There was 2 services. One for the big deal audit and one as a result which was a follow up and a repair to the furnace. They were conscientious and professional. They arrived on time. They were responsible and professional. The quality of service was an 'A' particularly on the audit. We had a very professional experience. We had an emergency issue and they came out the same day. I was very grateful for the service. They made it a point to come out because it was very cold weather and our furnace failed. UPDATE 5/17/2013: We came home and our air conditioner was failing. I called on a Sunday morning and someone actually answered the phone and were willing to respond. She was a very cheerful woman and I just feel like this is superior customer service.

They were certainly attentive. They offered a discount on their services based on the fact that we have already spent about $700 on them. I felt that he was trying to work with us and giving us some discount based on what we had already spent for fixing our issue. They are local. He came quickly. We didn't have to wait, he was here that same day. Their prices were competitive. I thought the quality was excellent. We have had a different company the year before and apparently, things weren't done correctly. I felt like this man knew what he was doing.

It worked out very well. They came out and fixed it in minutes. Their pricing was very responsive

I requested a heater inspection. It was working OK, but hadn't been inspected in the 17 years I've owned the home. During the inspection they found that a lot of the ducts had only been attached by tape, had come off, and needed to be re-attached with screws to hold them in place. They also looked at the filters and made size and type recommendations. They delivered more than I expected and left everything clean and neat.

We found them through Angie's List and asked for a quote. They returned promptly with one that was very competitive for a great energy efficient furnace. They installed it in a small space under the crown of the roof in our Mackay home. Great job in a small area.

Craig was very knowledgable and helpful in explaining the cause of the problem. It ended up that some insulation inside the unit broke away and was blocking the airflow. While the unit was open, we had it serviced. The contractor pointed out other historical issues such as the condenser line not draining properly. He tested the drainage line and made recommendations to repair. The entire amount was very reasonable and the unit is in good shape going forward. We also got a discount on servicing the A/C unit later in the year (which it needs) by purchasing a combo package for both the furnace and A/C service. Great job AAA!

Very professional start to finish, communicated pro-actively both the schedule and every step of the onsite work. Left the site clean and went over all the features. Top notch team.

Email response time was very fast, they were able to schedule an appointment on same day of inquiry. The technician was able to answer all my questions and was very courteous.

We had a 20 year old furnace that was malfunctioning. ABC replaced a couple of different parts but that did not solve the problem. We eventually concluded that we needed a new furnace, which we bought from ABC and had them install it. They gave us full credit for the costs we had incurred to try to fix our old one. The ABC repair people were unfailingly polite and on time, but they once brought the wrong part and we had to wait a couple of days for the new one, and they did not check that the water heater pilot light was on when they reconnected the gas after the furnace replacement, entailing one final (free) service call. For these reasons, our "Overall Experience" is good but not excellent. This is a high quality company. They are not the cheapest, but they are conscientious and give good value for money.

From my phone conversation with Gloria in the morning, to the completion of the work by Craig early afternoon, it was a smooth and professional experience. I had a difficult to diagnose problem that I had been working with another company for weeks and still my furnace wasn't working. The technician was very knowledgable and competant. He had the part I needed with him and repaired it. I would highly recommend ABC Heating and Cooling.

This was a fantastic experience. It was certainly educational and something I now wish I had done seven years ago when I bought the house. The ABC folks were knowledgeable, professional and very friendly.

I had a furnace that was intermittently working. The pilot light was on, but the furnace flame would never turn on. I had ABC come by and diagnose the issue. They came by my house within hours of my initial call. They were able to diagnose it as a faulty spark ignition control unit within 10minutes. And then the cost of the replacement came. The unit was $516.00 and I was a little shocked. I agreed to go ahead with the replacement. After looking online I was able to find the exact spark ignition control unit from amazon.com for $103.00. That markup seems a bit ridiculous to me. I will say the service and technician was great. But the cost for the unit was unacceptable.

The home energy audit was thourough and well done for all I could tell. Ultimately it was an estimate for work that I think had a price tag that was a bit too high. All in all, they were professional, I was given the impression that if they did it that it would be done well. We did not go down that path though because the price was a bit too much for us at the time.

I chose this company from Angie's List because it was highly touted and even so, I was still suspect of just how good the service would prove to be in my experience. I called the company and was treated very professionally on the phone. We set up an appointment and a window and the price structure was explained to me up front, which I was impressed with. On the day of the appointment, I recieved a phone call about 30 minutes before the technician showed up - Another Plus. When the technician showed up he was a true professional who took the time to listen to my description of the trouble and who asked me a couple of troubleshooting questions before diving in. In less than 20 minutes he had heater running again. The problem turned out to be something very simple. Due to my lack of knowledge with heaters, he could have told me anything and charged me for any part at any price. Instead, he took the time to explain how he fixed the heater and what I could do in the future to improve efficiency. There was no price gouging and needless to say - I would use ABC again.

After a fiasco with another company, ABC arrived on one day's notice to perform maintenance on our furnace. Kumar arrived in a clean, well maintained van. He did all the work promised in a clean and professional manner. Obviously the fan and motor was filthy and he said he could take it out for $200, but needed to be sure he had no other appointments. I agreed and he called the office then began the process of removing the fan assembly exhibiting knowledge and skill. At the end of the day, Kumar did the job and only charged us $169 for the entire job that also includes another maintenance job next October and comes with a six-month "No Breakdown Guarantee". I can't thank Kumar, Linda and Sue enough for their professionalism and excellent service. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them in the future.

They adjust our heating and air unit and do a tune up yearly, . They don't try to make us purchases services we don't need. ABC Cooling & Heating is a trustwrthy company. I highly recommend them.

In short, the experience was terrible. While every company will have a bad day, ABC's actions to rectify their mistakes made an already bad experience worse. Initially, we contracted with ABC in August 2012 to perform a home energy audit. Once the audit was completed, we agreed on a course of action, which included: improved attic insulation, new baffles on the eaves, and a metallic bubble over the attic stairs. David, the technician completing the audit, was very professional. Five stars. He walked me around the house and showed me the heat leakage through the IR camera. Awesome. The trouble began when the crew spraying eighteen inches (18") of insulation into our attic knocked a duct loose, which was not discovered until David returned to do the follow-up audit. Fixing this required two additional visits to our home: one to find the loose duct and reattach it and second to redo the audit. In parallel, we replaced the windows in our home to increase our rebate. When submitting our rebate paperwork, ABC did not indicate a window-replacement permit was required, which required us to make two separate trips to the city planning office. The last piece of our retrofit involved the metallic bubble over the attic stairs. Due to inaccurate measurements by ABC, they visited our home three additional times to finally install it correctly. In summary, it took eight visits by ABC, two trips to the city planning office, and four months to complete our energy audit and corresponding retrofits. While every company has a bad day, I cannot recommend ABC to my friends and family.

Repairs were quick professional and politely done.

My 91 yer old Grandmother hasa floor heater which is not working very well. Although it was replaced less than te years ago. After scouring Angie's List I came acros ABC Cooling and Heating. Sue called me first thing in the morning and scheduled a appointment for an esimate. Not only did the tehnician look at my Grandmothers's heater, he also took a look at th second heater in teh house. Sue gave us a follow up call and we look forward to exploring repairs and cost. Th technician was very generous with his time.

It was very hot and the A/C at our rental house was not working..They were very prompt and came out same day as called..They serviced the A/C and replace a part and got the A/C working again!

We returned home late this Saturday night in January to find our 30 year old furnace not working and the house very cold. Most H-vac companies were closed weekends but when I called ABC on Sunday the friendly dispatcher said they could have someone here between 2pm and 6pm. They said there would be a $59 charge for the diagnostic with an estimate offered for any needed repairs. Ben arrived a little before 5pm, diagnosed the problem, told us the price of replacing the worn out part, and had its replacement in his truck. When we asked, he told us the replacement cost for the entire furnace, which was considerably higher than the cost of the part. Despite its age our unit has been otherwise effective, so we went with the part. Because of our 10% Angie's list discount, the ignition module price was reduced by $45. The repair was successful and the house warmed up very quickly. Ben was friendly, informative, and fast. Great service.

Heating failure. Did not hear from them.

The technician came and spent 4 hours looking at air flow and electrical usage and our power bills. He ran the blower door test, he checked the A/C and the furnace and air ducts. He explained what he found as he went and said it would be summarized in a report. He was very professional and very good at explaining things. The second man came a few weeks later and went over the report that looked at various parts of our house efficiency - air gaps, A/C, etc Since we had already done extensive work to improve our efficiency, the house was at the top of the charts in efficiency. Our A/C and furnace are at the age they need to be replaced so we talked about possible replacements. Unfortunately, he did not ask what was important to us at the beginning so we ended up looking at products that did not do what we needed. We did eventually get to the point of a couple of air conditioners and furnaces that might fit the bill. The salesman was not pushy and in fact didn't really ask for the sale. Overall experience was well worth what we paid and I would encourage you to consider using this company or another like it to help make your house healthier and more energy efficient.
