I have used him twice because he did such a good job. He did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend. They are very friendly, personable, and professional. They guy was also on time.

Matt Comer returned my initial phone call the same day, and assured me that he would be able to make a service call to my location on the date that I would be available. He reconfirmed the time with me in the morning, and arrived at the house exactly as promised. He had completed the work within an hour, and was competent and very professional.

I called Matt, and he came right when he said he would.I told him I found him on Angie's List and he immediately gave me the discount. I told him exactly what I was looking for, and he actually told me I didn't need that much work, that he could make the room bright enough with fewer lights. (recessed) He also suggested a different kind of light in the bathrooms, that I didn't even know existed. He was the first one of the contractors to start on the remodel. His employee was a very skilled worker, they started at opposite ends of the house, without skipping a beat, didn't stop for lunch, just kept going. All in all, they accomplished 99 percent of all the work on that one day! I couldn't believe it. Other contractors had to do their part, and there was a lot of back & forth over a 2 month period. Then Matt came to finish it off, 1st and last.The last day was very technical, he was very knowledgable, went as far as he could go, said he needed to go at it from a different direction, that he needed to go to the store to make it easier all the way around. With no extra charge to me, he just took care of business, and he was done. Why can't all contractors be like this? Knowledgeable, efficient, prompt, and FAIR? I will definitely be calling Matt back for anything electrical that comes up. GREAT JOB! Appreciated so much.

Matt was consistently professional, knowledgable, responsive, capable and pleasant throughout this project. He provided many useful suggestions about the various details of the work to be done and we were very pleased with the quality of his work.

Matthew Comer is the guy we dealt with. He was supposed to come and it has been a couple of months now. I never got a call. He never came and he never called me back. So, I was very disappointed. I made an appointment in September. I still haven’t got an electrician. Matthew did a lot of work for me in the past. I was having some difficulties with some other parts of the house. So, I wanted him to come out. He has fixed other things for me, but he didn’t call back this time. I waited for him and he didn’t show up. He has been like that. I thought I needed some GFCI plugs replaced. I told him to bring it with him and maybe he could fix it in an hour and be done with it. He used to say that he would be out the next day or in the morning, but he never showed up. It’s not fair since he thinks that he can fool people up because he did that a lot when he was doing my kitchen and I was stuck. I now need to find another electrician. He did excellent work in the past. However, he used to always say that he would come, but never showed up. I understand if he is hung up with another job, but I want him to call. It was about $4000 for the electrical work in the kitchen. I repeatedly have problems in getting him out and he gives an excuse after excuse. He is the most charming person you could ever meet. I wish I could adopt him; that’s the kind of guy he is, but he needs to learn to be reliable. I thought he was right there, price wise. He was reasonable. He was having trouble with the guy working for him and he had to keep coming back to fix some things. I then found out later that the guy hooked my microwave up with a circuit in my living room, but I think it only had one plug on it. When we put the window air conditioner in that window and plugged it in, it blew the fuse which wasn’t good. It wasn’t Matthew, but it was one of his new guys working for him. Matthew does a lot of the work himself and he is an A when he does the work himself. His punctuality was very bad. I am not going to use him again.

Matt came and gave me an estimate and then I couldn't have him back for a month but he arrived on time and did everything he said he would do in the amount of time that I had alloted. He was friendly, professional, and very fair. He is coming back after the first of the year to change some lighting fixtures.

After I accessed Angielist, and found highly recommended Comer Electric, I found the solution to the mess that my prior contractor had left me in. The valuable lesson is consult AngieList first, not after somebody else wasted your money!

Several years ago we had installed a new heater/air-conditioner. Unfortunately, they installed the forced air unit (fau) on the same line as our kitchen appliances. A little while ago we got a new kitchen appliance and began to trip the breaker when we used it. So we called Comer Electric from Angie's List. Matt Comer, the owner of the company, came out to diagnose our problem. He was very personable, professional and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He said we had to put the fau on a separate electrical line to prevent the problem we had been having. He said that the cost of installing a new line would be $600. I gave him the coupon from Angie's List. He accepted it without any hesitation and said the cost would now be $480. He made an appointment to install the new line. He arrived at the appointed day and time. He immediately began to work. He cleaned up after himself, leaving nothing behind to indicate any work had been done except a newly installed breaker in the electrical breaker box. We have had no problem since he performed his work. If I have any electrical problems in the future, I will definitely call Matt Comer to fix them. I can say without any reservation, I would recommend him to anyone who has an electrical problem.

Matt was extremely late for both the appointment to provide the estimate and the work. He was over an hour late for the estimate appointment. He did not call to say he was running late. So, I confirmed via email the day before the appointment for the work both time and date. He stated he would be "their". Perhaps this should have been an indication that he would not be "there" on time. Again, Matt neither called nor e-mailed that he was running late. After he was over a half hour late for the appointment, I placed a telephone call to him. He stated he would arrive in a few minutes. Over 45 minutes later, he arrived. He performed the work and replaced the fixture. I have not commented on the quality of work because it has only been one week.

Scheduling: He keeps busy, so it was a few days before he could see us. He said if it was an emergency, he would have seen us sooner. His diagnosis of matters was quick, as were his repairs. All told, he was here less than a half hour. So far, no problems with the light in the bathroom, so we think he really did fix the problem. Pleasant guy too. P.S. Our cost was a bit lower than he normally charges, because he gave us the discount for being a first-time customer with him through Angie's list.

As typically these things happen, we woke up on a holiday morning (Colombus Day) to discover that the light fixture on our dining/living room ceiling wouldn't turn on. I figured that the dimmer switch went bad. So I went to OSH and bought a new dimmer switch and installed it myself, but the lights still did not work. I tried replacing it with another switch. Still no luck. That's when I threw in the towel and called Matt Comer. Although it was already mid-morning when I called Matt, he was able to fit us into his schedule and he came over like he said he would and solved our problem for us. I highly recommend Matt Comer. He is one of those rare professionals whom you can trust to do quality work for a reasonable price. On top of that, he is neat, respectful, courteous, personable and responsive. I will be calling Matt for all of my electrical work from now on.

Matt is not only the consummate professional in terms of his work (quality and speed), but he is also very friendly and straightforward - extremely easy to work with. He was very sympathetic about our stringent budget and worked accordingly. We began with a 1950s house with its original wiring and in very, very bad shape. Many of the outlets were non-functinoal and did not have the required safety features (ground, etc.). We had no idea what we were doing, but we liked him from the beginning. He was extremely patient as we waited weeks and months from the beginning of the project to the end. We also hired a general contractor with whom we had to coordinate schedules at some point. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and we didn't begin work for approx. 2 months. At the point that we began the rewiring, we realized perhaps we timed it wrong, and there were times that he needed to wait for some contractor work to be completed before finishing the job. So he was able to come back several times while we worked through the fiasco we created. He was always very upbeat and professional, and he speaks clear English which is a big deal for us. We were extremely grateful that he gave us pointers and tips along the way. These were not necessarily for additional work but to increase our awareness of how electrical work is integrated into the entire house. Never having rented a house before and living in only apts., we were slightly clueless as to what we should include. Now, about 3 months later, we are very thankful that he suggested the outdoor motion detector lights for safety. We would have never thought of that. Also in the bathroom, he found very nice fans which are extremely quiet. In previous apts. the bathroom fan is so loud that the occupants have to yell to be heard in a different room. With the fans and heater/fan units he selected, I have left the fan on all day more than once when leaving for work, because I can't hear them operating. To give you an idea of the kind of person he is, we had a misdelivery of a huge bathroom vanity. It came on the wrong day, and we had no way of getting the 200 lb. unit into the house while we were away for the day. We were on the phone about the job, and I was complaining about this. Because his other job was close, he offered to swing by and help the cabinet guy to bring it into the house for us. I don't find it appropriate to ask contractors to "help" in this way as it borders on taking advantage of them, but he offered himself. It's an illustration of the type of character he has, that he is not out to "take your money." Another example, when we first moved in, I plugged in the old toaster oven, and it started to smoke. Twice this happened, and we thought there was a problem with the wiring. He came over right away, first thing the next morning when we were available, and found the problem: smoking toast crumbs that had shifted in the move onto the heating element. LOL. We were very impressed by his responsiveness to address this problem so quickly and were very relieved it was not an electrical problem. We were extremely pleased with Comer Electric and will always call on Matt for our electrical problems. His years of experience combined with an outstanding attitude make him an incredible winner for us.

Matt came to our house within 45 minutes of the call, and immediately saw the problem. He had the new switch installed within 10 minutes.

We had a problem with lights that went out and a previous electrician was not able to figure out. Matt came out the same day I called and was able to troubleshoot the problem quickly. Took him less than an hour to figure it out. I also had him change a light fixture we had. Very happy with his professionalism and responsiveness.

On the day he gave me the estimate, Matt obtained the inspection paper and gave it to me the next day. On Monday, Matt and his helper arrived on time and started to work immediately. Matt left and came back several times during the day to supervise and help with the work. They had to cut back a bouganvillea plant that was surrounding the current panel so they could work on it. After several hours, the power was back on, the line had been run to the fireplace and another line had been run to the side of the house to accommodate a sprinkler irrigation control box. The next day, Matt came back and installed the surge protector.

Matt came over quickly and put this circuit on the energized half, plus worked with the electric company when they arrived, because it was a problem which originated on the pole. Subsequently he returned later to change the circuit back to its original position. He's a personable young man who is easy to talk to, and we would definitely hire him again.

Price was very reasonable. Very professional and courteous. The best thing was that he was willing to offer free advice over the phone next time I had any questions or problems. (Of course I could never take him up on his offer) But still a very generous and genuine gesture by him. This guy has his business dialed in and is a true professional.

We are very pleased and we are happy that we were able to watch TV over the 4th of July weekend! We are asking him to install GFI outlets in the kitchen this week.

We had a wonderful experience with Comer Electric. We called and Matt came out the very next day (Sunday, Father's Day!). He was professional and very efficient; however, friendly and easy going at the same time! He fixed the problem and didn't rush the job. We will definitely use Matt in the future, as well as refer him to any one of our friends.

We needed additonal electrical lights and outlets plus rechannel some overloaded circuits in our 1957 home. We selected Matt Comer because: (1) he is in our locale, (2) he performs the work personally and (3) he earned high praise from other Angie's List customers. Matt was punctual, responsive and considerate of tidy working conditions. He is a professional, and his work shows it. He's very personable too.

Matt is on time (actually 5 minutes early) helped assess the projects and suggested alternatives to save time and expense. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever...the work was exactly what we wanted and high quality. If Matt ever gets tired of electrical work, he could be very successful teaching other contractors about customer service.

I would like to start by saying that Matt, the owner of Comer Electric, is one of the best in the business! We were so impressed with Matt being punctual, professional, friendly and being fairly priced! Our doorbell replacement was a difficult task to repair and his ability to be a "wire" surgeon who saved us from tearing our walls apart, and saving our pocket book.:-) I noticed he always cleaned up and vacuumed when he finished. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Pleasant to deal with. Good sense of humor. Listened well and understood the problem(s). Was punctual and efficient. Fee was reasonable and was reduced when he found a simpler solution than originally envisioned. I shall use him for all future electrical needs.

Matt Comer was a pleasure to work with. He installed two chandeliers, a pendant light, and two sconces. He was willing to alter his schedule to accommodate ours. He was always conscious of the fact that he charges an hourly rate, so he wasted no time diagnosing the situation, explaining our options, and performing the work. He also recommended a more cost effective solution for the larger of the two chadeliers installed. We will definitely work with him again.
