Half Moon Bay Glass

I contacted HMB Glass in the hope that they could help us with some large pieces of glass in our horizontal sliders (and one large fixed window) that had steamed up internally due to their seals breaking down; I was hoping that they could replace just the glass instead of me needing to buy whole new windows/sliders, which would have been a whole different level of expense. I dropped by the shop in HMB to have this initial discussion. Mike from HMB Glass was incredibly helpful and efficient, and drove out here to give a free quote a couple of days later (he needed to ensure that the measurements were exact). After measuring, and giving some great advice on how the job would best be done, Mike made sure we had a quote very quickly. I was happy with the quote, and we had installation a week later once the glass had been ordered. Mike was able to take a deposit over the phone which allowed for the glass to be ordered, I felt this was very efficient. The fixed window was high up and not particularly "easy" to get to, but these guys deal with this all the time and it was no issue for them at all. Installation was also highly efficent and of very high quality, no mess and they also clean the glass for you afterwards. I then had our fly screens re-screened by HMB Glass, these had been through a rough time in our house with our dogs scratching at them over the years to either get in or out of the horizontal sliders, I would recommend getting this done as it totally renews the screen for a fraction of the cost of a new one if you have big windows like ours. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with HMB Glass, from initial discussion, to ordering, to the measuring & quote process, to the installation and follow up, and we will be going there for any glass/window related item we have in future. They also supply and install glass shower doors, which is another item we will be needing at some point soon here.

THIS COMPANY HAS A WIDE VARIETY TO CHOOSE FROM AT FAIRLY COMPETITIVE PRICES. THE INSTALLATION WENT SMOOTH, BUT THERE DID SEEM TO BE A LOT OF CAULKING THAT WAS OVERDONE ON THE WINDOWS, WHICH LEFT A MESSY LOOK. OVERALL THE QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS THEMSELVES HAVE BEEN GREAT AND THE COMPANY TOLD US ABOUT A PG&E REBATE SO WE COULD GET A LITTLE CASH BACK.
