Description of Work: A very old furnace needed replacement - there was a service person available the day after thanksgiving to come and do repair and assessment. Since we have a little one at home, we really appreciated the service over the holiday period. unfortunately, we had to wait about a week for an estimate for a new furnace and about a month afterwards for the installation. The customer service and quality of work are very good and we're glad the new furnace includes a year of maintenance because we know the service check ups will be done properly. i recommend this service provider highly.

Description of Work: Replaced hot water heater. I called on a Sunday after hours and left a message. I had a call back first thing in the morning. They came out early and were done by 11 AM. I t was a bit pricier than I might have wished, but they were were very professional

 + -1 moreI was given a 4-hour arrival window, 8:00 am-noon, and told I would be called when they were on their way. On the day of the service there was no advance call, but Jim arrived around 9:15. He inspected and replaced the furnace filter for an additional $15. He kept things clean by putting shoe covers under the feet of his ladder, and vacuumed the floor when he was done. The whole process took a little over an hour, and was pretty painless.
Description of Work: Jim cleaned all our heating ducts by attaching a vacuum to the furnace and blowing compressed air in all the supplies and the return, for $227 as advertised in the newspaper. I have seen lower rates, but the other companies used invalid contractor license numbers in their ads so I decided to go with ABC.

The cost was a bit higher than other companies, but they worked quickly because we didn't have any heat at all during a very cold period. The only downside was that they install a new thermostat, even though my prior one was rather new and had more functionality than the one they installed.
Description of Work: They installed a new two-stage furnace, 70,000 btu. The cost included an extra $245 to install a 4'' flue because our hold house only had a 3'' flue.

 + -1 moreTwo young men showed up to do the installation, very polite young men. They performed the installation during the terrible heat wave we had in July. I was totally surprised that ABC was able to quote on the AC unit and do the installation in four days! I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get the install done until Late August, which was what I was reading in the paper. The Unit has worked perfectly and we haven't seen a big increase in our PG&E bill.

 + -1 moreVan Go arrived on-time for the free estimate and Jeff, our sales rep, was knowledgeable and straightforward about what our house needed. Van Go's quote was in line with other quotes, but we picked them because they promised an install date weeks ahead of everybody else and the customer service experience was very positive. Andre, our lead service tech, performed the install efficiently, and he cleaned everything up post the job. The inspector called out that an electrical wire needed to be tightened, and Van Go fixed the wire same day.
Description of Work: Installed new Carrier central AC (13 Seer) and Furnace unit (93 AFUE) and upgraded Electrical service to 200 amp from old 100 amp system. Installed new return in living room. The Electrical was performed by a sub-contractor, but was included in the overall quote.

 + -1 moreVan Go installed a Trane AC Unit. Home Depot suggested Van Go where the unit was purchased. They installed the entire system in only a few days. Power was lost due to the extra current drain, however the company promptly came out to change the fuse and got it back up again. I was happy with the overall experience and thought they did a great job and had excellent customer service.
