It went great. They just really take good care of things, always check everything, and they catch things before anything goes wrong and try their best to do it at the least cost and all that. They are very good.
Description of Work: I used Five Cities Water Systems to replace my water softener and reverse osmosis.

Bob, the owner of the company and someone who has been in the reverse osmosis business since the systems were first adapted for residential use, came out to the house and evaluated both our water softener and reverse osmosis system at not cost and estimated what our likely costs would be. Since we had recently purchased the house, he checked out our main house water softener and got it working for us so that it was effectively softening our very hard well water- something the softener had not been doing before. He then checked out our reverse osmosis system and suggested we have it serviced- which we already knew was due to have done. We also have a guest house and had purchased a water softener for that which we wanted to have installed. Bob set up an appointment to have his service tech service the reverse osmosis system and install the separate water softener in the guest house. Brandon, the service tech, came out on the date we had scheduled and arrived on time. He is very good natured, knows his business, having worked for Bob for 13 years, and set out immediately to install the water softener in the guest house. He had never installed this brand before but had no trouble, using the owner's manual, figuring out what to do and completing a clean installation. He then serviced the reverse osmosis system and we were impressed that he didn't try to sell us parts we didn't need. For example, the 2 gallon water holding tank is something that sometimes needs to be replaced after a number of years but he indicated that, though older, ours appeared not to be crudded up or otherwise in need of repair. A new metal tank would have cost an additional $75 but he indicated ours was good for now so only serviced the unit. All in all, we were impressed with both Bob and Brandon, felt that they were both very knowledgeable about the water treatment business, both were easy to work with, and also felt that the company was a consumer friendly company dedicated to their clients and maintaining a reputation for a good job at a fair price. They had been recommended to us by a friend and we won't hesitate to recommend them either. Our only complaint is that they only take cash or checks so we had to pay now.
Description of Work: 1) Installed a Costco purchased water softener.2) Serviced our existing reverse osmosis water purifier system.

The RO is substandard, I did not need a whole house filter and the ScaleStop was a disaster. It allowed the hard water to etch our brand new flatware, glasses and plates and sinks. When I approached Bob to ask for a refund for the ScaleStop he refused. He knew the system was worthless yet continued to sell the system in our development and those homeowners were refunded their money and Bob's ScaleStop is no longer offered for sale there. Unfortunately for me I purchased directly from Bob and not the developer so I was not refunded my money. I know that Bob does not deal honestly and will not refund my money so if you are considering doing business with "Water Bob" DON"T!
Description of Work: I purchased three water treatment systems from Five Cities Water Systems. An RO, a whole house filtration system and a unique water treatment filtration called ScaleStop which is supposed to treat water in such a way that will not allow scale to build up on dishes, glass and in pipes.
