Talkot Property Management

While I was promised great service and professional care with constant supervision of my property. I was told I had a great tenant who was a para-legal and had two small dogs. The truth was she was out of work and had six dogs and was in trouble with the law in LA county. Problems soon arose with bills of broken glass in the garbage disposal, dogs eating the sprinkler mains, and plugged air conditioners. Bills which were all deducted from my monthly check. I did on one occasion look over the back fence to check the back yard and found the grass almost dead with a horse shoe pit dug into the yard and a make shift desk that was turned into a diving board. When I presented the owner (Doug Akin) with pictures of the damage he called the renter and said he couldnt deal with her anymore. I vented my frustration several times , especially being charged for her damages. During the Christmas season the renter climbed up on the tile roof and did 1500.00 damage in broken tiles and repairs. I fired Talkot and hired a professional company. In all the total damages to my property was 9800.00. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment from a company that was paid to protect its customer and their property.
