Clay’s offered me great maintenance service. James and Daniel pumped our 1500 gallon concrete tank, evaluated the tank condition, performed in-tank maintenance, and added a needed filter to the system. The work was expertly performed with attention to detail. They also answered all my questions about the system and ongoing maintenance. A true five star team.

Great customer service. The office staff worked with me getting my work scheduled the same day. They arrived on time and discussed what needed to be done and what they could change to make it easier (less cost) next time the system need pumping. I decided to have them make some improvements and the work took them well past a normal work day. They were eifficent and got us up and going again. Very satisfied!

Great! Daniel and Matthew are great at their jobs. They work very hard and are fast. They are clearly experts. Clay's responded to a call on Saturday evening and were able to send help early Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon and all is well. Matthew and Daniel gave clear explanations and got the job done. They came out and evaluated the problem, set up an appointment, came back, and did it in a day. The price was exactly what they estimated. They gave helpful suggestions on how to solve the problems in the most reasonable way at a minimal cost.

I know that more people file negative reviews than positive ones. I have had a very positive experience with Clay's. Easter Sunday was not off to a good start. Our septic system started backing up into our house. We called Clay's at 10am and they told us they would be out to our house at 3. They showed up on time and walked us through what needs to happen to get everything back on track. By 4:30 they had everything wrapped up and fixed our system. Justus was very professional, helpful, and consultative. He provided options and future mitigation strategies. Clay's will be our first call. We will have them come out annually to take a look at our system.

They did a wonderful job -- the septic tank had been pumped about three years ago and I planned to have them come out this summer. With the rain and ??? the tank could not wait. They are very professional and do an excellent job. We highly recommend them.

Went very well. I contacted around 11:30 and talked to an actual person. They arrived at 2:30 pm the same day. Fast. Had septic tank pumped and all my lines jetted. Up and running by 5:00 pm. Work crew up front about pricing. No surprises. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Thank you Clays for saving the day.

Great - they were very professional and they tried to restore everything - the grass they had to remove, etc. They advised me of what needed to be done and why, and made me feel good by saying that I was managing the septic system well. They didn't rush and stayed until my contractor came to let him know the findings. It was Rudy and Richard who did the work.

I AM SURE THE NECKLACE WAS NOT WORTH AS MUCH AS THE COST OF RETRIEVING THE NECKLACE BUT THE CENTIMENTAL WORTH WAS BEYOUND WHAT YOU COULD IMAGINE. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO THEM AND THAT 'CLAY' HAS SUCH EXPERTS AVAILABLE AND ON THEIR STAFF. WHAT A BLESSING!!!! PEGGY LUTHER THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND EVEN GOOD NATURERED WHILE THEY WORKED TO FIND THE NECLACE. They could not have been more helpful, polite and neat. I can not say enough about this group from the office staff to the technicians.

Horribly. They never called. I found a charge for $1406 from them and when I called, they said they had sent me a report. The report said there were issues with the secondary side of the tank, the system "is functioning" but recommended a new tank. It also said "David needs to calk to Customer about findings", but no one ever discussed any of this with me. Instead, they reported me to the County, who informed me that I must remove and replace the tank. I called Clay's and asked to speak with Clay, but he never returned my call. When I told the receptionist that I had questions, she said it was an "open job" and that they had sent me a bid to remove/replace the tank, which I had not received. She emailed me a bid for $7,100. I then asked if this was for a traffic rated tank, and received an email that it is not but that they could draw up a new quote if it was meant to be driven over. I responded that it was in a drive way (which they knew as they had charged me $1,400 to locate, test and pump it in my driveway!). I asked for a revised bid 2+ weeks ago, but it never arrived.

All OK with all three of the septic tanks that were on the maintenance schedule for that day.

They are fast, dependable and clean. We have this service set up "Hassle Free"...they come, pump and go...all before we are open, so we never see...or smell the pumping. They do a great service to the restaurant industry. Thanks Clays!

From the start, the telephone response was very professional and the person was quite knowledgeable about the process! The first technician to arrive on site was on time, VERY knowledgeable, professional and he kept us engaged the entire day with status reports and stopped to show us findings/observations. He was also VERY hard working. The subsequent technicians arrived on time, were professional and VERY hard working! They worked until after 6PM to complete the task of re-building our septic tank in just one day! While the findings were worse than we wanted to hear (simple pumping to septic re-build), we couldn't be more pleased about the services provided. Also, the quote for the re-building was $200.00 lower than first discussed! The common theme from each and every person we conversed with from Clay's was being professional, up-front, knowledgeable, courteous and a really positive work ethic. It is quite clear that Clay's management has the highest expectation for excellence. Thank you!

Clogged line was "orangeburg" pipe a composite of fiber and tar. Tank excavated and opened. Tank was pumped out twice so Clay's could enter tank and rebuild deteriorated concrete in 43 year old tank. Discovered clog was in collapsed inlet orangeburg pipe and replaced with appropriate plastic pipe (more digging). Deteriorated parts of tank fixed with ABS sheeting and poured concrete. Lids replaced with risers to eliminate future digging. Filter put in new exit line (replaced too) from tank to leach line. Leach line tested and was still good. Micah and Matthew did all the work and were very competent and thorough. This took several days. Everything recovered, leveled out, cleaned and swept. I could not be more pleased. Before they left, they wanted to know if I was satisfied, I certainly was!

This septic line has been an on-going problem for years, as the original pipe was cracked & roots had invaded. Clay's Septic had come out previously to clean the line & showed us the problem with a camera. The line replacement was more difficult than anticipated, as the line was deep & the soil hard. The quote was very fair for the work that was done. The quote was to cut the concrete, dig out & replace the line, back-fill the dirt, & replace the concrete. They spent longer than they had anticipated, but completed the job in one day. They cleaned up the area & left the area as we requested it (the rocks they dug up we will clear). Both workers were pleasant & professional.

I only dealt with them over the telephone and email. They did what I asked and I am delighted. They were more expensive then I've paid in the past but as this is a yearly service perhaps the rates have gone up plus the business I used in the past that was less expensive also did not perform the service I needed this time and left me hanging. I plan to call them to perform this service for me in the future.

It went great, they were polite, came back when they said they would. When they were finished they cleaned their mess up.

I wanted to have the septic tank pumped out as a precaution. We were not having any trouble with it, but it had been a long time since the septic tank had been pumped. I tried to contact a contractor recommended by an acquaintance, but after leaving a voice message on two successive days, I gave up and went to Angie's List. I am new to Angie's List, and didn't really know what to expect. Several contractors were suggested, but Clay's Pumping was the only one listed which regularly worked in our area. I called them. The person who answered the phone said he might be able to arrange it the same day even though he knew it wasn't an emergency. He called back a few minutes later to say that they had a truck in my area, and the crew was just finishing up another job. He said they would be there in a half-hour. Approximately a half-hour later the truck pulled in. As far as I could tell they did a good job. The cost was as quoted on the phone. The cost seemed a little high, but they did come within a couple of hours of when I initially called. I could not even get a return phone call from the other contractor I called.

They actually stayed with it despite some complications. It turned out to be really expensive. They were hesitant to do the concrete work for us when it came up, but when we got the concrete poured by a different company, some of the problems were remedied. They actually did a great job pumping it.

process took 3 days and some clean up. After digging up the yard , installing the lines and covering, they evened out the soil and filled in any marks from the tractor. lawn is ready to grow back.
