areas. We agreed that this work would take place next March 2016 as the conditions for doing the work now with temperatures so low were not ideal. I found communication with Keith to be easy and prompt. After his initial two visits before the prep work was to be done (removing the gravel and securing the old roof), we communicated primarily via email which suited me well. Keith is a professional with expertise beyond roofing and we very much appreciated his contractor's eye. For example he also replaced a ceiling board that had been damaged by termites in the past. The work was completed on time and we are happy with the work.

Description of Work: They completely re-roofed my home.

Description of Work: Had a long-term problem with leaking skylights that were not installed properly by the previous roofer. Also, roof vents needed to be raised because they were also leaking. Custom Craft built up the curbs and replaced the vents. They also solved a wire continuity problem to one of the vent fans. They then applied polyurethane foam. Finally applied some plywood sheathing to repair some damage to the soffit boards.

Description of Work: Crew applied foam polyurethane overcoat to existing composition roof. This required a primer coat and the foam coat. The foam can be applied in varying thickness, so this attribute was used to correct some ponding problems.
