ABC did not respond to my email inquiry so after a week I called and reached them and an appointment was immediately set up. The technician was very helpful and professional, all I had was a failed termostat and $59 for this diagnosis was a very reasonable price. I would have really liked ABC to have reasonably priced thermostats so I could buy it directly from them and have the technitician install it. But the thermostats they were so overpriced that I bought it on my own and installed it myself. I would consider using ABC again for the professionalism of their technician but I would be cautious about the price of products they are selling.

They inspected the unit and provided us a few options (repair, replace) and what the expected cost was for each as it related to our situation.

We would use them again in the future.

I just bought a house and discovered the furnace was not functional. I called a couple of places for a quote. The price was about the same for all of the quotes. I chose ABC because from the moment I called to request a quote to finishing the job everyone has been nothing but friendly, extremely knowledgable, and professional. Alan was the lead guy for my furnace and he has been with ABC for 17 years. To me, that speaks volumes about how a company treats its employees and overall job satisfaction. Alan was absolutely lovely to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend ABC to anyone for HVAC and plumbing needs.

They not only diagnosed the problem, but they're smart and carry common parts on their trucks so they were able to fix it on the spot. My aunt told me that she was happy because she was concerned about the chill and the heater had never worked so well. Paid with CC over the phone, everyone was happy. Very helpful and personable phone work as well.

Mike was on time and extremely professional. He was upfront about not being able to help with our job because of scope and timing issues. Gave tons of transparent feedback and even offered to help make sure we don't get ripped off by others. We will be calling ABC and Mike in the future if the need ever came up.

Sal from ABC Cooling and Heating came a day after I called the company (I got an appointment with them 5 minutes after sending the email requesting an appointment). He was professional and pleasant. He explained to me how to clean the filters in my furnace and how to install them back in place, thus saving me $200. I appreciated his advice, as I really didn't want to spent that money on him simply just washing the filters, a do-it-yourself job, if the home owner is able to do it. At the end, we were able to replace a bad capacitator and figure out that the compressor worked just fine with this new part. I paid $234 for the capacitator, $59 for the home visit and labor and got 10% off as a member of Angie's list. I am not sure if it was a good price or not for the capacitator (I didn't check prices online), but I was perfectly happy with the job and Sal. I think that $59 was a good price for the labor, considering that you have to pay this fee anyways for the diagnostic/home visit.

I found a puddle of water in my garage coming from my air conditioning unit. ABC came out quickly identified the problem and completed the fix. Very efficient and great experience. I had another company on warranty, but didn't like their service and ABC agreed this line should have been cleaned under an annual tune up of the system. I was so happy with ABC's quick service that I will consider an annual warranty contract with them. I will certainly use them again.

I did a detailed search on Angie's List for radiant heating services. The search engine should not have pulled up ABC Cooling and Heating. The person replying to my message gets a 0.5 point ding for not knowing that their company does not work on hot water heating systems. That person was very courteous and professional. The review system requires an overall rating. My rating of B is based on very limited data.

Went well two installers started at about 8:20am and were finished by 3:00 or 3:30pm.

Excellent. They offer a prepay for service and they come 2x's a year for a tune up of your AC and Heating. AC for summer and heating for winter. We find it's a great deal and it keeps our heating and AC working at it's best. They check all the vents, clean the filter and test drive the heater or the AC to make sure there are no issue with fuses and the appliance itself. They also check our water heater to make sure there are no issue either. We also found an issue with our thermostat so we had to call them to replace it. They are always professional and we get a call prior to their arrival so we know when to expect the serviceman. The thermostat was replaced and then then it was tested by the repair man to make sure it was in working order.

Sal was professional and prompt. He went right to work and came back to me promptly. Advised me of the issue and I said go ahead and fix it. I got a 10% discount because I mentioned Angie's List, nice work Angie. I would definitely use them again as they arrived before 24 hours of my request. Great job!!!!!!!!

Fours ago ABC installed a new high-end furnace for us. We paid extra for the 5-year labor warranty to go with the manufacturer's liberal parts warranty. No problem with the installation. Two weeks ago the furnace started making odd noises and acting erratically. We called ABC and Sean showed up within a few days. Sean diagnosed the problem, did some minor maintenance and ordered parts. He returned a few days later (2 days ago), installed the new parts and fixed the problem. The furnace has worked properly since then. We are happy with ABC and Sean.

Last March, we were having our plumbing replaced, and with all the hammering on walls, our old heater just stopped working. It was the kind that is underneath the house. It was from the 1940's and very old. We smelled gas, and PG&E came out and fixed the leak and told us we would have to replace the furnace. It had been leaking carbon monoxide. I called several contractors, and ABC was out at our house the next day. We didn't have time to compare prices, because we were living in the house, and were desperate to get heat. I don 't remember how many days it took for them to come and replace it, but it wasn't more than a few days. They installed two wall heaters in a few hours, less time than they said it would be. They cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. My house is now heated better than it ever has been. They were patient about explaining how to make it work. We hadn't needed to use it much for a lot of months. We had a very warm spring, summer and fall. But in the following January, it started getting seriously cold, and we needed it more. We found that the thermostat wasn't working well. The heater would run till the house got too hot, and then turn off till the house was too cold. I called ABC again and they were out in a couple of days. They replaced the old thermostat with one that works very well, and they did it for free. I would highly recommend ABC.

Called them at 8:30 am on the 26th. Tech showed up at 11 am. Had my heater up and running in 25 min. Very professional tech. Knew his business.

Company responded promptly for my request to schedule appointment. Same day appointment was available, arrived promptly, diagnosed problem and scheduled another appointment to complete repair after ordering parts.

The guy was very nice and earnest. The main thing I needed them to evaluate they didn’t evaluate. He was frustrated because his equipment didn't fit our door and that part of the evaluation was incomplete. I felt their proposal was inaccurate because they didn’t do the fan blower test. The proposal was very expensive and the guy that did the proposal was not that knowledgeable. I felt they just wanted the big job. I felt the deal was not worth it as it didn’t get me the information I thought I was paying for.

I had wanted to find out ways to reduce my electricity usage, so I made an appointment with ABC Cooling and Heating for a Home Energy Audit. But when Allan got here, he realized that I didn't need an audit as I was not seeking a rebate from PG&E. So he walked around and gave me advice about ways to reduce my electricity usage - mainly through changing to LEDs. I am very grateful to Allan and his company. I got valuable information and he was so happy to be helpful. They have my vote as a great company!

I have a contract with them. I had complained that they were not here on time when they had scheduled. The owner called and apologized. He said he would send his best man out so he was responsive. They did a good job. The price was the market price.

When we decided that we were going to replace old furnaces for central heating, we knew that we had to have several estimates in order to assign the job to one company. Prices were quite similar but where ABC stands out was the flexibility and willingness to meet the customer's needs. We also did the energy audit in order to apply for a rebate and had a sense where the house was standing regarding saving energy. ABC Cooling and Heating took the old wall furnaces out, and put a new Carrier heating unit in the attic with fan and all the details including adding an extra circuit to the electrical panel for the fan in the attic.Besides they put 7 duct vents to around the house. Finally, they fixed the connections in the water heater. ABC Cooling and Heating takes care of everything! Their employees are very professional: wear booties in the house, cleaned up very well, worked hard and conscientiously. They respect your property and you! Everyone we talked to is professional, courteous, and cheerful.
