Short story: they did an amazing job all the way around. If I had to do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing. From the initial energy efficiency audit to the actual work to receiving the rebate check in the mail, ABC was completely awesome. Mike Stone was always available and kept me very well informed at all stages of the process -- even as I changed my mind as to what I wanted several times during the quoting process (sorry about that, Mike). One of the other things I liked about ABC and Mike is that they were VERY clear about what they were and were not capable of doing themselves, and were ready with referrals for any work we needed that they did not cover (extra electrical, other repipe options like PEX, etc.). With the exception of the asbestos removal, ABC performed all the work noted above themselves with no subcontractors or outside labor groups. His team is very friendly, professional, and efficient; they cleaned up and vacuumed the spots in the house where they worked, and put their equipment away and cleaned up at the end of every day. We never once regretted having them in our home during the project. And I cannot say enough good things about their master plumber, Angel. The quality of the work he did is second to none. I might have to break a few things just to have him come back. Angel was patient, extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and a great resource for advice before and during the process. We opted to do all this work at one time, and Mike and his team obliged. Due to the number of things we needed them to do, it definitely took longer than a couple of days, but we are very satisfied with the results. They scheduled the final inspections and even applied for our rebate for us. It was a very pleasant process, and I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking to do any of this sort of work.

The furnace in our new home died, so we started calling top-ranked Angie's List providers. Where other providers were either not answering their phone or requiring 24-48 hours notice, ABC picked up immediately and had a technician at our door in just a few short hours. And this is Pacifica, halfway across the Bay Area from their location! The technician was polite, knowledgeable and hard working, and determined the problem in short order. We elected to replace the furnace (and NOT because they pushed us to do so). The next morning Michael Stone came out from ABC to discuss options and generate a quote. He worked with me to determine the best option for OUR needs, not pushing us into the most expensive option. I definitely got the sense that ABC is interested in building client relationships, not one-off sales. Michael was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and worked hard to put together a proper solution for us. The price was itemized so I knew exactly where the money was going, and he carefully explained each line item in detail. Excellent customer service here. The installers came the very next day! Can you believe the service level? They did a fantastic job of installing the furnace, but I was most impressed with the new duct and vent. We were expecting to have to do some drywall repair, especially since they were asked to move a light fixture and wiring. But to my surprise everything was super clean and perfect when they were finished. Seriously, we will be using ABC for all future HVAC needs. These guys work hard to earn your business.

Great service. Allan and his assistants were very professional. The system they installed is well suited to the house and heavily insulated. Have not needed heat yet so I don't know how well it works, but they plan to come out and do any fine tuning needed. Allan was even able to repair the auto-ignitor on the hot water heater (an unrelated problem) when restarting the gas, something that recently confounded two plumbers who had been working at the house. Turned out to be a broken wire. The estimate was below my expectations and the work was done on schedule (they were here ahead of time and ready to go). They removed the old floor heater and put in a subfloor in its opening. Generally I'd say they are good at all the intricacies of this kind of work, which involves electrical, gas, carpentry adjustment and drain piping, even roof sealing. Jeff, who scoped the project, is very knoweledgeable and clear about the costs and outcome. I may call these guys about insulation or solar instalation down the road.

Repair technician arrived earlier than promised because he finished previous job sooner than expected. Completed repairs in about 30 minutes. Repair was done the same day that I called; unlike other provider that was unable to provide service until 8 days after initial call.

They did a very good job of it and they were very good at testing and verifying our process. They seemed knowledgeable in what they were doing and were flexible. They discussed with us what we wanted and they adapted the work to make sure for what we wanted and not wanted. We are very pleased with them.

As they always have been, ABC plumbing was polite, prompt, & efficient, both on the telephone. & in person. Santiago was professional & completed the work in short order. I appreciated the foot covers whenever he came in the house. We definitely will use ABC for all our plumbing/heating/ air conditioning needs.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and I also got a free Starbuck's gift card with this deal. They were wonderful, punctual and professional. The gentleman who went up into the attic to check out the air conditioning found a situation that he corrected. It cost me a little more, but I was glad that he fixed it. I was very happy with them. I paid about $200 more than the Big Deal.

Ripped me off in my opinion. They received $59 for coming to my house for 15 minutes. The guy pulled the filter out and said you really don't need this. Asked me what the other company said the problem was and said that looks about right. UPDATE: I was contacted by a manager after the review appeared on Angie's List. Said he wanted to "make things right". After obtaining estimates from other companies it was apparent that ABC was not as thorough as other companies. I appreciate that the manager did attempt to make things right, however it was in my best interest to work with another company.

He came in and spent the whole day checking everything. Said all was good.

Very hot and our back of the house air conditioner went out. Third company we called from Angie's list and they could come out in the afternoon from 1-5. They called at 4pm, would be delayed. Called at 5:00pm and said okay to come if later, as technician was behind. We said please come. He looked at furnace air unit and filters, fixed the air condition unit which was an electrical problem; looked at our other air conditioner for front side of house and he said no problem and not worth spending money to inspect further. Total bill: Their minimum $59 visit. I certainly will call them first time next time have a problem with furnance or air conditioning, or other things they have on their flyer, and am thinking about a regular inspection program.

The process went smoothly. I first called them to repair my existing floor heater (over 50 years old). The repair person went under the house to look at the heater and showed me photos of the problem. Based on the photos, I agreed the heater could not be repaired. A sales person came out that same day to discuss my options. We agreed on central heat which would require some construction in my attic. The job was scheduled, the installation team showed up as scheduled and completed the work well within the estimated time (2 days). They were professional and left the job site clean at the end of the day. The new heater was installed in the attic and they respected my concerns about where not to install the new gas line. In the end, they were able to use an existing gas line and piped the new portion so that it could be easily modified if I ever needed to add additional appliances. We agreed they would not need to finish the new opening to the attic as I was going to install a pull down ladder, so instead they added a light and switch near the attic opening for my convenience! The only trouble I had was that a small filter was not installed according to city code. The filter was there, just not in the exact spot per the code. Given how complex building codes are, this was not a major problem for me. When I called ABC, they sent someone out to fix this at no charge and the heater passed inspection. I would definitely use them again. I also appreciated the fact that when a visit was scheduled during a window of time, I always received a call notifying me when the service person was on their way.

It went fabulous. They were punctual and clean. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did it in record time. They recommended very good contractors for asbestos removal. They were a lot more expensive than my other bids but it was worth it.

It turned out my home was in better shape than I thought it would. It was nice to have the actual survey and all that stuff. Their services met my expectations. If you are curious to know what with the worst 2:02-2:04 in terms of heating and cooling efficiency such as are the windows leaking really bad or the ducts leaking really bad. There are definitely things that I could do to fix which is cool. The person came out with an equipment to force air to the system. The person was an expert at furnaces so he was able to examine the state of everything. It was good. 3:24-3:29. They were very prompt in e-mailing me. They were on time. I would use them again if necessary. If it came back and it said that I would need a lot of replacement. At that point, I would go, price out, ask, and redo the quality assessment. He seemed competent and experienced. I do not know if they overcharged. He sort of described that normally the survey costs quite a bit more than the promo. So, I have no idea what the normal 4:23-4:24. For the Angie?s List promo, I felt like I got a great deal, and I think they were hoping that I would end up buying a lot more service. Hopefully, they did not feel like they got a bad end of a bargain. 4:44-4:46.

I paid $69 for an estimate to fix A/C. Nice young man diagnosed the problem. Very prompt, professional, polite young man. 5 stars. BUT... the followup call was a VERY heavy handed sales call. The salesman really pushed for a full replacement of the HVAC unit - $8600!!! I kept telling him I was on a budget, wanted some less costly alternatives - but he kept saying "you don't want that, you want POWER!" I ended up having a friend look at it. He moved one wire, unit has been working just fine since then. I felt they weren't really making any attempt to work with me, just pushing the MAXIMUM solution. If my friend hadn't been able to fix it, I'd have gone with a smaller unit - from a company that listened to their customers better.

I have no problem and my experience to them went fine. They were on time and got the job done, I am hoping that they will going to run that big deal this year and I'm waiting to take advantage of it.

They came out a couple of months ago. They were very good. I don't recall the exact price. I would give them top marks and I would recommend them. They were very good. It was fine. They were very cordial. They were very pleasant to deal with.

My experience was fantastic. They are a great company. He was very personable and knowledgeable about what he was doing. I like to sometimes ask some dumb questions just to see how they deal with customers, and he was nice and did the job perfectly. Everything works great. The price was excellent compared to another estimate that I had in the past.

There were two errors with the sales rep, I was informed he was new. After our first meeting, I received a quote for the installation. When I made the decision to go ahead with their service, he told me he a made an error and the cost would be higher. I was not comfortable with this error and the rep did offer a discount for his error. The installation itself went pretty well. They were polite, punctual and professional..... except for one small incident when I asked one of the installers to please protect my decorative patio as the old heater was being removed from my crawlspace. He seemed bothered by my request, but did place some protection down....I did end up with a few noticeable scatches. At the end of a long day, I had to make sure I received a function that I had requested with the sales rep, but the installers were not made aware of. They were polite and professional and corrected the error quickly. The day after the installation, the office called and told me a key form needed to lock in the financial arrangement I had signed, was not given to me at the time I accepted the offer. The sales rep had forgotten to give it to me to sign and I was told the financial agreement was no longer available. I said I would not accept the sales reps error. They apologized to me and stated that the original agreement would be honored. So even though there were a couple of errors with the sales rep, ABC did correct these problems immediately and with no negativety.

It went very well. They had good customer service and response time and the product is what they said it would be.

They did a phenomenal job. There customer service was very good. They had a reasonable price and they were very forthcoming with alternatives, they were very honest.
