On the bathroom, some of the tile, Matt Clark, was back ordered so a job that was supposed to be 3-4 weeks took 9. So when we did the kitchen, had all the materials available prior to the job starting. Sometimes, I feel I did not get a call back in a timely manner but realized the company is very busy.
Description of Work: Redid our master bathroom, enlarging shower area, everything new except the cabinets. I picked out the tile and showed to their estimater. They replaced flooring in another bath and laundry room. Redid out kitchen, except for cabinets and appliances. All new flooring, led lighting in ceiling, lighting under cabinets. New counter tops, back splash, sink etc. Love everything and would have them do another job if I had one. Most of the materials came from Pacific Kitchen and Bath: sink, facets and mirrors and San Luis Marble for counter tops, Silstone, backsplash and custom over the stove and flooring. Have been purchasing from Pacific Kitchen and Bather for almost 20 years, both places had great service.

Casey Johnston is not a good general contractor. His ability to manage my routine kitchen remodel was poor. It was like he had never done it before. His initial bid was WAY low compared to his final charges, even though I never changed the scope of work. He could not keep track of who was arriving at my house to work, or when they would be arriving. I was constantly having to make him fix mistakes made by his team. And the building inspector made him address a bunch of things that he did wrong. Towards the end of the project, he simply began to be rude, which is very unprofessional. He did this project two years ago, and the drywall he installed is now cracked. And the door he installed doesn't work right. Overall, it was a sloppy job and overpriced. And probably worst of all, his sloppiness exposed my pregnant wife to construction dust (lead?, asbestos? silica?), which is inexcusable. I wish I had looked elsewhere, and I would encourage you to learn from my mistake.
Description of Work: I hired Casey Johnston to remodel my kitchen in San Luis Obispo.
